Extremely rude staff. Walked in with a fasting patient and they just had one patient who came after us and the lady took her in which was ok, but she refused to get our test done as we did not have an appointment and said she was over booked when in fact there was no one there at that time ! If they don't do walk in they need to completely change the rule to Appointment only. Was disappointed that inspite of no one waiting she was adamant that I have to take an Appointment and come again some other time. The only reason anyone would want to visit is proximity and nothing else. read more

I agree.. this location is under staffed. One person does the desk check ins, the blood draws, etc. But with that said, the person was really nice. Your wait time varies based on how many people are ahead of you. I suggest making an appointment via their website but if you have a fasting test, it might be a better idea to come in as a walk-in when they first open. Update: Please, please please the owner of this lab, hire someone to run the front desk to make this place more efficient. The patient load has picked up here and if you come in before appointment times, because you are fasting, if you aren't the first one in the door, the wait is really long. It isn't the employee's fault either. You have him doing everything and the waiting room is packed. It's torture to have to wait that long for a blood draw when you are fasting. read more

Horrible!!! There were no patients in this office when I arrived. I signed in and waited 10 minutes. No one called me or acknowledged me in any way. Meanwhile, the two workers, one blonde and one a red head were chatting and laughing. I got up and peered into the office. The blonde one said they'd be with me in a minute. They proceeded to chat and laugh for another 10 minutes. The red head finally called me in and, just like the day before when I visited, was extremely rude, biting my head off. She says things over and over to you when you don't understand and talks to you like you're a complete moron. (I am a native speaker of English.). I will NEVER come here again. read more

She definitely got the short end of the deal. To make this story short and not so sweet, the technician seemed to barely speak English...didn't understand the order from our doctor...made 2 attempts to draw blood and caused more pain and bruising than usual in the process. When the lab results arrived, many of the tests requested by the doctor were missing. Adding insult to injury ( literally ), the office was drab, poorly lit and needed a thorough refurbishing. Needless to say, that was the first and extremely last time either my wife or I will visit this particular office of Quest. read more

Unilab is the only lab I use...... Never thought I would be reviewing a place that draws my blood but God Bless Yelp for thinking of everything!..lol This place has a comfortable feel with two of the nicest technicians I have ever come across for this industry. (I had cancer when I was a kid so I know blood techs) They are super professional and kind. Best part is this....the techs actually listen to you if you tell them what vein is the easiest to get too. If you have ever had to get your blood drawn on a regular basis and you come across the tech that won't listen, then you know how valuable this really is. Thanks guys. See you next month! read more

What a TERRIBLE experience - I think they hit a nerve in my arm; I've had pain for the past 2 hours. The two women trying to draw my blood made me nervous and couldn't find my veins for a SIMPLE blood draw. I have my blood drawn at a quest on a monthly basis (probably over 100 times) and have NEVER had this experience. Unbelievable. I tried to call the Quest line when I got home but they wouldn't route me to a live person. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. read more

I've been to this location twice. Both times there was one person working. The wait is an hour or more. It seems to me that since the one person is running back and forth to check people in and get paperwork and to draw blood or whatever there is a high chance for human error. Two people waited an hour and then were told they were at the wrong lab! Ouch. If the person would check everyone in at the beginning at least it would eliminate this error. I've tried to call the headquarters. If you are lucky you can leave a message. Never received a call back though. Go anywhere else! read more

This place is seriously understaffed, as there is one person working both the desk and drawing blood. She was very friendly, but a touch on the unprofessional side, but when it came to the actual drawing of the blood, it went smoothly. I went to the Di Salvo location, near Valley Fair. No line, many workers/doctors. Friendly professional. It may be another 10-15 minute drive, but it is WORTH IT. read more

