Thank God for Mr. Hook! Our car went over some metal on 287 S in Bridgewater and we ended up with…read moretwo blowouts. We called AAA. First they said they would be there in 30 minutes. Then they said they would be delayed until 7:00 PM. We initially called them at 3:00 PM. At 5:00 a tow truck driver was driving by and stopped us and asked us if we needed help. He towed us to our local service station in Morristown so we could drop the car off and then drove us home. Thank you again! Great service with a wonderful tow truck driver!

After assessing the difficulty of the tow (a vehicle without keys, parked on a residential street in-between two other parked cars) they quoted a totally fair and reasonable price. Since, without keys, the vehicle couldn't be moved out of its parking spot in a traditional way, they actually found a neighbor to move their car so the tow truck could get behind our vehicle. This is an incredibly thorough and smart level of service. Once the vehicle was dropped off at its destination, Mr. Hook Towing sent photos to show exactly where it was parked. Then, ini minutes, I was able to pay over the phone and got an emailed receipt. Being that I was out of town when all this happened, you can imagine what a relief it was to receive such thoughtful, professional, and quality service. I'm so glad I called Mr. Hook Towing! They look a challenging situation and made it easy and stress-free. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Our staff are well equipped with knowledge and courtesy. We work with you to get you where you need to go safely and secure! We pay your credit card fees (up to $100.00) we want to work with our clientele to maximize savings. Preferred method of communication is TEXT and Phone Secondary. Leave a voicemail with your information and we will get back to you usually within 8 hours maximum (11pm to 7am) and within 5 hours maximum (8am to 8pm) due to limited staff constrictions. We are partnered with AAA, currently, and our general manager has worked with them for 20 years total in multiple territories and aspects. We are aware of all current policies and knowledgeable on AAA memberships and encourage them completely. We do light service mechanical work (within reason) NO MECHANICS but we can recommend appropriate services upon request (charges are individual per customer and situation) We are very savvy. The man who towed my car was lovely…read more The woman who I interacted with multiple times since Thursday is one of the most rude, unprofessional people I have ever spoken to. She originally quoted me $345 after my car was towed on Thursday night. She then stated I could not drive my car off the lot and that it would be an additional $200 for them to tow it. They also gave me a contract to sign stating the storage fee was $50 per day. When I pointed out that that goes against the maximum rates they have posted, the staff person told me that was a "good catch" by me and he would fix it. I shared this with the woman who told me that it was obviously a mistake and I should get over that. When I called today after repeated negative interactions trying to find a way to get my car out of their lot, she yelled at me because I questioned their pricing scheme and asked for a price breakdown based on the Stafford Township, Ocean County, and NJAC ordinances. They have both Stafford Township and Ocean County posted in their office. She screamed that I was the one being difficult and I didn't understand how the ordinances work. She said NJ Administrative Codes do not apply to them. Then told me I could not pay over the phone, so I would have to commute two hours to allow my car to be removed. When I got there, she yelled at me again, called me difficult, and told the other worker that I wasn't understanding the ordinances that they have posted. When I pointed out the differences in the legally admissible charges and what she had quoted me since Thursday, she said that I didn't understand what she was saying. She refused to give an itemized invoice twice. She also quoted the person next to me $850 for their tow and winching without providing any invoice. I'm not sure if it is just the people who were working or if it is a pattern for the company to not provide itemized invoices to customers and scream at those who ask for a pricing breakdown, but the experience I just had was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I would also like to stress that I did not request the tow, the Stafford Township PD did, and this is how this woman acted. I work a customer service job. I understand that customers can be wrong. What I don't understand is how they took the opportunity of a car being totaled to repeatedly attempt to overcharge a customer, scream at them multiple times, and accuse them of being difficult for asking for a price description and how that pricing scheme fits into mandatory maximums as required by law. I highly recommend going to Midnite Towing. A complaint has been filed with New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
