Holy cow I thought I wrote a review for Uncle Herb's a long time ago! This has been one of my honey's go-to places for years. They have reliably good flower at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and generally they are not out of the products they have advertised as being on sale. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because there are a few places in town that have better sale prices if you are patient and scour weed maps diligently. But if you want to commit to one place for overall value consistently, Uncle Herbs is pretty darn good. read more

I've been a customer at all 3 locations for years, and today was the 2nd time I've been rushed and treated poorly by their staff. The first time was last November, and I just blew it off. There were 2 ladies in there, and 1 of them was super helpful and helped me find what I was looking for, the other could only say one thing, which was "anything else?" I have been less rushed at TSA on Christmas Eve. She was not knowledgeable and acted like I was an inconvenience by asking if they had something in stock. I asked for a receipt in the bag hoping for a name on it to personalize my review but she didn't even give me a receipt. It wasn't busy and I even waited in line to pay Here's some advice Uncle Herb- teach your employees to treat your customers as people who have money and are willing to spend it elsewhere, because that's what I'll do next time. read more

This place is great. Definitely my favorite shop in town. But sad to say, their old time employees are quickly walking out the door due to disrespect and neglect. Invest in your employees if you want to grow as a positive business. Time and time again we, the customers, see this with all local businesses. Where to being, there texts messages are false, whenever you go over to their location, they are with all out, the "sale" is over even though they advertise that the sales are for a few days or a week. They need work on their customer service big time,-stories on that subject would cover pages, anyway there are plenty of other locations around town that I will continue to go to and remind myself why they were taken off of #Weedmaps , and to forget about being a loyal customer at one point. read more

I have been here a few times now and one thing that I am constantly bombarded with are smiles. This group of individuals seem like they really want me there and that experience alone is what sets them apart from about 90% of the other retail shops in Anchorage. Sure, most retail shops have great weed (Uncle Herb's is no exception), but not everyone has the friendliness that they have. Uncle Herb's also has a loyalty program as well as weekly specials ($40 1/8ths, don't let the 13-15% strains scare you, I was faded AF) and it's these little things that really set them apart. James helped me the first few times I went and he was great. Very patient with me and answered all my questions. The gal working with him (really nice gal with clear glasses, didn't get her name) offered up good conversation as James was pulling product to show. I ended up going with some Indica strains and came back an hour later for a cbd strain for my lady. They have earned my business and I will continue to drive across town to support them. read more
