Came here on Valentine's Day, of course it was going to be busy and I already knew the food was going to take awhile, but they do the best they can. I highly recommend anyone to come here if they're looking for good sushi in Green Bay. If you want mediocre sushi, then go to the other places.

Their all you can eat deal is one of the best values in town for the sheer volume and variety of food you get. The menu handles the basics incredibly well, and the sushi is rolled fresh to order. The volcano roll and the local themed green bay roll are absolute must tries. both are loaded with flavor Their deal also includes apps and desserts. Their crab rangoons were perfectly crispy and the yakisoba had great flavor. The atmosphere was relaxed and the booth tables made it easy to share rolls with everyone. The service was very friendly and explained the menu and restaurant concept with us as this was our first visit. We did find the kitchen was a bit backed up during the lunch hour and found ordering a few rolls at a time easiest and having our next round of items ready when the previous rolls were delivered to the table. They do charge for excessive leftovers so order 1-2 rolls at time when people start getting full. Overall, it was an amazing spot for great portions, friendly servers, and a wide selection of rolls available.

The ambiance is great, nicely decorated, clean, large dining areas and we were seated in a booth, I'll always take a booth over a table when it's just two of us. The menu is large and everything is marked if it's raw, gluten free or spicy. When I read the descriptions of the rolls I noticed there is a lot of sameness, for the number of rolls they have, there isn't much diversity among them. The service, although friendly, is very slow. We waited a long time for drinks food, and to pay our check. I also noticed other diners frequently looking for our waitress. It also looked like there was only one person making sushi rolls and one bartender for a large restaurant during a Saturday dinner service. The food, we had a calamari appetizer, it was over cooked, dry and rubbery with no flavor, the dipping sauce was way too salty. Our rolls were equally disappointing, anything with tempura was way over cooked, the roll with raw tuna tastes too fishy, not fresh at all, more like it came out of a can. For the service and quality of food, it was way over priced. I don't recommend.

Often times with fusion spots, one cuisine is better than the other, but at Pho Lodge, everything was on point! They have very generous portions and we even had leftovers. We also each got the Tokyo Tea. The drink was their take on a long island but wasn't strong and came with a green color that was off-putting. We got a variety of sushi rolls to-go and chicken fried rice. Everything travelled well. Portions, roll size, and pricing were all very fair. I loved my Spicy Tempura Crab Roll! It has to be open, with its staff dancing around for a video. This place has good ambiance, however, the reviews were more than accurate. There is a chef that sings, pretty well I might say, and there's one chef that kinda can cook. Only 2 cooks, for a place of about 6 grills. His veggies were burnt, shrimp, rubber. But steak (ordered Med-rare) was Medium, got about half a portion of a full cut of steak. Compared to its sister location Nakashima of Appleton, the salad portion was smaller. Still good. However, the tuna Guacamole, was acceptable, after requesting a remake, the first serving being brown old looking avocado (it looked near-black in the dim lighting, I held my iPhone light to it to find brown, aged bad avacado). The steak sashimi I will assume was cooked on a coal grill. It filled the pallet with an ash taste with its burned edges (and came out later into the meal cooking portion of the experience). Spicy tuna roll was alright. Thank you for the waitress getting us new guacamole. Overall 2/5, the cold beer and somewhat over cooked steak is for the 2. But am open to trying other options. It may be owned by the same people as Nakashima, but it sure isn't the same menus or great standard.
