I read previous reviews and knew what to expect. I didn't have an appointment so I arrived before 7:00 AM and parked behind the building. There were four people ahead of me. The doors opened right at 7:00 and the receptionist told us to log in on the monitors. When I was called up, I had all my paperwork and insurance card ready, greeted her with a friendly manner and was treated nicely in return. I was the fifth one waiting in the hallway and could hear the phlebotomist being pretty blunt with the four people ahead of me. When it was my turn, I was ready with my sleeves rolled up, greeted the phlebotomist and made small talk as she decided which vein to poke. She was friendly and efficient and I was out of there in less than 20 minutes. Bottom line, be ready and friendly and this place is okay. read more

Eh I think my time here was decent. I scheduled an appointment at 1pm and I was literally called at 1pm, but I arrived 30 minutes early to my appointment since I'm always an early person. The lady seemed a bit jumbled because she would be like do this, okay wait I need to do this, okay come here, etc. The flow of the process wasn't there but it wasn't bad. I was only in here for a urine sample. They only use 2 bathroom for the drug screen urine sample so be prepared to wait if you don't have an appointment. There were plenty of people there before me but they were not seened before me; I guess they might not have not had an appointment. Be prepared to wait when you come here. My Mom's Doctor requested we take her in to have her blood drawn and faxed work order ahead to their office, therefore, we could/did not make an appointment beforehand and walked-in instead. About forty-five minutes have elapsed since signing her name on the clipboard and waiting to be called only for insurance information and to be told to sit back down to be called once again. There is only one person working at the front desk entering billing and taking in walk-ins and appointments altogether and a dozen of people in the waiting room. This is not the only time we had to wait for over an hour to be seen. Sadly, this is the only location near our home. But, I'm beginning to think driving to another city for the next work order wouldn't be a bad idea. The majority of the people who come here probably already have serious health problems to deal with and should not have to deal with poor service and inconsiderate staff. I have been going here for year now. They have changed some things and there was a new lady at the front. She was very very rude to me. She couldn't find my name and accused me of giving her a wrong name. She made me sit there for 1/2 hour just to give me a test packet when I wasn't feeling well. And there were no people in line. Let me start with a warning: signing up and scheduling through the website does not ensure an appointment will be honored. PLEASE, do yourself a favor and SCHEDULE AN APPT OVER THE PHONE OR ON THE WEBSITE. THEN, CALL THE LAB TO CONFIRM THEY HAVE RECEIVED BEFORE MAKING YOUR WAY OVER. Unless, of course, you're feeling lucky. Now, my experience: Accepted a new job offer and was super stoked to start, but have to say, the experience with Quest labs (and especially this location) has taken a bit of joy out of the celebration. Went online and made an appointment for a drug screen (as required) at a lab near my zip code. Arrived at the specified time and was told they do perform drug screens, but not the type requested by my new employer. I was then given a list of labs and asked to travel to a nearby town for the test. At 2 in the afternoon and a five hour window, could not make the other lab. Arranged for an appointment the next day during specified hours and arrived a bit early, only to find out the hours listed were incorrect; drug screens were performed from 12-3, no longer 10-3. Asked for an appointment at 12-12:30 and was told they could not accommodate, no appointments available until 2pm at the earliest. Policy is that you must call number on card to schedule or classify as a walk-in. With The only appointments 4-6 hours out, I waited. Two hours later I watched as a man walked in at 12Noon, claimed his employer arranged an appointment, though it did not show up, and the same woman who shared the strict policy with me quietly told him she understood and would arrange an appointment for 12Noon, since there were no appointments scheduled until 2pm. This man then walked out ten minutes later. SCORE!!! All in all - Website was poor with glitches, customer service horrid at both locations and just a huge cluster @&$)!! The staff could not look any of us in the eye, there were no kind words or smiles and a lot of confusion on many levels. I will not ever be returning to this site and would recommend a lab a little farther, even if it's a time sensitive appointment like mine. It would be worth a whole tank of gas and then some, promise ;) read more

Its an ok place to go depending on who you get they can be nice or they can be rude and they rush things to get you out quickly On one of my visits they didn't do all the labs I needed and my lab results were incomplete when I went back to get blood test done again the lady at the front desk was rude and said she didn't receive anything from my doctor because they did those labs already I explained to her what happened and she kept saying nope I had my doctor call them to tell them they were incomplete and they had to do the ones they missed another lady logged in to the computer and was able to find the lab forms read more

