How can I give negative stars? The phlebotomist YELLED AT ME. First, she assumed I did the test wrong, even if I did, there's reason to be rude. Then, she called me right after I left, giving me attitude, telling me I did it wrong, and YELLED AT ME. What kind of customer service is this? Why couldn't she explain it to me calmly? Despite all the bad reviews, I was a walk in and only waited about 10 minutes for me to get called up. The lady that helped me was super friendly and took great care of me and was able to find my vein pretty fast. I didn't have any issues at this location!! it is recommended to make appointments before coming in so keep that in mind. If you do have to wait an extended period of time and they have to take appointment times before walk-ins so keep that in mind before coming in and leaving a bad review. read more

They ran the wrong test, in spite of me iterating it many times when I went for the blood draw. The lady who did the intake was super rude. Not listening at all. Very clumsy, dropped my paperwork and expected me to fish out the ID card from under their table. Most people who come here have Medi-Cal and they get treated like garbage by places like this. DO NOT COME HERE. ESP IF YOU ARE TRYING TO WALKIN. Last time i went to Quest in Cupertino and i had no problem with walk in. Waited about 15mins. But here they asked if i had an appt. I said no, and the staff said "you will have to wait". I waited over 2 hours.. they have downtime but refuses to take walkin. For 20 mins they didnt have any appts. They were just on their computer and waited until another appt walks in. VERY RUDE STAFF. UNPROFESSIONAL. Believe the reviews. It's so difficult to get labs here. I've been here twice. One time as a walk in and they took a walk in who came after me. When asked they said it was a mistake and promised to take me in next. After several mins, I ran out of time and had to leave. Next time, came in with an appointment. However they refused to take me in early as a walk in and kept giving slots to walkins who came late saying my appointment can't be abandoned. I'll find another lab next time. I had a 10am appointment on Friday and checked in at 10:02am. I sit in the waiting area until getting called in at 10:08am. I show the phlebotomist the lab order that was emailed to me from my doctor. They said it needed to be printed out and they needed an NPI number. They advised me to have the doctor's office fax it in (showing them on my phone or emailing the information to them was not acceptable) and since I was late (what?????), there was nothing they could do and I would lose my appointment status. I asked if I could wait to get slotted in after the doctor sent the fax. They said yes but it might be an hour wait time or more. 20m later the doctor confirmed they sent the fax and I wait another 10m until the phlebotomist tells me "we are busy now and my coworker went to lunch so we can't take you at all." I walked over to the Labcorp in the same building and checked in as a walk-in. They were super nice and professional. They were more busy than the Quest but were super efficient with getting folks in and out so were able to take me in within 20 minutes. I told them what happened at Quest and they said when they need information from a doctor, they'll even phone the doctor's office if needed; they'd never just tell you that you lost your appointment status. I will never return to Quest. read more

Be aware they do not accept walk in or tolerate you being late. They won't entertain you no matter what. Extremely unprofessional medical facility with no regards to Customer care not they would entertain any sort of request when you forget the doctors note. Although, they do advertise that they can call the doctor to confirm if you don't bring the doctor's note. Being in the medical business they have no empathy whatsoever for the people who go there to get their tests done. We forgot doctors note and requested them to please entertain us using the softcopy of the doctor's note, they totally denied the request. The test we had to do was time sensitive but they (Cindy, Shemiran) were totally unmoved by the request. This review is dedicated to the woman at the front with curly brown hair and glasses as well as the women in the back with the blond hair in pigtails. I have never have such amazing customer service getting blood drawn. My appointment was at 1 and they took me in right away. I notified the lady that I tend to faint when getting blood drawn. She let me lay down while getting blood drawn and made sure there were only women in the room since I was in an area that could be seen by the other patient. Both of the women talked to me the whole time, joking around and distracting me. After I was done they let me lay down till I felt better. This was the first time I've gotten blood drawn in years without fainting. I did not get either of the women's names but they were absolutely amazing. read more

The signs and everything here says that they accept walk-ins, but staff is very rude and are like if you don't have appointment we cannot take you. We said we can wait and we waited almost an hour, they took people who were 20 min early for their appointment but didn't take us. I had a similar experience in another quest location as well. Whenever I have a lab test I come to this location of Quest, but since the previous phlebotomist (Shemiran) had left I hadn't tried it. So I went with appointment and was called right at my time ,but the process of drawing blood tortured me.I have bulged and visible veins especially on my left hand, so she found the vein easily. In the middle of drawing blood she said oh there is no more blood coming, which I guess she has changed the direction of the needle ,because the blood was coming so fast and so much and suddenly stopped,she said probably you haven't drink enough water and I told her yes I am fasting and I usually don't drink lots of water before blood draw.She said let's try right hand. My right hand veins aren't as bulky and visible as left and I told her ,but she said let's try it. She couldn't find the vein and I just tolerated so much pain, I told her I wanna leave and come another day and drink more water ,she said let's ask my colleague to try. I went to another room and a middle aged lady came and again punctured the same vein on left and couldn't get any blood, then she tried a very tiny vein beside that large vein and I was all the time suffering and she collected some more blood and said oh it stopped and I need more blood, I told her let me leave and come back later and I will drink more water she said No,we are swamped today and it isn't possible.Finally she punctured the vein on my hand and got some blood. These people are really brutal, I was punctured 5 times and I was having so much pain, even when I offered them to leave and be back in couple hours or another day they didn't accept. I hope there is a manager or a supervisor that can read my review and can do something to prevent these happening in future. Not recommended and Avoid this place. read more

