We chose the 1-hour massage and it was exactly what we needed. The therapist used deep, intentional pressure and really seemed to read my body. She focused on all the right areas without me having to say much. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and honestly fabulous. I didn't hear any complaints from the other table...Can't wait to come back!

This was, hands down, the worst "head spa" experience I have ever had, and I genuinely do not understand how this is being marketed as a Japanese head spa or why it is even listed that way on Google. It is absolutely not a Japanese head spa. The space is inside a Sola Salon, with four beds lined up right next to each other. There was no spa ambiance at all. It was cold, the blankets and towels were mismatched, and there was no spa music or calming environment. Nothing about the setup resembled a spa experience. The "halo" device that is supposed to provide continuous water flow was not functioning. It appeared to be just for show because she used a manual shower sprayer the entire time. This alone made the service feel misleading. Overall, the treatment felt like a glorified shampoo and conditioner session rather than a true scalp or head spa. The headrest was hard and uncomfortable, almost like a computer riser, and it made it difficult to relax. She claimed she had training in Japan and had been doing this for 26 years, but based on the service I received, that is extremely hard to believe. I have had authentic Japanese head spa services before, and they were exceptional. This experience did not resemble them in any way. When someone is not truthful about their training, it makes you question everything else. My scalp did not feel clean or rejuvenated afterward. My hair was soft, but that was likely because she used an excessive amount of conditioner. At one point, she even showed me a photo of her mother's receding hairline to warn me about using products with alcohol. Using her own mother as an example felt inappropriate and unprofessional. The service was overpriced for the quality and experience provided. The website and marketing do not match the reality of what you receive. The ambiance was lacking, the setup felt unprofessional, and the entire experience was uncomfortable. To top it off, the "halo" was not functioning at all and was essentially a prop. I do not like leaving bad reviews, but people deserve accurate information before booking. I hope this helps others avoid the same experience. Overall, this was not a Japanese head spa, not even a head spa in general. I highly do not recommend this place.

You can tell the therapists are true professionals who have put in the time to study their craft and really understand the body. Jeff and Byron are the bomb! Jeff worked through so many knots and areas of tension and took such a thoughtful, holistic approach rather than just going through the motions. He really listened to what my body needed and knew exactly where to focus. You can tell immediately that he has a ton of professional experience, knowledge, and education behind what he does. I left feeling such a noticeable difference in my body. If you're looking for someone who truly understands bodywork and takes their craft seriously, I highly recommend this place. I usually go to SugaringLA for Brazilian sugaring appointments, but I was looking for somewhere…read morecloser that could take me on Easter. I've had multiple sugar waxes before, and they normally take around 25-30 minutes max, which is why this experience stood out so much to me. This appointment took nearly an hour, was extremely painful, and the hair still wasn't fully removed by the end. Throughout the appointment, large amounts of sugar wax were left all over my skin. At one point, I had my knees to my chest and the wax was so sticky that my skin was literally sticking to itself. The wax had built up all over the technician's gloves to the point that she removed them completely and then continued touching me without gloves for the rest of the session. She kept reassuring me that she would "do it quickly" and that "everything would be okay," but the appointment only became more uncomfortable and painful as it went on. A day or two later, I developed a raised, intensely itchy rash and skin irritation that appears to be contact dermatitis in the area that has still not fully healed weeks later. I understand that irritation can sometimes happen after waxing, but this experience felt unhygienic, unprofessional, and far rougher than any sugaring appointment I've had before. Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this location based on my experience.
