I've been coming here for massages regularly over the past year. Coco used to give fantastic therapeutic massages -- she really knew what she was doing. But ever since Coco left a couple of months ago, I've been going to Helen, and honestly, she's amazing! Helen's Thai and deep tissue massages are on another level. She has a real gift for finding all the knots I have built up and working them out without it ever feeling too painful. I always walk out feeling like a brand-new person. Her technique is super precise, and you can tell she truly knows what she is doing and how to release tension in just the right way. She's strong, intuitive, and really pays attention to what you need even with the language barrier. All of this attention for a fair price. Got me coming back for monthly some times weekly reset that is much needed. Absolutely Worth it read more

Eva gave me the best massage! I told her my problem area she definitely went at it. She took my knots out and just rejuvenated my body. The room is just like other massage places. Its upstairs in the Plaza next to wells fargo. I had a groupon for couples massage for 140$ but i tipped her 20$ bc eva waa just that awesome. I can't wait to go again and definitely will ask for eva. read more

Used to be a go to Massage now it's just disturbing. It's diminished overtime. IMPORTANT READ!!! I came to this foot spa expecting relaxation but left with serious concerns for my health and safety. Let's get one thing straight--this business is more than just unsanitary, it's a health hazard. The massage? Mediocre at best. The language barrier? Manageable, but frustrating. What's truly disturbing is what I discovered in the bathroom: black mold, sludge, filth--call it whatever you want, but it's alarming. It's not just unsightly, it's a glaring danger to anyone stepping inside. If the bathroom looks like this, what does that say about the rest of the facility? How clean are the towels, the chairs, or the tools they use on customers? This goes beyond disappointment--it's a matter of public safety. San Diego Public Health Services and OSHA need to inspect this establishment immediately before someone gets seriously sick. I urge the business owner to take this review seriously and reach out to address these issues before it's too late. My health was put at risk, and that is unacceptable. This business needs a complete overhaul. Do better--for your customers, your staff, and your reputation. read more

I bought a Groupon awhile back. On the Groupon, it said Miramesa Massage but when you map it, it's this place. I called the morning off since I was already in the area and was able to get in right away since the lady mentioned they get busy in the afternoon. Leo was my masseur, and he did a great job! Kept checking on me to see if it was ok. I told him not too hard right off the beginning. Very different massage techniques that included some stretches. I haven't had a massage in a long time. I usually just go for chiropractor adjustments. Like the other reviews, they wait for you at the front and give you a tiny cup of water. Will check it out again in the future and maybe try their other services. read more

Aegean Massage - Prices (pic taken 8/10/23) - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

Horrendous. I called a head of time to schedule an appointment, I was told there's availability so I came excited. The lady in the front desk charged me and put me in a room and told me that someone will be with me in 5 minutes, however 30 minutes later no one came. I was laying there like an idiot for half an hour wasting my time. Do not go. Waste of time. Terrible. 0 stars. read more

Great massage! Cydia was my masseuse and did a wonderful job. We came as an entire family and had a wonderful experience! Best massage in San Diego so far! My wife had some pretty significant shoulder pain and we were thankfully able to receive a discount and she received a 90 minute session (so did I - why not) with "2 enhancements". Cupping, hot stones, stretching and a deep tissue later we both felt GREAT. The rooms were quiet, clean and the staff were terrific. English was not the primary language, google translate and some Chinese basic language skills are your friend. Be prepared for that. Keep your requests simple or use google for help. Great experience, some candy and a glass of water later and the best massage I've had in a long time. Also, the Banh Mi store below it is AMAZING and they have the best Vietnamese coffee in San Diego (or really coffee in San Diego period) I've had outside of SE Asia. Book a reservation! read more

My massage was good though my masseuse forgot about the stones until the end. I used a Groupon so was a good deal but I think for a higher quality massage or a specific style you may be better served elsewhere. That's said folks were very nice and it was clean. read more

