Came here to partake in Burger Week and enjoyed the fun decor and creative food combinations. Servers were friendly and our order was accurate. They have a small game room with skee ball and slots. We had been at this spot a few years ago when it was a different establishment so we were eager to try it under the guidance of I believe the folks who own Rare (we love their happy hour). We grabbed an outside table on their small patio since it was a nice night. I did not get a good look at the inside but it appeared that one end was dedicated to arcade games.... Our waitress was friendly but both times the drinks from the bar took a long time to get delivered. The second time the woman who appeared to be the manager was outside and we asked about our missing drink - she did get it but she seemed a bit surly. We ordered some cheese curds for our visitor from out of state - they were pretty typical. Two in our group ordered the Walleye fish sandwich which they both thought was very good. I opted for the lobster roll - it was disappointing. Tiny bits of lobster and alot of filler. Definitely not worth the price (especially since I recently had a really good one at a new seafood place in One Social Food Hall downtown). Overall a mixed bag. read more

Stopped in to this new establishment that has just celebrated their 6 month anniversary. Music is great and the menu looks good! We ordered the smoked blue with a Cesar salad. Both very delicious and made perfectly. Bridgett was so friendly and helpful. So glad we found the place. You've got to try them out. They have a great beer selection as well! You have to go here for the Friday night fish fry! The walleye was delicious, flaky fish with a tasty light breading. Potato pancakes were crispy & the apple sauce was warm like mom use to make. Friendly service, very attentive & she knew the menu which is always a plus! Great location with very cool decor. Love the game room for some added fun! read more

This place is excellent! They have a great twist to some ordinary ideas. The dumpling taco things, massive flavor. The Rangoon nachos are an absolute must order item. I've had both, the classic smash burger and the smoky bleu cheeseburger. Both are delicious. Finally, the bar. Perfect cocktails! I have nothing bad to say about either of my two visits. Stopped in for lunch during the week. It was relatively quiet when I sat at the bar. The bartender (who also served as the server for the dining room) was extremely friendly and welcoming-walking through the menu and popular items with me. Unbeknownst to me, UCT is owned by the same people behind Rare (on the square). The bartender recommended the smash burger so I went with his suggestion. The smash burger was definitely on the large side. Accompanied with some tasty fries, it largely lived up to the bartender's hype. Nestled between a soft potato bun, the patties could have benefited from a harder sear. Paired with a black garlic smash sauce, it was fairly one note. A sharp bite of raw onion would have done wonders. They have a happy hour from 4-6 Tuesday thru Friday that I would be interested in checking out (attached a picture of the current HH offerings). read more

This place just opened a few days ago and I was blown away by how good everything was. The staff were beyond amazing, friendly and attentive. The vibe and decore are super chill and welcoming. And for a place that seems to be going for casual local tavern, the food and the cocktails are very elevated (my wife and I conversed with the staff and we were told the head chef worked for a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Chicago, and you can tell by the food). We got the corn ribs which were essentially elotes that were carved into strips. We will probably be getting that every time we come back here. Then we shared the braised short rib *chefs kiss*. Very juicy and tender, and the sauce was wonderful. We live in the neighborhood so we'll be back to try the rest of the menu in the future (this is the 3rd and best iteration of this space, previously Taste of Ukraine). The location is a little out of view from E. Wash but I hope this place thrives, 100% would recomend. read more

We had a fabulous dinner this evening. Our waitress accommodated our special needs with a smile. We had a couple of issues, but they worked it out for us exceptionally. I ordered the Reuben, which had healthy portions. We also ordered a fish sandwich which was well liked. The cherry ice cream was the best I've ever eaten. They have a variety of special sides and appetizers that's worth coming and sampling. They were very customer focused and made our stay fun. read more

Union Corners Tavern shouldn't be called a 'tavern,' because of its upscale food. The house salad's vinaigrette was delicious and pickled onions added a nice tang. I had the G.o.a.t Cheese Grilled Cheese and it was the GOAT! The cheese was flavorful and the fig jam gave it a good sweetness. I had broccolini as a side and it was deliciously al dente. My friend got the scallop-stuffed whitefish - she said it was delicious. The romesco sauce was almost too beautiful to eat! We split a dessert, which was a grasshopper, but definitely not the average supper club shake. It was luscious, tasting more like custard than ordinary ice cream, and the mint flavor tasted fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive. Decor is cute - especially the train for kids. I'd recommend this "tavern" to anyone! read more

Had lunch there with my daughter. We ordered delicious Ragoon Nachos as an appetizer, awesome soup and Shawarma Chicken Wrap. Large portions and such unusual food combinations that were made into delicious entrees. The service was excellent. They soon will be opening the patio and it's dog friendly! I came here based off of some of the other positive reviews and because their menu looked rather appealing. We were not disappointed at all. We tried the street corn, which was delicious or should I say corn ribs? The burger was cooked perfection and the fries were very tasty. My other lunch guests were also equally satisfied with their meal. They may have opened up only recently, but it is absolutely worth a visit and try out their different cocktails, which were also tasty. Our server was friendly and asked for feedback when I had not kept all the jalapeños on my hamburger which were very fresh but too much in the spice department for me to finish. We've had dinner here a couple times in the past month or so and each time the service was quick and unobtrusive, the ambience friendly and the drinks exactly made to order. We've probably tried at least half the menu items (party of 3 and 4) and all of them, without exception, were well thought out and perfectly prepared.
