The ladies got me in and started working on me right away. At one point I had two servicing me at the same time! They made sure I got exa what I wanted. Only reason 4/5 is because they did cut my skin on a few nails and hella glue on my finger. Other than that I'll be back! read more

This honestly had to be the worst experience ever. My sister and I came here to get mani pedis on a Sunday. They were kind of short staffed with just 4 folks and about 6 people needing things done. While the lady who did my feet did a fair enough job, the guy who did my hands was AWFUL. There was no filing of my nails properly - they were all crooked and when I asked to fix each nail by pointing at it, he made a face and proceeded to hem and haw and talk under his breath. He cut my cuticles with such speed and force that I came out with frayed edges more than I have ever had. There was no shoulder massage involved even though I could see other patrons were receiving some. Absolutely sloppy color job - it was all over my cuticles and he made a face again when I asked him to clean it up. The color stayed for less than a day before peeling off. My sister's experience was no better - for the price we paid, this is just absolutely gross! read more

I spent over 2 hours to only get my nails done and was completely dissatisfied. I was insulting by the nail technician, when I asked if they had gold foil for a nail design she stated"we don't do those kind of nails here, we typically service professional women". After waiting an unexperienced nail tech put the nails on incorrectly and the nail tech I was then handed off too proceeded to do my nails. I give them 5 stars because they have everything that's important from a nail salon. They are very sweet and friendly, they paid a lot of attention to detail, and take their time to make it right. She inspected my toes very closely and touched them up before finishing. They help each other when they can, so I had one girl doing my nails while the other was doing my feet. I love the hot stones, hot towels, and sugar scrub/calf massage and also a hand massage. The massage chair is an added bonus and the water was nice and hot. If you have sensitive skin, the hot stones and hot water might be a little too hot for you so keep that in mind. A lady next to me was getting her hands massaged, maybe before a manicure, and she asked how long he could massage her for and he said 45 min and that he went to school for massage in Orlando. So that seems to be an option if you want to ask about it? I'll definitely be back here :) good price too, $45 for mani/pedi. read more

Of all the nail salons I've patroned over the last ten years, this is my all time fave. There are no strong chemical odors hitting you when you walk through the door. The staff is always pleasant and friendly. The leg massages with the stones are pure heaven and warm towel wraps are the standard. Came in for a gel manicure and my mom got pedi and acrylic refill with gel polish at their suggestion. And while the service was ok, they kept asking my mom what polish she was chose eventhough she already answered 3 different people. The pricing also was a but inconsistent, because the board said 25 for gel manicure but I was charged 35? Overpriced! When a nail salon doesn't show their prices then you know something is up. I used to come here all the time in high school and now I would never step foot in this place. The girl doing my feet made by feet bleed and when I asked her about it she said it wasn't bleeding but I know red when I see. I told the guy there about it he said it was red because I stomped my toe. Now what kind of BS is that! I regret not leaving but I'm leaving for a trip and I had no time to go anywhere else. The pedicure was mediocre and they charged me $52! The hot stones were cold and the towels were stained. They guy tried to do my nails while I was getting a pedi and before I knew it he had nail shavings all over my black leggings. I feel scammed but I'm the fool because I should of left. My bestie and I were searching for a pedicure. We wanted: -massage chairs -cheesy magazines -ample chat time in side by side chairs -not to get toe fungus Unique knocked this one out of the park. For $28 we got to completely relax in their massage chairs, a clean foot bowl, super friendly workers, a STONE (!!!) massage, a scrub and lotion in addition to perfectly painted toes. So I want to start by saying I would have given this place 5 stars if the customer service would have been better and Judy did NOT start off with my pedicure! This lady should be banned from doing any and all Mani/Pedi and waxing. It's not her forte! When I walked in, they had soft music playing which I was happy about. I was like finally I get to relax. Well I was instructed to go to the back for the Pedi only to be asked by the people in the back what I needed. I told them and they told me to have a seat. The chairs are pretty worn out. I noticed that they offered other people water or something to drink but didn't ask me. I sat for about 10 minutes before someone ran the water for my Pedi. The water was blistering HELL hot! I almost started speaking in another language! Lol. After cooling the water down, I sat about another 20 minutes and now the water is Ice cold! Judy comes over and she didn't do half of the things you're suppose to do when doing a pedi! I said nope and then Tien took over. She cleaned up my pedi and did my mani and I must say she did an amazing job! She was really sweet! I enjoyed her services and she is the ONLY reason for these 3 stars! For her personally I give her 5 stars! Judy is the only one to do waxing supposedly. Oh my goodness! Worst ever! I had to come home and clean up my own eyebrows after paying a total of $75 for everything. I wouldn't recommend her to wax my dog! Enough about this. I have a headache from this place. Lol. I will go back but only to see Tien. Other than that, I'd pay more to get better service elsewhere! read more

New to Baton Rouge and coming from a city where there are tons of $20 pedicure places. I had one other pedicure in town, found it lacking, and it cost $25. Seems that is the cheapest you can find. Now, at Unique Nails, the basic pedicure is $32, but it is divine. The places is nicely maintained, they have lots of chairs, they offer you a complimentary water, and give your feet a nice hot stone massage. My toes look amazing and I felt comfortable and welcome there. I was also impressed that at one point, there were more men getting pedicures than women! I think that's great. Definitely worth the wait! I went on a Friday evening at 6pm to get a pedicure and it seemed pretty busy. The staff put me in a massage chair with the footbath while I waited, which was nicer than having to just wait in the waiting area. I had tried earlier in the day to make an appointment, but I don't think they take appointments. The wait was pretty long until an aesthetician was able to take care of me (almost an hour), but once she got started, I knew I made the right decision to stick around. You can tell that no matter how busy they get, they take the time to make sure each client gets the full treatment and has a great experience. They don't rush to make sure they can flip the chairs as fast as they can, which was really nice to see. My aesthetician was Judy and she did a fantastic job! My pedicure will look great in sandals for this warm weather. But I think what I loved even more was the massages during your pedicure. The salt scrub and calf massage felt great, and I was really excited that they also used the hot stones in their massages of your calves and feet. I left Unique Nails & Spa with a great pedicure, relaxed legs, and excitement for when I can go back again. I will probably make sure that when I go, I am not in a rush or have anywhere to be immediately after just in case it is busy again. One thing to know: while the sign says that they close at 7pm, they stop taking people at 6:30pm. So make sure to get there before then if you are coming in the evening. read more
