I contacted them for an estimate to update and redo their shoddy work. I met with them for over an hour and discussed in detail what I was looking for. Avoid using them, unless you want poor workmanship and unfinished projects.

Dylan came out and put together an estimate that we felt was reasonable. We responded with questions on the work and then planned to sign the contract. Called several times and never received a response. Someone did answer the phone once and told me how busy they were. Two months passed and never received a call back or response to the email on the estimate sent to me. If they are too busy to respond to questions on a quote, question if they could find the time to do the work. Disappointed because had heard great things about Jack Abell Inc. Dylan was very knowledgeable and seemed like we would receive quality work.

Not only did they do a wonderful job removing main bearing walls and installing new doorways to open and brighten the house, but they also corrected and perfected several issues left behind by a previous contractor. From the initial proposal to the finished work, every single aspect of the project has been first class. Price, workmanship, clean-up, and communication were all exceptional -- especially important since I'm not always on-site. They exceeded my expectations in every way. Big thanks to Kermath and his team for inspecting & correcting the electrical issues that were previously left and overlooked. I highly recommend Chris Helms & Pintail Builders to anyone considering updates, renovations, or a full build. I will definitely have them back for future projects! I spoke with Mr. Ian Nembhard about replacing the floor in my kitchen. Communication was very poor--Luis, the person handling appointments, rarely returned calls, and we had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic updates. They even canceled on the same day they were supposed to come, which caused delays and a lot of inconvenience. Because of this, we decided to cancel the project altogether. During an earlier visit, their technician Ben tightened two outlet screws and replaced a GFCI outlet using our own materials. Before he did the work, I specifically asked about the cost and was told it would be free. After we canceled the project, we were unexpectedly charged $350 for that small task--without any approval from us. When I called to question the charge, Luis laughed and said "this is how it goes," which was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Overall, very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and unexpected charges without consent. I would not recommend this company.