I've been coming to this lab for blood work for many years. Never have I experienced anything but friendly staff and super quick and efficient appointments. Key word there is appointments. ALWAYS make an appointment. You can do it online or over the phone. The wait for walk in's can get ridiculous. I walked in once and waited nearly an hour. Never again I decided. The wait with an appointment has always been 10 minutes tops. Another thing. If you can, come at odd hours. Early morning and lunch hour are the busiest. I usually make my appointments around 1 or 2. The amount of people waiting is far fewer. The lab technicians have always been friendly and cordial with me. I'm a bit scared of needles and I let them know this ahead of time. They talk me through the process which puts me at ease. At other labs I've gone to, they've just stuck a needle in my arm without warning. The whole process probably takes 2 minutes and I'm all done! The lab itself can be a bit difficult to find because it is located in the back of a building. The First Northern Bank is facing the street and you just drive around to the back and there is a door. If you don't know exactly which door, just park and look for it by foot. Easier than straining your eyes from the car while trying to find a door with a small Quest Diagnostics decal on it. In my opinion if you end up waiting here for ages and you didn't make an appointment, it's kinda your fault so don't complain. Make an appointment and don't be rude to the staff and you should have a decent experience at this lab. read more

Location is somewhat difficult to find. I spent a good 10 minutes driving around the area and yelling at my GPS. So as an FYI it's in the building across the street from the FedEx (look for the ReMax Gold), but in the back- not facing the street. Employees are pleasant. I made an appointment and came early. I'm so happy Quest Labs is so close to my house. I always make my appointments online. Its so easy to do and takes less than two minutes to accomplish. It sure beats waiting for over an half hour to be seen and then poked any day!! When you walk in, yikes! It's always crowded. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is. The walls are lined with patients. The staff seems to be pleasant even though they are constantly badgered by patients who have been waiting for ever to be seen. It's nice for me to just walk in and tell them I have an appointment and then to be seen right away. The phlebotomist staff is pretty cool and competent as well. Checked in. Had to read signs to know what was going on. You have to check in onto a computer screen putting in your info. Name, date of birth and what you were there for. Two staff there no one acknowledged me so I had to look around to figure out this place. First time at a quest diagnostics. At least acknowledge and tell people to sign into the computer screen so I am not looking around and reading all 6 signs. Place is bigger than most Lab Corps that I am use to going to. This is my first time to this quest and unfortunately it's the worst quest I've been to. I was called in very quickly, maybe that should've been my first clue, and brought into a very narrow small room. I asked the phlebotomist where I could put my things she said in my lap. Now if you've ever been to get your blood taken at a quest they seat you in a very large chair with an arm rest that goes in front of you, I had a drink. Luckily it was in a container that I was able to close however balancing everything on my lap was not the best experience. Then the phlebotomist took my blood. Ouch it really stung!!! I haven't had a blood test sting like that in I don't know how long. I actually was carrying on a conversation with the phlebotomist and she told me that she had been a phlebotomist since 2005 so I had high hopes that this was not going to hurt. Made an appointment so you wouldn't have to wait all morning? DON'T WORRY! You will still wait half an hour before being seen! Expecting any kind of respect, personable interaction, or decent customer service? DON'T WORRY! You WON'T find any of that here! I've only interacted with one employee at this lab who was any level of pleasant. The front desk people are always curt past the point of efficiency to just being rude. The phlebotomists aren't much better, in terms of behavior. I'm on the edge of finding the next closest Quest lab, as the convenience factor is very quickly becoming over-shadowed by how awful going to this lab can be. read more

The lab itself is fine, and I've never had trouble with staff. You can walk in but it's definitely worth the effort to make an appointment to save time. The phone line however is terrible. There doesn't seem to be a way to talk directly to a human being; an automated message system throws you into an exasperating loop and then hangs up on you. There doesn't seem to be a way to just talk to someone working there for a quick question. Patients have a variety of special needs and circumstances, and Quest's "one message system fits all" approach doesn't work. I can only imagine how someone who was truly ill might feel if they had to go through what I just put up with. Just give us an option to talk to a person over the phone, please. read more

