I love to come here to get my self tapes done. I've only worked with Bru, but every time I come, I know I'm leaving with some amazing material. It's super easy to make an appointment, especially at the last minute! If I have any material with any weight to it, I always come here. The minimum is 20 minutes and can go all the way up to an hour. If you go over your time, he will just add an extra charge instead of cutting you off. Which most self-tape people won't do. Plus Bru will actually coach you through your self tape if you need a little extra help. It's also great during pilot season because when a bunch of people are doing the same material, it makes it easier from them to pick up what the casting directors want and your tape comes out that much better. read more

I was also excited that they offer coaching as well, if you're up for it. I went in for a 30 minute session for an audition tape, and with the happily received coaching they let me add on another 10 to make sure we got what we needed. I've tried other self-tape locations (Argentum, CAZT), but Undercurrent is my favorite for many reasons: 1. Video Quality: lighting, sound, color correcting is balanced. For once, I actually think I look good on-camera! 2. Space set-up: Their equipment is professional and the space is very organized, clean, and big enough where I don't feel like I'm cramped in closet like other studios. 3. Cold Read help: Bru & Aina are awesome at helping you with your self-tape. They've been acting for many years, so they understand how to bring out the best in your audition. They were very honest and helpful. I watched my first take and my last take and it showed a world of a difference. They really do know what they are doing. Other locations either don't provide a reader and if they do, the reader doesn't offer as much feedback.