They really know how to draw blood. I have veins that are very difficult to locate apparently. The techs here always get it on the first try and never go through my hands (which is pretty friggin' painful). I've been here 3 or 4 times and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes (not that that means anything). I should add that, yes, there is only one person running the show and I imagine, if a lot of people come in at once, it could get pretty backed up. For me, any wait would be worth not being poked by 12 different people in the same 3 places with needles and left covered in bruises. loooong wait. I went today to find 4 people waiting in the wait area and the quest lady on the counter was on the phone. I wrote my name and sat in the waiting area. After 10 mins nothing happened and the scene remained the same. As one of the other reviewers said, they had onyl two old magazines and they both were already taken. Then i realized the important thing, the lady on the counter called a person who sat next to me and went inside with him to draw the blood. So, the whole thing is run by this single person. I am not sure this is th case everyday. She is juggling between continuous phone calls, paper works and handling the patients, everything by herself. I asked a old lady, how long she's been waiting and said slightly more than 1 hour and she is the next one to go. I don't know what happened, but the person who went inside didn't come out for another whole 10 mins but the lady came out and tool a call and was on the phone. My guess is he must have been waiting inside for her to finish the call and draw the blood. That's when i decided to leave, i was not ready to sit there for more than an hour just to be called and who knows how long i will be sitting inside. So, i am not sure how the actual service is. The two phlebotomists that were there when I showed up were idiots. I had a lab slip order that clearly stated which labs I needed, including the glucose test where you take the drink and then draw blood after. They were confused by it and tried calling my MD for clarification but the office wasn't open yet. I left and went to the location on Los Gatos Almaden Road. They had no issues there! They knew exactly what to do. Maybe it's an issue of training their employees or just dumb people, I don't know. read more

When here today 3/22/11 around 11:15am. Signed In and notice that there was 8 people in front of me. After waiting for 20 minutes, I notice that the same 8 people are still seating in the waiting room. I overheard one of the patients asking the front desk how much longer will she need to wait. The front desk man told her it will still be another hour. Another HOUR!!!, it does not take that long to draw blood. Should take only a few minutes for each person to draw blood. I asked the elderly lady next to me, how long she has been waiting and she said she has been here since 9:30am. It was already 11:40am. So she was here for over two hours in the waiting room. Unacceptable. I left and went somewhere else and would never return to Quest Diagnostic Labs ever again. read more

Miserable experience, get there sign in on the kiosk, nobody says anything, 15 minutes later try to find out why nobody is helping you, oh you have to fill out a paper check in. Delay stall, no patients but they cant do the 1 minute blood draw, An hour later after everyone has cleared out, you get called in, blood drawn, oh they lost your paperwork. Quest Diagnostics Camden could teach lessons in bureaucratic mismanagement to the DMV. read more

I had no appointment and was waiting for only 15 min. I have a horrible time with blood draws because I have invisible veins, but Steven never even mentioned it. From try #1 - painless and fast. I have to say, I was really hesitant after reading reviews about this place, but since it's literally 3 minutes from my house, I gave it a try. I made an online appointment for 9:30 am on a Monday morning. I arrived at 9:25. There was only one patient waiting, and there were THREE workers there. I was seen at exactly 9:30 by Shemivan. I warned her that I was a fainter, and she was really nice and had me lay down. Normally I have a horrible time with blood draws because I have "difficult" veins, but she found a vein quickly, and I only felt a tiny prick. Afterwards, another worker brought me a cool compress and a cup of water in case I felt faint. I felt great and was in my car by 9:35. So I don't know if I got amazingly lucky, but that was the best blood drawing experience I've ever had. If you have difficult veins, ask when Shemivan is working, she's a miracle worker. read more

I come to this Quest location pretty regularly for blood work. It's clean and has plenty of chairs for the waiting area. My experience with the staff has always been positive, they are fast and friendly. Usually there has been one staff member, todays visit there were two. More important, they are quick and painless for blood draw. I must luck out when I come, since there's rarely a wait. I have been told by the staff that I can make an appointment for priority. I don't bother, but probably would if there were lots of people waiting. read more

As part of a routine physical, I went to Quest for a blood panel ordered by my doctor. My crappy Blue Cross insurance didn't cover lab work, so I was shocked to get a bill for over $400. I went to the Quest website and was further shocked to see the same basic panel being sold to individuals for $134. I sent them a check for $134 and told them that was all I was willing to pay. They completely ignored my dispute letter and just kept billing me. The last invoice said "since you didn't dispute the amount, we will consider the charges valid". WHAT? read more

I've been here a few times because it's near my kids school and the convenience factor was good. When you're seen they are courteous and quick. That being said I was there for 75 minutes today before I walked back out again without being seen. There were 5 people in front of me and while I waited two appointments came in and were seen right away. When I left there were still two of the original people before me. Simple math shows they process one person every 15 minutes. I'd never actually noticed this before as there was never more than one person before me. So my tip is make an appointment before you go, or if you'e a walk in count the number of people in the room, multiply it by 15 mins and add 30 mins for appointments to be safe. If you can wait that long you're good. There's a quest near my workplace in Redwood City that has very quick times and I assume thats because there's more than one staff. read more