You have to walk all the way around the building passed 2 doors that tell you to keep going until you see the other front door lols... I walked into the small building. Very nice... Walked up to the line where it had 5 different signs. The lady who was at the front asked me what I needed I said walk in she said then use the touch screen to sign in. I said ok... my wait time was 5-6 minutes long... others who have been there for other reasons already complained about them not being called.. but I sat there patiently. I did a drug-background... it was my first time... went in and out 15 minutes or less... I guess the downfall about other people is their appointment & waiting. I want to thank you for traumatizing my six-year-old son with autism. He was being rushed to get the blood work, he was scared and I did not get the time to attempt to calm him down. After giving him 15 mins to relax because the first attempt failed we went to the room, he was freaking out. Then was told if this time doesn't work that we need to go because we didn't have an appointment! Nope I did thank you very much. And this is my very first being in this place, I have no idea what to do, so I wait very patiently for someone to approach me at the front desk, and a white women with short blond hair says sign in and take a seat. Umm. So I sign..In on the Clip board. And sit down, mind you i have a paper that tells me I need to get lab work done. So I notice a short African American girl with short hair and I walk up to the desk wanting to ask a question about this paper, and she asked me, are you signed in? And I said yes I am..she didn't even look up to see my face...nor say good afternoon. Her name..monika. she told me to take a seat and we will call you up. Wtf. I have no idea what is going on, I had a question and she didn't even look at me. I Incredibly sick. And I want to know the steps I need to take...to get better and she didn't have any courtesy towards me. She called my name and told me to write my address down in the box. And then took my insurance card..and that was it. Take a seat. Like...I keep getting told to sit down. I would like to know what is going to happen. Went here yesterday. The guy at the counter was SO rude!! I don't remember his name, chase or chance? Any who, I am a surrogate and my labs are paid out of pocket. I've been coming here for several years and my labs have always been drawn and I am sent a bill, which I pay once I receive it. It has never been an issue. The guy at the front asked for my insurance card, I told him that the labs are not ran on my insurance and to send me a bill. He told me they don't bill patients and it has to be paid in full today. I told him I have always received bills and then paid them. He said "we haven't done bills in 6 years" that's hilarious because I was just here last year doing labs and receiving bills! He kept asking me "who billed you?" Like i was lying! I said "quest diagnostics billed me" he said "but WHO billed you? Like who?" I am so confused by his actions! When I told him I will have someone call and pay over the phone, he said "I'm not sure how she's going to do that" I said "do you not take payments over the phone?" He said "no, we need to actually see A card" Which is fine if they don't take payments over the phone but geez, why don't you just say that instead of being an asshole and acting stupid about it! I walked in without an appointment at 8:30 on a Friday to find the waiting room completely packed. I signed in and took the last seat available. At 10, I still had not been called up to EVEN REGISTER! My observations were that those people who had made a reservation were served, but those of us on the "walk in" list were not a priority. Few, if any, of the walk ins who were there ahead of me were called up. I left to drive to Quest in Vacaville where I got my blood drawn in 45 minutes (the waiting room was full as well when I arrived). Never go to Fairfield Quest. read more

Couldn't get blood work done til later in the day, so I had to fast 16 hours, and when I got there things were slow as a snail. Every time anyone asked how long the wait was, all they said was "just a couple minutes." I waited in the waiting room for almost 2 hours. After seeing only one person going back every 15 or 20 minutes, I finally stood up and left. Later I realized I possibly dropped something out of my pocket and I have absolutely no way to reach anyone via telephone at this office. The number they have to call is 100% automated. My husband and just left this location, because receptionist, told us that we didn't have any lab request from our doctor. I called my doctors office and I was told that the requests is there! Well, I called Quest Diagnostic, and to find out through their "recorded message " "if we do not have a request, we will call your doctors office and get it for you, we will service you!" If I could give them zero stars I would! Made an appt and still had to wait an hour! They dont even go by appointments. They have two clip board to sign in. One is for appointments only n the other one is for walk in.. They go by the time u sign in only so theres really no point in making an appt. There was one guy at the front desk n two other ladies in the back just yapping away and not calling anyone to the back... Once they call u, u still have to wait another 15-20 minutes in the little hallway while the phlebotomists is yapping away with each other.
