Came in last April 2022 after moving to Seattle & have been back on a regular basis since my first visit as I enjoyed the boutique selection of cigars including the extremely fair pricing on OpusX's. During my first visit I was warmly greeted by Daniel, who turned out to be the proprietor. Daniel, who had an encyclopedia of knowledge on cigars asked myself a few questions on my preferred flavor profile, favorite cigars, preferred size, etc. to ensure he gave an appropriate recommendation - which turned out to be of the better cigars I've had in awhile. It's always nice to have a shopkeeper who recommends the right product and not the most expensive cigar in the shop, as his recommendation was cheaper rather than what I would have chosen without his assistance. While unfortunately Washington State has an indoor smoking ban outside of tribal land - the staff with Brian and Hector, gave some great recommendations on outside areas where I could smoke including one that's not too far from the shop. Overall if looking for a boutique cigar in Seattle especially if in Downtown/Lake Union, I'd highly recommend popping into the Union Cigar Society. read more

Union Cigar Society - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Note: This is a rewritten and (I think) more relevant version of my original review I posted a while ago. I'm a long time cigar smoker and this is my go-to cigar shop. It's got a great location and a really nice mix of big name brands that any cigar smoker will be familiar with and rarer boutique brands. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and the prices are fair. When I go in I usually ask them which of the cigars they have in stock are their current personal favorites. They have very good taste (or at least taste similar to mine!) and I'm happy with their recommendations the vast majority of the time. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars (I almost never give businesses 5 stars) is because--although they have a very good selection of cigars in terms of quality and variety--it's not a huge selection. It's plenty big enough for most people, myself included, but they don't carry everything. A somewhat trivial thing, but it's still something for which I'd be remiss if I didn't take into account in my rating. One thing that's less than ideal is that they don't display prices on a lot of the cigars, which results in them having to look up the price in their system if you want to know. Not a huge deal, but it would be easier (at least for the customer) if they displayed the prices so you didn't have to ask. read more

First time visiting this shop. Smaller shop, but its nicely appointed and had a good variety of stix there. They had a hard to find Romacraft cigar there I could not find locally elsewhere. Proprietor knows his stuff, was friendly and dropped some knowledge on other blends Romacraft has coming out. Recommend you give them a try. I'll definitely be back. read more

Great cigar options in this little gem of a shop on Lake Union. They carry the best boutique brands of cigars and the humidor is constantly packed with a vast array of sticks. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, the interior of the shop is immaculate, and you can purchase, then puff while catching a view of Lake Union, about 150 feet to the north. Best CIGAR shop in Seattle. This shop is for cigar smokers, and cigar smokers only. They carry better than average to high-end cigars, the sales staff is very knowledgeable, plus they have a proper humidor (which is hard to find). If you are looking for a bong, or glass pipe this is not the place. read more

Enjoyed my first visit as out-of-town traveller. I like the range of sticks in the modest but well-maintained humidor. Wish I could time a visit to connect with one of their special events. BTW, if that was the owner behind the counter-- good job. A nice welcome...and well informed. read more

Great cigar shop. I was in from out of town for a business trip and stop by the shop and the owner was extremely helpful. Sat outside with the owner and enjoyed my fable fourth prime. If you live in Seattle this should be your only cigar shop if you're just passing through town highly recommend stopping by. Five stars read more

Decent selection but not very many flavored cigars. Pricing was really good, and the gentleman was nice.

Recently, i purchased a macanudo for $10, slightly pricey but within acceptable higher price range. the cigar was extremely dry, almost brittle and either this was a bad cigar, or they were not properly humidifying. I have no issue with the price, but i do want to complain that they may not be properly humidifying their cigars. read more

I know almost nothing about cigars but that did not matter: the gentleman there asked me a few questions about my friend's taste and patiently helped me find several suitable options. It is the newest and I think it is the best shop in Seattle. Everyone one who works there are cigar smokers so the can give you there personal impressions of the cigars. There service is wonderful and when running late I have been able to call and they have stayed open so I can get some of the best boutique cigars in the industry. read more

They have a great selection of cigars from budget sticks to boutiques to big brand signature releases, but nothing that's not worth smoking. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely kind. I wanted to give a review of Union Cigar Society. I have been going their for over a year now. This has become my favorite cigar shop. Narong and Daniel are incredibly knowledgeable and love smoking cigars, so their recommendations are always the best. The inventory is awesome and cigars are well kept. I have had maybe one cigar that was a not so good smoke, but that is expected. I really like that they have a variety of uncommon cigars and you can tell they stock what they actually smoke and enjoy. It is a great small business with reasonable prices. Especially for being in Seattle. I wish they carried a little more cigar accessories, but its a small shop and the simplicity is nice. I will continue to support these guys. They really do a good job and its refreshing to still have businesses like this one around. read more

I recently went in to Union Cigar Society because I saw it was somewhat new and I wanted to check it out. They were great with me! I'm not much of a cigar connoisseur so they walked through the shop with me explaining the different types of cigars and which ones would be a little heavier then others.
