GASSS burrito. And the most delicious coffee. Would recommend. I really enjoyed sitting outside here.

I've been coming to undergrind since I discovered them during the pandemic. Love supporting a local black-owned business! Lattes are so yummy and their food menu really sets them apart from other coffee shops! Staff is always friendly.

So so good! I have had several things here and they are all so bomb. Service is kind and I asked for a recc and he gave me his opinion, which I appreciated. I ordered the breakfast burrito before for takeout and that was so good. Today my friend and I ate inside. There are a few tables, good music and we had a nice meal. I got the GOAT avocado toast topped with a fried egg, arugula, honey goat cheese, so creamy and yummy. My friend got the Bollywood burrito that is a curry explanation of flavor and deliciousness. She also got the purple rain drink with lavender and that was a lovely sweet treat. I also want to try the tuna sandwich on a brown bread and the beet salad.

The service is always on point in the very cute spot that always gets packed. If you like really strong coffee, this is your place to be. Definitely a neighborhood spot with enough seating inside and outside. It is not super spacious inside but more of a homely feel with some lower seat downs, bar stools and high top areas. Outside could use more seating tbh. The veggie burrito was so huge it was hard to finish. Most items are good sized portion. It had enough dressing in it as well as much veggie including mushroom. Yay!!! The FunGuy fungus. Owners are so nice to talk to and very personable. It has an Asian flavor to some of the items like the banh mi sandwich. This is def a good find Undergrind!

    Bagel and lox

What a hidden gem! In an area that is not very trendy or known for anything in particular, sits this great coffee and breakfast joint. The food is fabulous, the coffee is rich and creamy, and the prices are more than fair. We had the Greek scramble that was loaded with feta, olives, spinach, and other veggies, and the lox bagel. My dining partner gets lox and bagels all the time and said it was the best he's ever had. The lox was super fresh and high-quality. There is a small seating area inside and a few tables outside on the sidewalk. It's super casual with metal barstools and a mishmash of tables and counters. It would be good for takeout as well.

I'm not a first timer for Undergrind and you can tell what it means when you keep coming to a coffee shop. Yep, I love their coffee and the fact that they provide multiple fun options of sweetened latte. Some of them are more adventurous featuring peanut butter, but my faves are surely their Salted Caramel and Vanilla ones. Kind reminder, their cup sizes are relatively big compared to typical coffee shops; hence I mostly go for their small. Unlike the cup size, the venue is quite small. Nonetheless, that actually doesn't really trouble me as much as the fact that sitting for awhile inside always leaves me with food/kitchen scent (IYKYK). Don't get me wrong, they do serve luscious breakfast and brunch menus, so if the scents don't bother you, ALL GOOD! This place is constantly busy throughout the day, but it's pretty outstanding that they always manage to get the orders ready speedy enough even including the foods.

    Break of Day Burrito

Great spot for a hearty breakfast burrito! The Break of Day Burrito was a decent size for the price. Could've had a little more flavor so glad it came with a side of salsa!

Veggie & Grits (+Turkey bacon & scrambled egg). The creole wine butter & garlic made this dish!

Read my previous review for food items. I just wanted to show how I got my cherry bomb blended drink and it was sooo good!! Cherry bomb with oat milk, extra cherry pumps "not blended" with chocolate sauce at the bottom. This is my new high!!!! That's all!

Update since my last visit! My Latte was delicious and my burrito was excellent in flavor texture and let me say PORTION! This burrito was hefty. My wife got a coffee cake, that was good and her drink was a peanut butter cup latte and that was also real good! The food was so good today we're moving up from a 4 to a 5 star from my previous review. Shout out to the Raza chefs in the back! Also the service here is always great! Thank you :)

I'm just going to go ahead and say it, this might be the best breakfast burrito in LA. I had the "Break of Day" with bacon and it was everything I wanted. Leveled ratios of bacon, hash-browns and the right amount of cheddar. I'm in bliss. Not to mention the cute Halloween decorations and delicious chai latte. Oh and service, so kind and helpful. 5/5!

