We truly cannot say enough great things about Dave and Samantha from Light Up Video. From start to finish, their professionalism, creativity, and genuine passion for their work blew us away. From our very first interaction, they were responsive, kind, and full of positive energy. They created a custom quote tailored to our unique event, which was not only more flexible than what others were offering, but also extremely reasonable. Their response time is quick and they're very transparent when it comes to pricing, timeline and what's achievable. Even though they're based in LA, they traveled to San Diego to capture our day and didn't balk at the initial reach out. That level of professionalism, attentiveness, and accommodation really set them apart from the many vendors we explored during the hiring process. Dave and Samantha brought a can-do attitude and sharp creative perspective that made the entire experience feel collaborative and exciting. They listened to our vision, offered thoughtful suggestions without ever pushing an agenda, and elevated the final product far beyond what we imagined. Samantha handled all the logistics and drone work with grace and precision, and Dave captured our elopement with an artist's eye. From planning through final delivery and everywhere in between, every detail was handled with care. Their punctuality and professionalism made everything feel seamless on a day of such high importance to us. We are BEYOND THRILLED with the final video. It's something we'll cherish for the rest of our lives, and we feel so lucky that it was Light Up Video who told our story. Renata and I would recommend their services to literally anyone and everyone. If you're considering them -- do it. You'll be in the best possible hands.

If you want a wedding video shot from a single angle with no artistic taste whatsoever then Ben Meredith is not your guy. However, if you are looking for a true piece of art, with sweeping shots, original music, social media packages and something that you'll be proud of for the rest of your life, then look no further. Ben was a pro every step of the way, and a true pleasure to work with. Showed up to the wedding early, stayed till the end... Kept us afloat of his progress with social media snippets, and emails. Most importantly I am still so impressed with his art, and am so happy he was recommended to us. Highly recommended!!

Working with Rene at Future Sound Studios was the best decision I made in 2018…read more The worst decision I made was using my drummer's boyfriend's studio. I had three great songs that I had written over the summer that I decided needed recording for my debut album. My drummer offered her bf's studio to record the band, which was cool at first. It ended up being a HUGE mistake--the drums sounded AWFUL recorded in his place. Small, tinny, behind-a-padded-wall sound. Out of sync totally. Not to mention his overall attitude was weird--it ended up being his session, not mine. I thought there was no hope for saving these records. And I still had yet to record my vocals. Luckily, we found Rene on Yelp. With his help, I was able to record my vocals and get the drums fixed to a T. Rene made my songs go from B-side 1960's crap small-studio sounding to 2019 sparkling, widescreen Katy Perry perfection. We also go the songs done relatively quickly. I was obviously a bit trepidatious going back into a studio after that last experience, but I shouldn't have been. Rene is very nice and personable, the opposite of what I experience so often in Hollywood. I felt comfortable in his studio the second I stepped foot inside. Rene and I are also on the same wavelength creatively--we both feel when a take is right and when it's not, when a song is hot and when it's not. He is very honest and will tell you the truth, which I appreciate. My favorite part of working with him is his sense of humor. I also respect how I requested no autotune on my voice and he actually listened--most other engineer/producers I've worked with laugh right in my face at that and never do it, they're too egotistical to ever let the singer make mistakes on their record. But he let me try it. Remember, as a mixer, masterer and engineer, his success is your success. He is a hard worker-I must have asked him for 40 files for TV and film placement purposes and he sent me every single one immediately. He is a walking plethora of musical knowledge. The actual room is small where I recorded, but it worked fine for me and my backup singer. If you really wanted to, you could cram a small choir in there, maybe a horn. Rene's studio is for overdubs, not bands. So, keep that in mind. Although he does have other rooms. Great, high-quality gear, too. Fantastic mics. Rene is awesome! I can't imagine going to anyone else to finish this album. Excited to work with him again. Would recommend! 10/10 ***check out edithviolette.com to hear the final product, will be out soon***

The voiceover school at Double RR is phenomenal. I've taken a bunch of different VO classes all…read moreover the city, but I think this is the best place for so many reasons: they offer super small classes, they bring in an impressive variety of professionals and experts, and they offer business classes in the field that provides realistic advice and illustrates real paths to a career in voiceover. They offer classes in narration, commercials, audiobooks, promo, and animation/video games for all levels, and you can sometimes audit a class for free first before committing to a whole series. There's also super specific courses like Accents & Dialects, where they'll bring in an expert like Alyson Steele to teach how to crack any accent, and master the main ones you'll get called for in auditions. They've also brought in Randi Thomas, the woman who live announces the Oscars and a LOT of other award shows. She does a lot promos too, but she was the first woman to do the Oscars and it is a super tough and specific technique. I heard about Double RR from another student, and decided to check it out because I had always been interested in animation, loved audiobooks, fascinated with documentary narration, etc. I loved it, and kept going to as many classes as I could at that studio before branching out to others. But I kept going back to Double RR, and worked my way up to the higher level courses. Their classes were absolutely instrumental in launching my voiceover career. The main instructor is Laurel VanderLinde and she is an absolute force. She's incredible at assessing your skill level and an amazing director. She covers a lot of the main courses in a lot of different areas. And they bring in casting directors for video games, Disney TV animation, promo writers/actors/producers plus VO agents for one-off classes. If you're anywhere from a little to a LOT interested in voiceover, this is the place for you.