She was making zero sense and I could not understand a word coming out of her mouth. She also bruised both arms because she couldn't figure out how to get a vein on an easy stick. I have never ever had a problem anywhere else, but these people are so ridiculous. I made an appointment and it took two weeks to get in here. For what? They are the worst ever. Stanford is so much better for blood draws and they treat you with RESPECT. They need to fire everyone in here and start over. read more

I had a very bad experience and will probably never go to Quest in future. I did not have an appointment, so I went in at 6.15 AM to Quest diagnostic lab in Samaritan Drive San Jose. and was first in queue for walk ins ( clinic opened at 6.30 AM) , though there are multiple times when no one ( with appointments) was present . I was not still called until 7.30 AM, so I left and walked over next door to Labcorp where there were many walkins before me, yet I was able to walk out by 8 AM with my blood work completed. Guess what out of curiosity I went back to check , my name was still not called and showing up. I don't have the background as to why Quest was so slow ( may be they were short staffed or feeling themselves to be "entitled') , but I am sold to Labcorp for rest if my life. read more

I waited for over an hour for a blood test. Honestly, one thing I never understand is why we have to wait so long. It really takes no more than 5 minutes to get my blood drawn. The seat usually wouldn't even be warmed yet by the time I'm out the door. Yet, the wait time is atrocious. The receptionist is nice. I'll give you that much. But that wait time... I went in on a Wednesday morning without an appointment. I thought, "It's the middle of the week and early in the morning. It'll be quick." When I got there, there were perhaps 3 people ahead of me and 1-2 more people who came in with appointments. Went in this morning on standby for my 7 year old daughter, waited 45 minutes and waited for there not to be anyone in front of us, literally room was empty. Rude, passive aggressive attitude, the worst possible treatment of patients who, let's face it, often come with their health worried and concerns. Messed up an order for a full blood panel, only did the thyroid test, on THREE vials of blood. When I came back with my order printed and pointed out that I will need a FULL blood picture, as shown, because the last time they messed up, the nurse rudely dismissed me. "We can't mess up." Right... All they care about at this location is taking your credit card, and your money. I would avoid at all costs if I could. I'm used to someone having a difficult time getting my blood drawn and I do mention it to the phlebotomist. However, I never end up with a bruise! Started showing a few hours after and the next day it got worse. The phlebotomist poked me twice but I've never got a bruise like this before. Not going back to this location anymore. read more

Terrible service, inefficient and rude staff. They just would not honor any walk-ins although they say they would. My MIL waited 2 hour in the morning fasting and she was just never called. There were times when no appointment patients were there for 15-25 minutes and the two staff ladies went on to gossip about another coworker. Such a negative experience! If they only removed the sign saying no walkins will be entertained and just tell us when we go there that they don't take walkins we would've left right away. But they made a 75yr old diabetic lady wait for 2 hours and just kept saying we don't know when we can call you because there are appointment patients coming in. Go to Labcorp in the next building. geez, i wish i read the reviews before waking up early and coming here right before opening (7am) because everyone is correct, the phlebotomists here are so freaking rude. i came in, checked in as a "standby"/walk in. i've been doing walk-ins for the past 3 years, so i know the drill. "walk ins only gets to go in if someone has a cancellation or if they have time they'll squeeze you in. waits can take as long as 1-2 hours". after checking in (7:02am), i sat down and on the screen there was one person who had an appointment at 7:10. by 7:08, one of the older women phlebotomists came out for the person with the appointment and saw me and ask if i have an appointment, i said no i don't, i'm a walk-in and she immediately said "uh we don't take walk ins we take appointments first. you can wait" i said "yea i know, i waited an hour before, i'm fine with it" and she really said "sure.. you must have time" i was taken off guard wit they rude snarky comment that as soon as i was about to respond back, she walked away. i waited anyways. around 7:14 another person with an appointment came in. she needed help at the kiosk so i helped her out. at 7:16 another older lady phlebotomists came out to call the person with an appointment in and seen me and asked if i have an appointment i said no i don't, i'm a walk in and she also rudely says "then you going to have to wait" i said "yes i know" she was like "it'll take 2 hours" and i said sure. it seem like she was annoyed that i'm even willing to wait. when she asked the person i helped if they have an appointment she said yes at 7:20, the phlebotomists said "ok i'll take you in" the person with the appointment was so nice and said "it's not my time yet, can you take this young lady in" the phlebotomists then flipped out and said "no! we don't do that, doesn't matter how much time we have, we do not do that. you can not pick and choose who can go in" and the person was like "well i'm still early that's why i asked if she can go first" the phlebotomists continues to raise her voice while walking to back "i already said no are you coming back here or not, i will wait for the next appointment". like damn, i get it's early... but don't gotta be so rude to people. time goes by, nobody comes in with an appointment and it's like they KNOW so all the sudden they start doing other things like one of the ladies started shredding paper, cleaning her table, walking around changing out trash. INSTEAD of calling me in, the ONLY walk in. at this point is 7:50-- still no appointments, they're still finding things to do to avoid calling me in. and im getting pissed that they're doing all this. it's literally like they're testing me to see if i'll leave. this is so ridiculous. AVOID this location!! the grumpy rude old ladies need to retire or get their attitudes checked. definitely will be contacting corporate about this so they would stop doing this to other walk ins. read more