Here's an update from my previous review. We had lunch here on Sunday and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and provided outstanding customer service. We ordered the Benaddiction (highly recommended) and Mike's Bagel (super tasty).

This place is a local spot and was so good. We came early on a Saturday and got some coffee and got their breakfast burrito which was sooo good. It was fresh and the perfect portion. The drinks were also good and pretty strong I'd say. For the cherry bomb latte, if you like cherry flavored things you'll really like it but it can get overwhelming after a while for sure. The service was great, everyone was so friendly. It's a casual spot but can get super busy at peak hours.

Matcha with strawberry foam... all done :)

First timer! Great customer service, delicious breakfast burritos and yummy matcha drinks. Highly recommend this place.

    Soothing!

I stopped by on a weekday and walked right into Hokey Pokey, ordered my ice cream, browsed through some records, and soaked in the beautiful day outside. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can people-watch while enjoying your treat, which I love. The ice cream was incredibly smooth and perfectly sweet without being overpowering. Service was fast and friendly--no complaints at all. I can definitely see myself coming back for the good music vibes, great people-watching, and another sweet treat. I had the California Orange cone. It was dreamy orange soft serve with candied orange pieces. Ah, those were so good. It also comes with dark chocolate pieces, but I asked to have it made without. The cone tasted a bit blah, so that was the only part of the treat I didn't care for. The service here was spectacular. I think it may have been the owner, but he gave me the whole walk-through of the brand and the flavors. He gave me a sample of the most popular Hokey Pokey. It was too sweet for me, so that's when I went with the California Orange. Throughout my visit as I was eating my cone, the mood was kept up with some cool Rolling Stones tunes being played on the record player. Then the record can to the end, he turned it over. A very lovely experience! Overall, I would definitely come here to try other flavors and take in the cool ambiance.

Vibe: Super cute and aesthetic--very on-brand and Instagram-worthy. It's not a huge space, but there are a few tables if you want to sit and relax for a bit. Drinks: I tried the cold brew and it was definitely on the stronger side, which I personally liked. They also have different flavor options, so you can mix it up depending on your mood. Price range: Expect about $5-$8 per drink, which is pretty typical for specialty coffee in this area. ‍ Location & parking: Located inside Westfield Century City, so parking is just mall parking (easy but can get busy depending on the time). Final thoughts: Great spot if you're already at the mall and want a quality coffee with a fun vibe. Not a huge sit-down café, but perfect for a quick pick-me-up. Would definitely come back to try more!!

Then I noticed Chamberlain Coffee right in front of us, and there was a line of people waiting, so we decided to try it out of curiosity. When I Googled it, it said that this coffee shop was started by some YouTuber. I had never heard of her before, and since I don't watch YouTube at all, I didn't know who she was. But seeing quite a few people lined up, I figured she must be pretty famous. So we waited in line out of curiosity and ordered three coffees: one espresso for my brother, one Americano for my mom, and an Orange Latte for me. Honestly, the coffee was just okay. Nothing about it felt special, and I personally didn't think it was that good. As for my Orange Latte, I could taste the orange flavor, but one of the staff, she sprinkled cinnamon powder on top without even asking me, which really annoyed me. I don't really like cinnamon, so I was irritated that she added it without checking with me first. The customer service made the experience even more frustrating. Later, I asked for an empty cup, and since there were a lot of cups stacked there, I was about to grab one myself. But the woman behind the counter told me she would give it to me, and handed me a cup with an annoyed attitude. The person who took my order was friendly, but the Asian woman working behind the counter was very unfriendly. What bothered me the most was that she sprinkled cinnamon powder on my Orange Latte without asking me. The Orange Latte really didn't taste good. It was just sweet, and with the cinnamon flavor on top of that, it was so unpleasant that I ended up throwing it away after drinking some of it. Also, the espresso was extremely tiny. After buying three coffees and even leaving a tip, the total came out to $20. I was really disappointed.