Got a quality 60-minute body massage for $60. I feel rejuvenated after my visit! Aegean Spa is a lot bigger than it seems from the outside. It's also nicely decorated! Upon going inside, I was greeted by a miniature waterfall statue, soothing music, warm lighting and even a cute Pomeranian! This place has a relaxing and inviting environment. I called the same morning I got my massage, asking if they accept walk-ins or are by appointment only. They said they accommodate both so I asked if they had an opening for 2PM the same day and they scheduled me in. I got there early and was taken care of immediately. I was asked if I preferred a male or female massager, so I appreciated that. The massage room I was taken to was SUPER dark lol. It was almost off putting tbh but I carried on and got on the massage bed. I wish I got the name of my masseuse because she did AMAZING! Before she started, she asked if I wanted the massage soft, regular or hard. I opted for regular and thought she put it in the perfect amount of pressure everywhere. The $60 60-minute body massage covered pretty much everything: head, shoulder, neck, back, arms, hands, legs and even a foot massage! She used oil and her hands for this treatment (no stones or aromatherapy) but it was so relaxing. The stiff back I had when I first walked in was gone. After the massage, the masseuse waited for me at the reception area to give me water and offer some candy. I thought that was so sweet. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here and will DEFINITELY recommend! read more

I have had many massages and I know they all can be different as far as styles go. At this spa they definitely know how to go firm and manipulate your body in all sorts of ways. The ambiance is a little bare, but that doesn't really matter. The staff is very nice and the spa is clean. The prices are also good. My group and I definitely left laughing at the whole experience. It was a good massage and we got what we wanted out of it, however there was a lot of talking and door opening by the staff. Be prepared for someone to be on all fours on your back. read more

Pricing is great! One of the cheapest massages I've ever had... we did a couples massage for $100, then +tip ($130 total). However, the place seems a little sketch -- like one of those massage parlors that would do happy endings. They really got into massaging my buttock, which was the same for my husband, apparently. He said they rolled up his boxers and got pretty close to his balls... kinda hilarious, 'cause a little awkward of an experience! However, still a good massage for the both of us. And they had cupping as part of the experience, which is a first for me! So that was cool. read more

I had the best massage with Austin. His shiatsu massage, deep tissue massage, is very good. Hands down the best massage therapist I've ever experienced. It is not only relaxing, but he has a way of smoothing out the knots that will put you on cloud 9 when you're done and not as painfully rigorous as some inexperienced therapists make it. I highly recommend Austin, and having consistent appointments will improve athletic performance as well! read more

I had a 90-min massage today with Rose. It was amazing! One of the best massages I've had.

Bao, my masseur, was amazing. He gave me a good rub down. Once in a while, I tend to tense up. Bao gentle tapped me lightly to remind me to relax. Truly enjoyed my experience! The session was on Sept. 17, made my appointment the day before and requested for a male masseur. Note: - $2 fee for credit card - $35 for foot massage - $35 combo the day I had the massage - pay the fee before the session - I brought baby oil for smoother glide of a pair of hands sliding up and down my calves read more

I've been to Aegean a few times mostly after a back workout or when I've strained a muscle in my back like this week. No matter who I've had an appointment with, they've done a wonderful job dealing with my specific back issues. Whether I've needed specific attention to a sensitive lower back or looking for a more aggressive post workout massage, they have always listened and customized to what was needed. I've never had any issues with getting appointments even last minute and it's nice to be able to pay by credit card instead of the inconvenience of needing cash. Probably the most reliable spa I've been to in terms of consistent quality. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Aegean Massage provided me with the best massage I have ever had in my entire life. The massage therapist did such an amazing job breaking up all the lactic acid in my body, getting all the spots that needed knots worked out, and making me want to come back again. I have never had such a good deep tissue massage in my life, and I STRONGLY recommend trying this location if you need a massage, want to relax, enjoy a clean environment, and enjoy the hard work that the massage therapists do. My hands could never do such good work for an extended period of time, I'm highly impressed and will be coming back again. 10 out of 10 would recommend! read more

Did the couples massage... me and my fiancé are so satisfied... deep tissue was amazing. Hit all the sore spots!!! Nice !!!!

