I usually come from Chicago to the burbs to knockout shopping in one area. This strip mall that Uncharted is located in meets this need. I happily stumbled upon Uncharted as I ventured the strip. At first I was rather overwhelmed and had sensory overload from al the cuteness, but quickly became familiar with the store after doing an initial walk thru. They have a nice selection of clothes and carefully curated items. I appreciate the variety and can see my wallet hurting if I brought my teen and tweenage girls. Last but not least, they had the Swedish gummy pop up selling at a great price. You bet I took advantage of that! I will definitely come back with my girls and maybe a mom's only shopping trip. read more

It's always a promising sign when customers are waiting outside the door for the store to open. Unless they have pitchforks and torches of course. No, it was a couple of moms and their tweenish daughters, and for a moment I thought, this store isn't for me. They pulled on the locked door a few times, and when it finally opened, I made my way into the store, along with a few other people. It was a store for me, and them, and you and your friends. Uncharted is a very nice gift store, and larger inside than you expect. There were candles, housewares, cards, clothes, toys, jewelry, candy, men's gifts, and more. It's an updated and more trendy Hallmark store. The staff were very nice, and asked me to join their rewards club. I declined, as this location is a little far for me. I did purchase a cute scratch-off artpad for a gift and some pretty notecards. read more

New store alert in Oak Brook IL. A one stop retail store where you can stop in and shop. They have some of the cutest and unique gift items. Anywhere from clothes, household items, Stanley Cups, special gift ideas, pet items, candles etc. There is such a wide selection of items for you to purchase. As I walked around the store, the employees were nice asking everyone if they needed help. Super Cutest Store for everyone to shop and find some cool gifts. read more

I now have been to this location two times. Each time I really like the clothing and the selection of items. Quite a diverse store and very nicely laid out. However, the first time, several months ago i checked my receipt before leaving and was overcharged by $15. I also noticed that there was nobody in the whole store to help me. No one on the floor. Somebody was at the register and no one was around to let me in a dressing room which they keep locked. The staff behind the counter did not seem very knowledgeable with their products or questions I had. So then I returned today for a second time only to find the same problems. I had to walk up to the cashier and ask if someone can let me in the dressing room. She had to leave the register to let me in. Again, where are the people on the floor? Once I did find someone on the floor ... I asked about sizing, I explained to the sales woman that the smalls that I tried on were huge. She seemed to stare me up and down and said "well you know the style now is for things to be oversized". Excuse me? First of all I'm fully aware of that but I'm 5 foot tall and 115 pounds and there's a difference between oversized and falling off me. I had to repeat this to her 2 to 3 times and then I started to think why am I explaining myself to her? Why can't she just give me an answer or find my size? Then she gave me the wrong information. I was told an item could be ordered in an extra small then when I got to the counter, at checkout, the cashier said it could not be ordered but she had no idea why. I asked her well, can I order it? She said "I don't know". And then she told me again that she doesn't know the reason why she can't order it. She never offered to call a manager or to escalate the issue to find out. I went on the website as I was standing at the register to try to find the item and she was of absolutely no assistance to even help me find the item on the website. When I got my receipt, I didn't understand some charged items and I never got a separate receipt for the one item that she ordered to have shipped to me. Then she told me I should get an email. I never got the email. Then she told me to snapshot a screen of the order number. And then what? She had no information on how the shipping even worked. She had no clue. The worst part about it just like the first time in that store the employees didn't seem to care. My first and second time was not with the same staff member, but my experience was the same. So I asked for the manager. The manager was helpful but why should I have to ask for a manager? The manager couldn't figure out either why I did not get a receipt or a confirmation of my item that was ordered so she said she would call me tomorrow. She said she wanted to look into what the problem was. I found it all quite strange. It seems like the store staff is unmotivated don't care and are not properly trained. They're also not very friendly ( aside from the manager). So I really do like the items in the store, but in my experience, the customer service is severely lacking. It's too bad because it's a nice store, however seems poorly managed. Oh, and not to mention the part where an employee knocked on my dressing room door, wondering when I'm going to come out as another person had to use the dressing room. I understand that there's only two dressing rooms, but I brought a ton of stuff in with me because of the great trouble it takes to go back-and-forth and finding someone to open it Update: Heather, the manager never did call me back like she said she would. I again had to call the store and speak to another manager. I think his name is Ethan? And he has to do some digging to figure out the problem and locate my order. Very cool gift shop. I enjoyed looking around at all of the different things. They have clothes, comfy robes, slippers, jewelry, accessories, candles, cards, gifts for men, women and baby, candies, stuffed animals, decor and more. It's a little bit of everything. My favorite part of the store was for sure the Jellycat stuffed animals in the back. They had alot of great stock before Christmas, but I went at the end of January and they didn't have the largest variety. I was hoping to snag a couple of ones I've been wanting but they didn't have any. I will probably visit again once they fully restock. Definitely check it out! read more
