Best Italian in Stuart. We were a party of 4 and each ordered a different dish. I had the lasagna and what a treat it was. It was a very light lasagna and not the super heavy kind that sits like a rock in your belly. The flavor was fantastic. One member of our group had the spaghetti and "mammoth" meatballs; he too was impressed! Chicken Parmesan that my sister in law had was also very tender and delicious! My hubby ordered the Veal Marsala and was also happy with his choice! We always order our pizzas from here as we feel theirs is the best in town! Cesar and Giacomo have a great place here, we have a regular gatherings of friends we meet for dinner and to get together. Food is good drinks are are always flowing and we have much fun. Their pie is of the top in the area, as well as their calzone and Stromboli and the antipasto is excellent also. That and a small pie is a really nice dinner for two. Went about a month ago for my birthday & it was to die for! Both our entrees were amazing! And our server was able to snag a delicious creme brûlée for me. That's all I wanted on my birthday and he made it happen (: I tried pick up last night, just a cheese pie. It was quite underdone and as a result it didn't taste very good. I'm being a touch generous with 5 stars, more like 4.5. Cool place. Very good vib/atmosphere. Feels as authentic as it gets. The staff are great! They are so friendly, and accommodating. I believe it was one of the owners who was working the floor as hard as the wait staff. Greeting people, bringing checks, etc. We really enjoyed the personable ambiance. We were seated right in front of the live singer. I was afraid that, being so close, it would have been too loud, but it wasn't, and he was good. Added to the overall feel. They brought out some really good fresh bread with a plate of seasoned olive oil and olives. Excellent. We ordered the calamari and a Uncle G's pizza. The only reason for taking off a 1/2 star is the calamari. It was a fairly small portion, and for that amount and at $13 it should of knocked our socks off. It didn't. It was a bit under cooked, a bit chewy, and could have used a little more batter to give it some crunch. It was tasty, and the portion was good enough, but a bit disappointing - especially for the price. We won't be ordering that again. We also ordered a house Chardonnay and a Chianti. Both very good. Being our first time there, we decided to try the loaded pizza. Ordered a medium - 14". Way more than I thought it would be. We could have easily gotten by with a small to split between the two of us. We usually order Papa Johns, so it's good to get a real authentic pie occasionally. This was one of the better ones I've had in the area. Good crust, loaded with quality toppings, and very good flavor. We will order it again. Really, the big takeaway is that they do it right, and it shows by the amount of patrons. You could tell that they were regulars. The owners and staff take pride in what they do, and it shows. We celebrated our 10th Anniversary there with a reservation for 20 as Italian cuisine is a favorite of ours. The staff were ready with our table all set up. We have always enjoyed previous meals there. They were very pleasant and professional with their service. Everyone ordered their choice of drinks, appetizers and entrees. No one left disappointed. The portions of each entree was more than sufficient, the bread was also a big hit. Everyone complimented the restaurant for the tasty food, and great service. They also allowed us to bring our own cake for dessert. They graciously sliced and served it with coffee at the end of the evening. Great food, friendly staff. Let me start by saying that my wife and I are both from NY and every time something says " NY Style" we are disappointed. Except tonight. Uncle Giuseppes is the real deal, with just a few near misses. We decided to sample some stuff and share since it's our first time. So we got a small sausage pizza, which was good, but not perfect. The crust was a little less crispy than we like, but nothing a " well done" request couldn't fix. Fresh garlic bread was brought to the table with a side of seasoned oil for dipping. The bread was a bit underwhelming, more of a crispy white bread but the oil was delicious. We moved on to the meatballs with ricotta which were perfect in every way. Our Sicilian Aunt was smiling down from heaven as we enjoyed every bite. We then moved in to chicken Parmesan with penne. Tender, not overly sauced or cheesed, perfect flavor with a generous side of penne marinara al dente This is a friendly neighborhood restaurant where the owner is on site and takes time to check in with you to make sure you are having a good experience. I got the lasagna and DH got manicotti. OMG! Obviously homemade with tomatoes not canned sauce (plus our waiter confirmed). The bread was soft with a not too hard crust. You get soup or salad, too. After an hour-and-a-half wait for our salads at another Italian restaurant which has gotten great reviews (why I don't know), I paid the bill and six of us left for Lil Bit a Brooklyn. It was a special, dual birthday celebration which seemed to have been ruined. It was late near 8 pm and we didn't have reservations unlike the previous restaurant, but we were quickly accommodated. We've dined here before and Giacomo, the owner, has always been gracious. The food and service are superb. Our entire family is Italian and we usually eat at home, preferring our own cooking to Italian restaurant fare. Before retirement I was an executive in several food manufacturing businesses and later owned four delis and a commercial bakery. Food has been my lifelong business and cooking my avocation for many years. But I've got to say Lil Bit a Brooklyn is truly worth a visit, whether or not you're a gourmet home cook...and the prices are reasonable. I must retract my original 5 star review as I was so excited to get a really good meal in Stuart, which has only mediocre restaurants (head south to Palm Beach County for really good food). Now we go here all the time, often for takeout these days, and I find that the pizza and subs are only fair, and the dinners are still good, though inconsistent. As a NYer who moved here 21 years ago, I really know great Italian food, both around the country and Italy, and I would grade this place as home cooked Italian fare. I was in two years ago when it was under different management, had the Chicken Marsala then and sampled the pizza. I just tried it again tonight and the pizza is still great. I ordered, a pasta dish, and some family members ordered a pizza, I sampled a slice. This is by far, the best pizza in Martin County that I've had. The service was not great, but in their defense, the waitress did tell us she was new...I expect she'll get better but I feel like they should have had a seasoned vet helping her tonight. It was "Trivia night" which was fun, but seemed unnecessary as the place seems to be doing just fine without it. Sounds like Trivia night is a regular Thursday thing starting at 6:30 and going until 8ish. Holy moly, talk about finding a gem in the middle of strip mall hell!?!? We walked in expecting generic pizza, and we're absolutely blown away! Starting with a Caesar salad that was topped with obviously homemade dressing, and hot, buttery garlic bread the starters were sensational. For dinner I had perfectly cooked mahi mahi over angel hair pasta with capers, olives, and a slightly tangy tomato sauce. Sublime. My husband had the stromboli with sausage, onion, ham, tomato, and cheese. The crust was paper thin and the whole thing could not have been more delicious! The Quadruple pasta, with manicotti, ravioli, and shell's was a joke. The chicken parm was ok, but not good. The meal was overpriced and not good. Sauce, or gravy, is everything. Local hotel (Hampton) recommended Uncle G's and I'm really glad we tried it! Our server, Lisa, was GREAT! She suggested dishes and on her recommendation I had chicken saltimbocca and it was delish! My husband had lasagna, meatballs, and house salad with their homemade dressing! All fresh and tasty! The cannoli's were perfect ... A few bites, just the right size -- capped off the meal! Struck up great conversations with couples from two tables ... They thought pizza was THE BEST and made return trips just for that! I would definitely return to Uncle Giuseppe's if in Stuart again! We went there for the first time on Saturday. Loved the ambience the gentleman singing was very good. Not so great. Ordered a pizza and found the cheese to be a strange consistency. Unbelievably stringy, somewhat tasteless, and when melted it looked like liquefied plastic. I've heard of pizza places using artificial cheese and I'm wondering if that's the case. I've been to MANY pizza places and I've never had cheese like theirs.