I got an appointment with Troy for a massage to treat a sprained hamstring and lingering pain from a rugby injury. Not only was the session incredibly effective, but Troy was also able to relieve a stubborn charlie horse that had been bothering me for days. His knowledge of sports-related injuries and targeted massage techniques made a huge difference in my recovery. I walked out feeling looser, more mobile, and with significantly less pain. Highly recommend Troy if you're dealing with muscle injuries or need serious relief! read more

If I give a 0 star I would. By far these worst and most PAINFUL experience I've ever had during a massage. First of all, the masseuse I had didn't speak English. So whenever I said go a little lighter, she would for a minute then continue to give it all she has. She yawned throughout the whole experience. Worst, the lady had nails that sometime scratched my back/leg. The second thing was they didn't have a pillow to rest my face. So while she was pressing my body with all her might, my face was jammed straight to a ROUGH paper towel laid on the HARD table. I'm a pretty strong bulky dude, but the most painful experience was when she grabbed my trap (muscle between my neck and shoulder) and started squeezing it as hard as possible. Actually as I'm writing that, I forgot another experience where in the first few minutes, she took out her phone and was just pressing her elbow on my back. However, while she's on her phone, she was jamming her elbow straight into my SPINE. Swear to God, if I didn't workout or if I was an elderly person, they would be dead. I walked down the stairs of their location more sore when I entered. Please DO NOT COME HERE. Like seriously. This place is more dangerous than relaxing. The people here are not trained. The location is terrible. read more

Been going there for some time . Recently this location has gone through an owners change . It seems to be still very good . The masseuses are of high caliber they are very good at deep tissue . The attention to detail is excellent . I always tip well and they are very appreciative . Ask April she is the manager and will get you situated . Suggest during the day is easier to get in gets busy in the evenings . read more

My daughter gifted me with a couples massage so both of us could have a girls day and celebrate our birthdays. It was her first time to receive a Professional massage and was our first time at this place. The guy at the front desk checked us in and then asked if we prefer male or female. My daughter chose female and I replied it didn't matter. We were brought to a couples room, my daughter had a female while I had the guy from the front desk. I was totally looking forward to this appointment as my neck and shoulders were tense and needed a good rub. Long story short, I was not happy at all with the massage. The guy massaged my back mostly with his elbow. I could hear him breathing in my ear while he was putting pressure. It was more painful than anything. I figured I'd let him massage away the knotts I had but it really didn't feel good. I've had other massages and felt like the masseuse was in tune with me. This guy definitely was not. My daughter asked how did I like the massage and the guy I had. She said she looked up to get a look at me and saw the guy texting on his phone while using his one arm to rub my back. I wish she would have said something right then and there as I could have addressed it with him. That's totally unacceptable for him to be on his phone. No wonder the massage he gave was crap! My daughter said she enjoyed how her lady massage every finger every toe. This guy didn't even touch my feet let alone any of my toes. I'm never going back to this place. Maybe it was just the guy that was horrible, but there are way better places to choose from. read more

Will 100% not return here. A group of us came in for a massage, and only 1 of us were somewhat satisfied with the massage. Atmosphere was ok, nothing to brag about. Friendly ladies but not professional. Parking was plenty & location is easily found. The best part about my 60 minutes massage was probably the 3 minute hot stone massage. Everything else was surface level, felt rushed, and not professional at all. My masseuse was on her PHONE & TEXTING while massaging my back. I could feel her texting & hear it. It didn't happen just once but 4 other times. Truly unbelievable The ladies were also talking to each other a lot so we couldn't fully relax. Definitely not my cup of tea and we will not be returning. Don't waste your time & money. read more

DO NOT GO HERE My first red flag should have been that the sign said "Aegean Foot Massage" , which was maybe the only enjoyable part of the experience- when they massaged my feet. Upon walking in, the room was freezing. I ignored this because we were the first massage of the day, with our appointment at the same time they opened. The room did not get any warmer. There was weird keyboard music playing that sounded like a child practicing "country roads" on piano. Odd choice. Not relaxing or spa like at all. The Groupon we got mentioned essential oils and hot stones which there was no trace of throughout our experience. We were led into our room, instructed to take our clothes off and lie face down. After waiting for a while, the masseurs finally came in. They talked to each other a lot throughout the whole massage and left the room multiple times to grab materials. - very unprepared and unprofessional. One of them kept burping during the massage. Gross. Their techniques were nonexistent. It felt like an aggressive back rub as they dug their elbows into our bones, causing more pain than relaxation. I'm unsure and honestly doubt that they have a license to practice massage therapy at all. Additionally, they left us both completely exposed. The tiny towels did not cover us adequately, and they did not bother to cover us as they went along, leaving our private areas exposed as they massaged us and led us into different stretches. They tugged my partner's boxers down for part of it leaving his cheeks open and leaving both of us to feel all around violated by the end of it. After all was said and done, we went to leave and they stood blocking the doorway asking for tips in very broken English. I said no, that I wasn't going to tip them, and they prodded me asking why. I responded that the massage was not good, the room was cold, and it was not a relaxing experience. They seemed upset, but I reached past them for the door and got out of there as fast as I could. read more

