The tour it self was cool & great views When we met Uncle Smiley by the beach and he presented myself and my man with the tour he said he'd pick us up from our room. Then next morning we had to find the Hyatt for pick up and was rushed! I was not happy about that! On the tour we went to Fumi's a shrimp spot to eat which was good. Our driver Kapono was very nice guy. He suggested we pre- order because we would arrive at lunch hours , a busy time. He passed out this folder for everyone to write order , amount of order & changed owed. My partner and I order came up to $32 dollars and we put $40 dollars and never received our change! Now we definitely would of tipped that or let him keep it but I didn't like how he never mentioned us getting our change back!! Definitely funny move! Unprofessional business Tactics! Again very nice guy but I would suggest tell people have exact change or they won't get they're change back VS just keeping everyone money!! Now some people did write keep change, i wrote owed because I wanted him to return my change and let me tip my money if I WANTED!!!! You don't just keep people change!! We paid for this tour it was not free so no one has a right to just keep your change from order!! The tour was a full day and it was worth it! Just need to be a little more organized!! Tour started with getting picked up at our hotel on time and a tour around the island up to the north shore with several stops along the way for bathroom breaks and snacks. Bus was comfortable and our guide knew exactly when and where to go to avoid traffic and long lines. For example, we got to the Pineapple plantation at the right time without having to deal with the long line! Our lunch was ordered in advance to avoid a long wait. We ate on tables by the beach. You can't beat his price as well, which was much less than the other tour companies. Car rental was expensive, so between this tour and the Waikiki Trolley, we got to see all of Oahu without any stressful driving. Great tour and wonderful service. Uncle Smiley is a hidden gem Staying in Oahu has been great, but it's difficult finding a reputable van tour, but we lucked out with this one. Art picked us up in front of our hotel. He made sure we had enough water and snacks during the tour. There was plenty of rest stops for breaks. He also likes to talk so be ready! The banter in the van was fun and made the day go by fast The tour took the whole day and was filled with lots of activities and private excursions (Halona blowhole, Kahala Hotel & resort, Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach, Diamond Head Monument). The Kahala hotel was cool and we got to see a dolphin show. The Dole plantation was also a pleasant surprise; so many tasty pineapple treats. We had lunch at a local food stand which was ok. I highly recommend this tour service. Every stop and every experience was well planned. It was so refreshing to experience the countryside. Not only did we visit the Macadamia Nut Farm, Turtle Beach and a few other beaches, Uncle Smiley included a tour of the Kahala Hotel and Resort, which accommodated many a celebrity over the years. A full day of Island exploring. You start around 7:30 am and get back around 5pm give or take an hour. Try your best to be on time. Be prepared to make new friends from all over the world. They make a lot of stops all around the island. The short stops are about twenty minutes and the long ones are about one hour. Plenty of opportunities to use the restroom. I wish that we were able to get to the dole plantation sooner, most activities were closed when we arrived. There is a short snorkel activity that lasts about an hour and they do an equipment stop for those who want to participate. Bring a towel and about $50 in cash. The tour stops at multiple stores along the island to buy souvenirs but the prices aren't any cheaper than what's in Waikiki. I suggest doing all souvenir shopping at the aloha stadium swap meet, you will save so much money and it has all of the same stuff (I wish I knew this sooner, just take an Uber ). The tour guide that we had (Kiki) is a native to the island and he is very entertaining, informative, and he's a great singer. The tour guide is also your server at lunch. The lunch is from a shrimp food truck and it's absolutely amazing!!! The garlic shrimp and rice is delicious. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO TIP THE TOUR GUIDE. I was amazed to see how many people didn't tip after the service and tour that he provided. Overall the tour runs smoothly and it's a good full day activity. read more

Mr. Witherspoon aka Uncle Smiley is the coolest and best he was on time to pick me up. I found him near the McDonald's and Egg place. I left out my hotel 10 minutes early and he was outside waiting on me. The deposit was very cheap compared to other tour groups. Once on the tour bus the driver Chelle is the best also. TLDR; Very unorganized, abrasive customer service, & sketchy tactics. We met Smiley in front of Eggs n' Things on Kalākaua Ave, he was nice and personable initially and gave us tips on where to go and where to eat. We ended up deciding to go on his tour to support him since he said this was his business & he gave us a discount because we were here for a birthday celebration. We then paid a $40 deposit. He told us to meet him at 7:15am the next morning. That morning, he called us at 7:11am and when I told him we are finishing brushing our teeth and coming down now, he told me "I told y'all to be ready at 7:15am! Y'all are gonna make me late for my tour." We literally were done at that point & made it down on time, once we did, he laughed and told us that "he does that for the ladies 'cause he knows how we are when it comes to getting ready." Which was funny at the time because we thought we were late and it was a relief that we weren't, but what was the point of yelling and being rude if we weren't even late? He then walked us about 2 blocks to another hotel where there were 3 different tour companies with multiple busses. He told us we would be with Snyder aka "Haiti", but he went and talked to Milo from one of the multiple busses who is another tour guide. He was trying to get him to drive us to another pickup spot to meet "Haiti". We didn't end up going with Milo initially & Smiley got a call and ended up leaving us without any direction on what to do. We asked him before he disappeared if we should be waiting for "Haiti", he said "Yeah, he'll be there in 10 minutes, don't get on anyone's bus or pay anyone but me." We talked to Milo a little while waiting & then Smiley called us and told us to talk to "Kentucky". Milo pointed him out & told us "he's the owner/boss" we went over, greeted him and let him know we were with Uncle Smiley. He did not greet us and just asked us if we paid, we told him just the deposit so far. He asked for the receipt & how much we still owe. We told him & he said that we can't get on unless we paid, but remember Smiley told us not to pay anyone but him so we were a little confused. By the way, the entire time we were trying to speak to him he was walking around and trying to pull other tourist from the other companies and just generally not trying to help us figure out what THEIR company had going on. We then called Smiley & he told us to tell Kentucky to call him. So we did & he told us "I'll call him after" and basically just left us standing there. Smiley then explicitly told us to get on the bus with Kentucky and he'll take us to "the hub" to get on the tour with "Haiti". We then relayed that info to Kentucky who told us "we can't get on unless we pay & he doesn't have time for this & he moves 200 ppl a day." At this point we didn't even wanna do the tour anymore. Kentucky said that he was about to leave and if we're going, pay this guy standing next to him. We paid & he told us TO GET ON MILOS BUS! Like wtf is going on??? So we get on & then see who ends up being "Haiti" we chat with him a sec about the confusion & he says that "oh yeah that's always how it goes". Smiley then calls us and says "I told you not to pay anyone! You weren't suppos- NEVERMIND." Then hung up on me. We ended up have a good time with Milo. He was really funny and a great tour guide as him and his family have a deep Hawaiian history & he stopped us at local spots to experience the food and culture. Uncle Smiley owner Arthur Witherspoon orchestrated my family tour while in Honolulu, Hawaii (Waikiki, O'ahu). We spoke prior to my arrival in Hawaii to set the tour up. Once I arrived, he checked in with me to confirm the tour. The day of the tour, Arthur greeted us at our hotel. We waited for a tour bus to pick us up. The tour bus was operated by AllStar transportation. My family hoped for a private tour, but it was still great. Once on the bus, we were taken to another location to get on a different our bus with our driver Kapono. At that point, Arthur parted ways while Kapono became our tour guide. We toured on a Wednesday with Melo. He was there to pick us up early. Gave us a phenomenal tour around the island. We made stops along the way and sampled Portuguese donuts, fresh cut pineapple, freshly made mudslide ice cream. We had lunch at the best Shrimp and chicken Food truck.
