Employees seem knowledgeable and good. The woman at the counter was excellent salesperson. Products seem good. But they do not enforce mask or visors in this small store. I am here to get out of pain - not get covid. I will not be returning. Open to revising my thoughts on this if mask enforcement situation changes. This place is super awesome! I got a discount for being a first time customer which helped me because I have breast cancer and I had a mastectomy earlier in the week and I wanted to be more comfortable so I got me some edibles. Cannabaska is one of two cannabis retailers in Anchorage that currently also have a grow operation on site. They were also the first retail op that started selling "deli style " where you pick your bud, which is nice because you don't get stuck with overly dry or wet product. Recently a few other places in town have followed suit. The location is very nice inside. I will not be returning to Cannabaska. I was shorted twice by the same clerk. Last month I went in to buy my monthly oz and realized it was only half an ounce when I arrived home. Since I had already left the store I didn't say anything. I had to buy another ounce that month. This month I went in and was waited on by the same clerk. I saw it was once again short and inquired why. He just said it was because the buds were dence. I don't appreciate being ripped off and taken advantage of. I called 3 x and left an email for the owners, but never received a return call. I will be reporting to the BBB. read more

i was an employee there for not even few months. They hardly train you on your first day, they show you where stuff is and expect you to just watch the rest of them serve customers. You couldn't talk to the customers for the first 2-3 days of training. Dont even get me started on their ridiculous prices. They mostly put you on front desk instead of Budtending, have you write down how many customers come in,who uses the ATM,Who calls and why,etc. I didn't feel welcomed while working there as there was to many people behind the counter shuffling around and picking which customers to help. Love the reward system at this place. I'm a casual smoker, probably 1-2 joints per week. After about a year of going I had enough points for a brand new dab rig, for free, or an 1/8th for $0.99, among other rewards. Pretty sweet deal and the staff is always kind and patient with me. Yuk! What I tried tasted burnt, it was dry and the flavor wasn't nice. Maybe I'm too picky. I have yet to be super impressed with any dispensary to date. I'm huge on flavor and it wasn't flushed properly and it was just barely palatable. The one thing they have going on is they are open later than most. Some places hours are head scratchers for sure. Some open after noon some close before 7p.m. I usually get my own but want to try some from new places but I'm starting to get super disappointed. Yes I am a pot snob. I've been nothing but loyal for the past 3 years and despite that, your employees continue to take advantage of me and scam me by giving me less than what I asked for by default. If they aren't forgetting to double check whether or not I want a half gram premium joint or full gram joint made of trimmings, they are forgetting to specify what kind of cartridge I want and giving me an amount I didn't ask for. Not once have I been offered at least a 5 percent coupon for optics' sake despite my troubles. I keep saying I'm never going back, but this is probably it for me. This is the first dispensary I tried out. I was super impressed until I checked out some others. Cannabaska has lower THC levels than some of the other shops, while at the same time it has (much) higher prices. They are one of the closest dispensaries to the airport, so they will continue to get traffic; but unless they work on their product and run some specials, I don't foresee myself returning or recommending it to other locals. read more

I'm very very surprised that they don't have the number one spot in Anchorage as a weed dispensary, because in my modest opinion they deserve it! BOYCOTT!!!! This place doesn't deserve a penny of your money. They over price their weed and treat their employees like trash. The owners are foreigners who have no morals or human decency. Im pregnant and they took my husband off the schedule for a full pay period for no good reason. He was slow at completing a task due to a disability he has and that's why he was taken off the schedule. Not only is that a horrid thing to do to someone expecting a child but they were informed of his disability when he was hired. They did the same thing to a single father who was late to work because his babysitter was late. How sick is that? Being told "have this done by the end of the day or your fired" was a regular occurrence. They fired people left and right for the smallest things. They would make people work 10 days in a row without overtime. They would just put the hours in the system like they worked Monday through Friday instead. The weed is also not good quality. Went to cannabaska for the first time this weekend. Considering they are one of the shops I hear advertising on the radio the most often I had a feeling their store was going to be something different from the rest. I was right but for the wrong reasons.. When I got to the shop I asked if they had any sales on pre rolls and the budtender points to the menu and says "nah this is all we got". 2 options for prerolls both $13. So far out of all the shops I've visited in Alaska (and that's a lot) I have never seen one with so little to offer. I purchased the prerolls assuming they were a gram each. once I got to the car I realized one was .69g and the other was 1.10g? both priced the same? just spent $26 on less than 2 grams of pot.. not just pot but the leftovers they use for prerolls no less.. The budtender never mentioned the portions were so far off. So far for the most part places do a gram or half gram joint and they let you know what you're purchasing. so ya, needless to say I wont be returning to cannabaska, every experience I've had at every other shop in AK has been far more impressive and less expensive. read more
