Full of goodies and welcome letter from Dr Campbell. Then was given a tour of their lovely and modern practice. I was then introduced to Karla their RDH. Very nice and professional. Their lobby has water, snacks and Keurig Coffee. Also, free Wi-Fi. After my X-rays and cleaning I was introduced to Dr Campbell. Very nice man and went over my X-rays with me. I would highly recommend this dental practice. I was also introduced to Talysha who is one of the receptionists and was assisting in the back office. Everyone here makes you feel welcome and at home. They are terrific.

In my opinion, do not put your trust in Dr. Rick Campbell (dentist) of Roseburg, Oregon. I received…read morecleanings, exams, and general dentistry during a five year period. On one occasion when I needed urgent dental care due to an intermittent painful situation, he was unable to locate a problem and suggested that an old filling be replaced, but he was unable to fit me into his schedule. He referred me to an endodontist, who could not identify any root canal problems. A message left on Dr. Campbell's cell phone was returned by his receptionist twice. She explained that Dr. Campbell was unable to identify a problem and could not offer any advice on how to proceed. In fact, he would not talk to me and 2 days later, sent me a letter directing me not to return to his office. In summary, I have found the price for his services to be much higher than comparable dentists and on two occasions he recommended treatment that was different and more expensive than that recommended by other specialists. His mannerism is abrupt and abrasive. When asked, he appears to rush through explanations in a clipped manner. Finally, when my only urgent need arose in five years, he did not have the time to attempt a procedure that might have addressed the problem. Is this the dentist you want working in your mouth?

Yes I was nervous, but while waiting in the dental chair after getting an xray, you could hear conversations from the Dr's and Patients. They were all so kind to the patients, explaining every detail. And my Dr came in, was as well thorough. The procedure was to take about 40 minutes, To be honest, while they were not rushing at all the procedure of drilling, and filling with a few mere minutes. Letting that set, and then finishing, and polishing. Don't hesitate, if you need an endodontist, this is the place to go to!

I dislike leaving negative reviews, but I'd like other folks to beware. I went to Valley River…read moreEndodontics to find out if a root canal was needed to save a tooth. Even after the expense of a 3-D X-ray, the endodontist couldn't say. He said he wouldn't know until he got in there. What a crock. The visit cost $400+ and all I got was basically "pay another $1800+ so we can go exploring." I had to pay the $400+ at the time of service, which wasn't unexpected, but it was tough because I'm on a fixed income. A couple of weeks later I received an EOB from my insurance which indicated that they would pay all but about $26 of the bill, which was a huge relief until I called the endodontic office and was told they hadn't received the payment and couldn't reimburse me until they had, and that reimbursement wouldn't come until about 2 weeks after they received payment. Long story shortened, I didn't hear back from the office so called again after about a month, at which point I found out they had lied to me, they had in fact had the payment in hand when i called the first time, but hadn't gotten around to processing the refund. Except for the lying to me part the staff was friendly, but I sure as hell won't be going back to this office.