I am feeling myself like in 19th century, seems people see the computer for the first time. They need to hire younger personnel, who are able to work faster and feel comfortable with the computer, we live in 21st century and it is a must to provide services. read more

I was seen by tech at exactly my scheduled time and I was very pleased, but my happiness was short lived. The tech was unable to draw blood, my guess was she was inexperienced. I had to ask her to wipe down armrests where last patient sat for blood draw. I mentioned to her that the holder to place driver license and insurance card,when checking in was filthy and also needed to be wiped down. Our county requires masks in medical facilities and I was glad to see everyone in office, employees and patients all had masks on. Since first tech couldn't draw blood she sent me to the other tech in the office and of course Again I had to ask for armrests be wiped down. This tech drew my blood without any issue. It needs to be said since Covid medical and dental facilities should be kept pristine and employees should have protocol to follow in disinfecting surfaces patients touch between when one patient leaves and next patient is seated in chair to draw blood. This should be done before new patient sits in chair. The second tech looked at me as though I were a nuisance and said we haven't wiped down chairs since pandemic ended...what? This should be standard operating procedure. So my dissatisfaction is routine cleanliness doesn't seem to be a priority in this facility. read more

Hey there I just left this quest diagnostics on Camden Avenue and Almaden expressway. I took my daughter this morning and she was very very scared she's a minor and was crying and shaking the entire way there. When we got there they were pretty busy but the front desk lady was so kind and helpful to a couple elderly people helping them check him and she was so efficient and a woman in the back I will that was taking blood also came up to help her it was really a nice teamwork. I read those other reviews and I can't believe what a joke. Who are those people? Everything they saidWas it totally off I think they're talking about a different place I've been here four times and never ever heard a radio or like child Ness. These women are professional women in there you know younger ears and my daughter was so scared the technician made her feel not scared she was so wonderful with my daughter and I appreciate this place as I've been here so many times they did my daughter right just like they do me I give it five stars read more

I typically am a patient, laid-back person and okay with things that are a little quirky or off but my experience yesterday was so 'off' that I thought I needed to say something on here. First of all, there was a loud tv in the waiting area - that's fine, I guess - entertain people while they are waiting. But then in the back room (to which the door was propped open), there was a loud radio also on (competing with the sound of the t.v.), playing a morning d.j. show. I was not only surprised how loudly they had it playing, but was also surprised that the things the d.j.s were talking about were offensive and the d.j.s were swearing. I found that strange to have that playing in a medical office where patients are coming and going. Next thing - when I went to sit on the table to have my blood pressure done, the disposable paper strip that they typically unroll a clean piece for new patients from the last patient was still sitting there (it wasn't a quick change either because I was there for a few minutes and never saw another patient). The technician ripped the used piece off as I was standing there and threw it in the garbage but then placed the roll under the table and had me sit directly on the table without unrolling more paper for me to sit on. Last thing...as the technician in the exam room was taking my blood pressure and weighing me, she was yelling out the readings (over the radio and the t.v. noise) to the lady at the front desk (who was in the other room) to record them. Again, I'm not easily offended, but I just thought this was weird. Typically people want those numbers kept private and the technician wasn't aware of whether or not there were people in the waiting room hearing all my personal information yelled across two rooms. Anyway, my experience was just strange there. If I could choose, next time I would definitely go somewhere else. read more

Was exposed to COVID from my pt. Took the test on December 30. Today is January 5. My snot is just sitting there in the envelope, waiting to be tested. Meanwhile, I've had to quarantine since then. Called dr. office repeatedly, and finally bypassed them and called the test center who followed up and said the there is a back-up at Quest. Bravo, Quest. You've really dropped the ball, because my husband had a test go through a different lab, and he got his result in under 48 hours. read more

I've been going with a friend to this Quest office for about a year, maybe about 6 visits. They have been consistently rude and condescending, but we tried to overlook it. When we went for the last visit the woman apparently in charge was so extremely obnoxious that we won't be going back.
