We enjoyed our visit!! The atmosphere was great. The sushi was awesome. I got the Wisconsin roll and it was super delicious. Great variety of rolls to choose from and even offer gluten-free options. The ramen, however, was just alright nothing too memorable but not bad either. If you're craving good sushi in a nice setting, this spot is worth checking out!

I was really excited to try Umi Sushi, as it is right by my house. I was a little disappointed, it was fairly crowded inside, but my sushi was way too fishy. I love sushi and I love fish, I did get a to-go order so that could be why I didn't love it. Not sure if I'd try again.

Excellent sushi. Fresh ingredients, well made and tastefully plated. Visually appealing and very tasty.

The ambiance and decor a nice modern feel. The food was good and we enjoyed the nice quiet evening talking with our family. There were very few people in this Sunday evening. They seemed short wait staff as I only saw one waitress. She was nice but frazzled. There seemed enough people behind the bar and in the sushi prep station but wait time longer than should have been.

This place never disappoints, except for when it's unexpectedly closed. Often come here for lunch. The hibachi entrees are always super tasty. Their ginger dressing is some of the best I tasted. Their sushi is always super fresh and flavorful. My favorites for the lunch menu are the chicken hibachi with fried rice and the spicy jalapeño roll. Come to Umis lunch and you get the superior sushi experience for an affordable price. My go to in GB for the price, product, and no crowds. It's a best kept secret.

The best Sushi we have had since moving to Wisconsin! Thank you for making my girls birthday a great night!

From the a la carte menu, hokkigai, botan ebi, squid, octo, snapper.

Their all you can eat deal is one of the best values in town for the sheer volume and variety of food you get. The menu handles the basics incredibly well, and the sushi is rolled fresh to order. The volcano roll and the local themed green bay roll are absolute must tries. both are loaded with flavor Their deal also includes apps and desserts. Their crab rangoons were perfectly crispy and the yakisoba had great flavor. The atmosphere was relaxed and the booth tables made it easy to share rolls with everyone. The service was very friendly and explained the menu and restaurant concept with us as this was our first visit. We did find the kitchen was a bit backed up during the lunch hour and found ordering a few rolls at a time easiest and having our next round of items ready when the previous rolls were delivered to the table. They do charge for excessive leftovers so order 1-2 rolls at time when people start getting full. Overall, it was an amazing spot for great portions, friendly servers, and a wide selection of rolls available.

It has to be open, with its staff dancing around for a video. This place has good ambiance, however, the reviews were more than accurate. There is a chef that sings, pretty well I might say, and there's one chef that kinda can cook. Only 2 cooks, for a place of about 6 grills. His veggies were burnt, shrimp, rubber. But steak (ordered Med-rare) was Medium, got about half a portion of a full cut of steak. Compared to its sister location Nakashima of Appleton, the salad portion was smaller. Still good. However, the tuna Guacamole, was acceptable, after requesting a remake, the first serving being brown old looking avocado (it looked near-black in the dim lighting, I held my iPhone light to it to find brown, aged bad avacado). The steak sashimi I will assume was cooked on a coal grill. It filled the pallet with an ash taste with its burned edges (and came out later into the meal cooking portion of the experience). Spicy tuna roll was alright. Thank you for the waitress getting us new guacamole. Overall 2/5, the cold beer and somewhat over cooked steak is for the 2. But am open to trying other options. It may be owned by the same people as Nakashima, but it sure isn't the same menus or great standard.

First off - where is this place?!? Yes, it LOOKS like you're going to the Swan Club, but the right…read moreside of it is Island Sushi, I promise. You get the option of sitting at the sushi conveyor belt or regular menu dining. Unless you can't eat more than 3 rolls or don't eat meat, I suggest AYCE because this was not like any CVB sushi I've ever done. The belt has limited items, most not really on the menu. Seaweed salad, calamari salad, spicy tuna on rice, shrimp tempura and pineapple on rice, tuna/salmon/shrimp nigiri, inari, cucumber salad. The odd items were the cold hibachi noodles alone, with white rice, or topped with a soft cooked soy sauce egg - tasted ok but not the type of noodles to be served cold. Also a bunch of dessert - mandarin oranges, navel orange slices, canned papaya medley, almond cookies, cream puffs, and chocolate roll cake. The revolving items were just ok. The best thing was the spicy tuna. Normally the revolving things suffer from drying out or off temperatures. While these were factors, they weren't a huge detractor. I'd say I was more disappointed they didn't have actual rolls on there or even more nigiri since those are easy to rapidly knock out. The best strategy is to use the belt as appetizers and order off the menu - all of which is included (well the sushi parts at least). We had a Krabby Patty, Black Dragon, Spicy Shrimp Popper, and the Rangoon Roll. They were good but nothing outstanding- the ingredients were fresh but the fish was either improperly frozen or improperly thawed because it was a little mealy or falling apart on the nigiri. The rice was probably the biggest issue, dry even though the rolls were prepared to order. A few other issues were no miso soup, a sushi staple, and there was a lot of confusion over whether or not they could do hot tea (they could after a bit of investigation). The staff was friendly and overall it was a fun experience. Would I go here for GOOD sushi? No. Would I go here when I'm starving or didn't really care what I ate and just wanted to have a fun experience? Yes. 3 stars for the experience overall but an extra star for cleanliness and the fact that it's CVB sushi in De Pere of all places.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. I will preface by saying it is more of an Americanized sushi,…read morewhich I like. I tend to stick to shrimp and crab rolls which they have many options for. I especially like their deep fried rolls. I have done the AYCE before, but like many others said, they put less popular rolls out on the belt. I'd rather order what I actually want. With that, I usually sit at a normal table and order a few rolls. I've been here over ten times and I've never had a bad service experience. I feel like they are pretty attentive. If you go here, you have to try the krabby patty roll. It's delicious.

We were seated shortly after our reservation. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and we were never wanting for anything. And at the end of our meal she even mentioned they were short staffed because of a recent winter storm. The owner was our chef. He was GREAT! Was fun watching him "perform" and got a kiddo in our party involved with cooking. Yes, as some previous review said, he sweated and wiped his brow on his sleeve.
