I was in my late 20s when I first started seeing him, and he remained my primary physician for over 30 years. I wish he was with Kaiser so I could still see him. Perhaps I gravitated towards him, because he reminded me (both in looks and demeanor) of my physician father who passed away in 1984. When I was 45, I was diagnosed with chronic blood clots. His knowledge and experience was evident as he prepared me for the many impending lifestyle changes coming my way. Dr McCullough is an excellent physician. Some physicians understand medicine, but know little about other dimensions of life. Dr. McCullough is well rounded, highly intelligent and versed on many topics. I highly recommend him and trust any recommendations and/or referrals he gives as well.

They let me wait for a good 20 min until I inquired about my appointment time. Then they acted like I was a bother when I did ask. Second the Dr. I saw treated me like a drug seeker, saying and I quote "we doctors in CA have killed many people...." not only did that offend me but it definitely didn't inspire any trust in her ability. My second visit, after I got all my medical records sent to their office and did the blood work and X-rays she had me do, was pretty much the same. Rude front desk and the Dr said her job was to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack or had developed cancer and my ailments will probably just go away. There's much more but that's all I need to say.

I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. Something I was so scared of and postponed for 5 years turned into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you to everyone

We recently moved to the area and were excited to establish care with Dr. Hays based on the reviews. I called this location ready to book an appointment and was told we needed to have my son's records. I had a copy in my email but the office said they couldn't accept it via email. As a last resort I asked about uploading to MyChart, since I'm already a patient at another Stanford facility, I was told it couldn't be set up for my son until he had an appointment. A catch-22 enforced by "policy." Assuming this was a policy for all Stanford Children's Health locations, I called another location to ask about dropping off records and starting care there instead. They had no idea what I was talking about, pulled the immunization records directly from the state registry, and booked the appointment. All of it took less time than the back-and-forth with this location. Out of curiosity I called a third location and they offered to set up MyChart for me to upload the docs. For a practice with strong reviews, the intake experience fell way short of what new patients should expect.
