I contacted them for an estimate to update and redo their shoddy work. I met with them for over an hour and discussed in detail what I was looking for. When I got the estimate, they hadn't listened to any of the details I discussed, and submitted a ridiculously overpriced estimate to fix their bad work. I've heard that this company takes short cuts in the building of their homes. I'm not the original…read moreowner of this Malone built house but the house is only three years old. Within three years all the tile floors in the home have tiles that are cracking and the grout is coming loose. I talked with a floor installer I know who said that the floor should not do that and the cause is usually improper installation. I talked with Mr. Malone about the cracking tiles and grout and he said it was caused by the homeowner using too much water to clean the floors and was not his problem. And the laminate wood floor looks like an amateur installer was contracted to do the floor. The heat pump installed in this house is a Payne brand which is one of the least expensive units on the market and required several service calls so far which required parts to be replaced and a continuing search for a refrigerant leak, $$$. Matt was always quick to respond to my many questions (and changes!) and made the whole process so much less stressful. Brian, our foreman, was truly amazing. Since we live three hours away, we had to put a lot of trust in him--and he completely delivered. He sent us updates and photos every night and kept in constant communication with us. He was patient when we needed time to make decisions and always gave helpful, honest advice when we needed it. He's incredibly knowledgable about every aspect of home renovation and we felt like he was always keeping our best interests at heart throughout the renovation. He really went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. At our final walkthrough, he had already caught and planned to address things we hadn't even noticed.
