I came here because I had family in town from a state with draconian laws about a plant that grows in the ground. I haven't been into many Cannabis businesses, so I can't really compare. I will say, this place feels really upscale and the people are really nice and helpful. The options are dizzying and the place smells like hoppiest IPA you've ever quaffed. Nice clean, safe, welcoming vibe. Coming from Nevada, I thought Alaska would have as good or better selection but I was very disappointed in the edibles that are available. The employees here are really nice, the vibe was great inside, and they let me take my time, and explained strains and gave me their preferences for what I was looking for. No candy, no gummies :( which I went in for. Product is pricey, and not a huge amount of choice, but I don't think that's the dispensaries fault, that is on suppliers. so out of the shops here in Anchortown these folks do things right! Super nice staff, great prices on utensils and a really good vibe! Great little family run business in Spenard. They have overflow parking in the new BT lot next door so it's not hard to find a space. The prices are on par with the rest of the shops in Anchorage. Cannabis product prices are on par with other places in town. This place is similar to AK Fireweed. The vibe is upscale, dare I say classy? They seem very legit and thorough and safe... I know that sounds weird, but this isn't the kind of place where you'd get hassled if you know what I mean. God's Gift is the first strain I tried from this place. Sometimes I get used to going to the same dispensary and decide to keep going. Then I feel like trying something different. It smelled great. The taste was OK and didn't taste bad. I'm fond of indicas and smoke heavily so I need something that packs a punch. It's a very clean establishment and the bud tenders are very friendly. I got a hint of lemon and a hashy, creamy flavor first hit. It burned clean to ash all the way down. I got instant headache relief and body relaxation. 45 minutes later, I am relaxed and nice and buzzed but still able to function as I needed to the rest of the afternoon. read more

At first glance the place seems like a nice place to go, a very welcoming ID check, then into the actual store. I personally do not have a lot of experience with edibles, so I asked a worker for some further information. The worker answers back very aggressively "ARE YOU TRYING TO GET HIGH." I just wanted to know a little more information on the effects of CBD and THC, but I guess this dispensary is not the place to ask. The very polite person who checked my ID reminded the worker that I just wanted more information. It would be nice if everyone there was polite. *Keep in mind I'm from California!* Our first time in Alaska, wanted to try out the dispensaries since weed is legal here. Also, we're spoiled with great weed and great prices in California so we wanted to see how Alaska measured up to what we were used to. Decided to try out Enlighten Alaska because of the good reviews. Staff was friendly enough. They check your id in the front room before you can go into the actual shop (you must be 21+). Decided to try a hybrid and some edibles, settled on the lemon dreams and I forget which gram. Paid $50-something for 5 servings of 5 mg lemon dreams cookie edible things and a gram of the hybrid. I really enjoy the edibles, good for mellowing out, I've been using them to help fall asleep. Have yet to try the hybrid but I'm sure it's good! The prices overall are a little high, but understandable I guess, and like I said, I might be a little spoiled because of California prices. you can get 15-20 servings of 10 mg THC gummies for under $20 in California, but that's just me complaining. Would maybe visit again since the other shops seem to be way higher in price from what I've read in other reviews! This is my by far most favorite cannabis shop! The atmosphere is very pleasing and the color schemes are just lovely. (Big bonus on the cooper tone!) but what is even better is the array of products they have on shelf. They have it on a "pastry-like" shelf which is eye-level. It makes everything way easier, I could look at the flowers and ask for which one to smell. The staff is amazing and doesn't seem pushy; they cater to their customers based on their needs. For example: I was looking for something to relieve that "time of month" aches and they gave me recommendations with several options. Visited for the first time today. Parking is not a hassle, there are several places to parallel park and an additional parking lot you can use across the street. You enter the store, which is beautiful and subtle on the outside with faded windows, and you are greeted by a clean, gorgeous entry area, where your ID is checked and a huge screen shows the day's specials and prices. No sketchy people and all the people who work here are super helpful, take the time to find the right thing for you and make sure you are comfortable. It's a family run business, and the family is awesome. They have a reward program, which is great. It's clean in the back, and there are a lot of choices - from edibles to cool clothing to beautiful pipes and good quality product. They clearly do everything safely and keep up on regulations and expectations, ordering from only the best cannabis suppliers. Prices fall well within the prices in Anchorage - if you can get it cheaper on the street, go for it, but this business is the way to go if you want consistently good product, friendly and safe service, and really nice and no -sketchy other shoppers.
