I am a huge fan of Uncle Cheffy. Every time I come to Manila I hit this place a few times. First, they serve Cerveza Negra by Sam Mig. That is my favorite Filipino brew. Everyone else serves the Pilsen, Light, and Red Horse. Second, the panizza. It is crazy good. The crust is perfect. Thin, crisp, but not like cardboard... An actual crust. Today I tried the east meets west panizza and it was delicious of course. It had ham, chicken, and mango of all things and it worked. It worked well. I also like the crazy pig and garlic panizza but ask for light garlic. The reason is that they claim it's roasted garlic. Roasted garlic is soft, brown, and sweet as the sugars have caramelized while roasting. This garlic however, is pan fried until dark brown which bitters the garlic. I really wish it was true roasted garlic because it would be one of the best damn pizza's ever. I have also ordered other items such as the cheese sticks but I found them rather bland. The surf and turd is a family platter and is very good for the money actually. My friend gets fish whenever I drag her there and she is happy with it. They also serve a menu that is specifically aimed at Arabic customers so if you are searching for some Middle Eastern flavor search no more, Cheffy has you covered. To top it off, they serve Turkish style coffee and have hookahs with a variety of shisha to choose from. Looking for a crisp clean non-alcoholic drink? They have you covered here as well with drinks like green mango. You can't go wrong here in my opinion. read more
