Friendly, outgoing, w/ lots of knowledge of the area. She made the ride to & from the Yacht seem like it was shorter than it was. Jen (our captain) & Katie (naturalist) were wonderful. These ladies know how to make a trip enjoyable. Was almost like family outing. Although the whale spotting started off slow, it really picked up in the 2nd half. I had the best time, even though on this adventure I was the only Man. 2 Ladies, 1 Lady and her Daughter, and then my Wife and I. Would do this tour again in a heartbeat, and if I could request these two bonus points for sure. Holding only 6 guests it makes viewing so much more relaxed as you're not fighting for positions on a bigger boat. You have more of a one on one experience. They also supply you with some binoculars if you didn't bring yours. If you're a photographer this is a great way to get some amazing shots without jockeying for positions to shoot. Great for families as the captains are very knowledgeable about the area and what nature it has to hold. I've been fortunate to be a guest for 3 trips now. Just getting back last week from an amazing tour with Capt Alana. Also got to experience her new boat Naughty Girl. All of Jayleens boats are top notch amazing quality boat's. And transportation from the ship to marina was easy. Pick up is right across the street at the Red Dog Saloon (Side note had a good burger there for lunch after the tout) Seen a lot of whale activity with tail slapping and jumping we only had 3 people on board for this trip so it was like my own boat. Seen whales, eagles, seals porpoise and even a bear on the ride back to town. I'd 1000% recommend Jayleen and her team for an amazing tour in Juneau.

We booked the Private Van Tour with Driver - 14 Passengers through…read morePrincess for $750, based on the description that it was a customizable private Juneau tour and that additional entrance fees might apply depending on destinations selected. What was not disclosed is that nearly every stop outside downtown Juneau came with an additional $4-$5 per person charge, even for locations that are free and have no admission fee. We didn't receive this information until after boarding the ship, just three days before the tour. For a group of ten, these extra charges added up quickly -- we were even told that stopping briefly to take a photo at the whale statue would cost an additional $50. That is not an "entrance fee." It's an undisclosed surcharge for basic sightseeing stops, and it fundamentally changes the value of the excursion. The $750 base price did not provide the kind of private, customizable tour the listing suggests -- it mostly covered the vehicle and driver while requiring additional payments for most destinations. When we raised concerns, the response from the operator was essentially "too bad." We cancelled the trip and booked with a tour operator that didn't charge bogus fees. I would not recommend this operator to anyone.

That aside, and despite my utter disappointment, Alaska Galor Tours, or whatever of the three companies officially did this, knocked it out of the park, from the naturalists Coral and Nick, to Captain Anise or something, it was all ship shape and wonderful. We learned a number of facts and other information about sharks, whales, and local wildlife. On the trip we saw a pod of Orca's playing and frolicking for us then found pack of four humpback whales feeding in same area, not bubble feeding. Nick was able to identify three of the whales, one of them was a female whale that had 6 babies in last 7 years. Hats of to the crew and shore staff that coordinates all this. While I am very disappointed didn't get to the lighthouse am grateful they rescheduled us and refunded the price difference. When come back to Alaska will likely book another route with this group. Do recommend.

In Juneau, we did the Whale Watching tour on Lynn Canal and it didn't take long to spot the first whale diving right in front of us. Unfortunatelly to fast for us to get our cameras out. But during the time out there, we spotted several whales and enjoyed the beautiful scenery as well as the funny and informative comments our captain and our tourgide gave us. We learned quite a bit about the region, whales and history. The snacks and water they provided, was a nice catch. Right off the boat we were transported to the airport for a helicopter trip over the Juneau Icefield and to Herbert Glacier. Our pilote took us safely from and to the airport and gave us a brief intro about the icefield, its glaciers and the surrounding areas. Landing on the glacier and taking a stroll was simply amazing, also because the weather was perfectly sunny. The trip was certainly worth every penny. In Skagway we did a bustour to the Yukon territory. Our busdriver was not just very knowledgable about the tour but also had tons of funny stories about life in Alaska to tell. Time flew by while we enjoyed the beauty of Alaska and Canada on this tour doing several stops for picture taking, walks and lunch at a husky station. Alltogether, the tours were expertly organized and we were in very good hands with the gides we got for our tours. They certainly made a major contribution to my fantastic time in Alaska.

Mr. Bob Harris provided 3 vans with himself, his lovely wife and another gentleman as drivers/guides. The tour was wonderful and informative. At $55 per hour, the overall cost is cheaper than the bus tour provided by the cruise ships. Since we did not travel with other people, we got all the flexibility to go and stop any time. We visited Mendelhall Glacier (Hiked to the nearby waterfall), Macaulay Salmon Hatchery, Downtown Juneau and Shrine of St. Therese (just OK). The best thing of the tour was that they took us to a secret spot to see the salmons in the creek. It's so close that we actually picked up a couple salmons and took pictures. This would be the unforgettable memory for both the kids and adults. I highly recommend Juneau Sightseeing Tours. Joe and Sophie were not only incredibly knowledgeable about the glacier and the surrounding area, but they also kept the group entertained with their great sense of humor. They did an excellent job keeping us on schedule, ensuring we made it back to the cruise port with plenty of time. Their professionalism, organization, and enthusiasm made this one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. We booked Liquid Alaska Tours for our canoe experience as there were very little excursions…read moreavailable since we booked so last minute. We booked through Tripadvisor and the cost for the canoe for each person was about $230 each (pricey, I know). We were pretty bummed when we found out that our tour didn't include getting off the canoe to get up close to the glacier, especially since the price was quite steep. The photos on Tripadvisor and Viator show that the people do in fact get off the boat, but apparently it was incorrect (false advertisement imo). What I will say was the saving grace was the fact the scenery of this canoe ride was epic. There's a lot that can't be seen unless you take a helicopter, seaplane, kayak, or canoe up close to the Mendenhall Glacier. Our tour guide, Dawson was also great. He was full of dad jokes throughout the whole canoe ride. P.S. Don't think you're gonna get off this easy! The canoe ride was an exercise to say the least! My arms were sore the next day!