- under new owner:( never going back! A friend and I had an Aegean gift certificate for $100 for 60 min massage so we went there with an appointment. The girl upfront asked for show of our appt - I made it on the phone with someone answering it as hello not the name. Then she asked for the money upfront. I gave her the certificate and a 20 (now 60 instead of 50) and she took a picture of it and showed us to our rooms. After we were undressed in 2 rooms the girl knocked on each door to ask for cash or credit card because they couldn't accept the certificate as it was from old owners. We got dressed and said we were not happy, etc....obviously. We called another place and they said they would honor it. I was a regular for a few years and was never asked for money upfront and was always met with friendly faces. There is no longer a nice inside bathroom - had to go to one outside of place which was gross. Sorry for long review - if they wanted to keep our business they would have accepted the certificate. We will never go back. :( read more

I'm a frequent massage customer as I get one every week (for the past 23 years) and I have tried many places throughout San Diego. I choose this one because the massage therapists really know their anatomy and you get an excellent massage for a great price. The place is clean with a nice ambience. I'm quite picky, so, this review really reflects five stars. read more

Aegean Massage - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

Been coming here for a few years now with my girlfriends. Last week will be the very last time I would be coming here. Ever since the new owners took over, service has been horrible. They leave the door open, they answer phone calls in the middle of the massage, dirty damp towels were given to us a few times. Last week we had an appointment at 5 p.m. and the lady told my friend and I to go in the room. When we got there, two of the workers were sleeping on the massage bed with their shoes on. They looked at us like we were interrupting their sleep and they looked hella pissed. Got in the room and it was super hot. They had no AC in there so I asked to be moved to a different room. Again, they didn't look happy about that. After they moved us to a different room I thought that would be a lot better but it wasn't. The owner ended up doing my massage bec they had no worker for another 30 minutes to work on me even with an appoinment. She started working on me and it was horrible. She didn't know what she was doing at all. She was just doing it herself to kill time until the worker finished up with another client. This is the 4th time I've been here since they took over and this will be the last time also. I wanted to give them another chance but I just can't. I've already told my girlfriends about the experience and I will not be bringing them with me here either. I don't want to disappoint them. **Beware, they are also selling Groupon deals under Mira Mesa Massage. Don't buy the deal. You will regret it.** read more

The worst massage experience. We got a couples massage for our anniversary on Groupon but we should've spent more for a quality massage. It was rushed and it was obvious both of our masseuses either had no idea what they were doing or just didn't care and wanted to get it over with. Plus, left with my pretty bad rash on my shoulders since that was the focus for probably 45 min of the hour massage for some reason. Sketchy place and would not recommend, left more stressed than relaxed. read more

The Thai session was great by Lydia. She added just the right amount of pressure. She loosened my stiff neck.

I'm not one to do reviews but I had to come to leave one. By far the WORST experience ever! If I could give negative stars I would. To start I originally made a reservation 2 weeks ago for a Friday. I was coming from out of town for the weekend, as I was approaching I called to confirm my reservation and the guy told me he didn't have it. I told him I called on June 29th and he said that was to far back I should've called a few days before. One would think that booking in advance is the correct thing to do. So I then had to book for Sunday which delayed my travel time back home. When I walked in one of the ladies was asleep on the couch in the waiting area, and she was actually the one to massage me. I booked a couples massage and they wanted to separate us. So unorganized, my massage was delayed as they were trying to figure out what to do. The massage over all was HORRIBLE. Then at the end the lady had the nerve to tell me what to tip! I came across this place on Groupon and let me tell you.. NEVER AGAIN read more

Date of visit: December 24, 2018 Somehow, I had tweaked my knee over the weekend, and while driving around saw Aegean Spa and their deal for a $40 full body massage. Figuring the location looked safe enough - it's above Cali Baguette and it's facing Mira Mesa Blvd. - I decided to give myself an early Christmas present & treat myself to a deep tissue massage. The building interior looked clean, and I was thrown off a bit by the receptionist's pet Pomeranian on the counter (I also had to restrain myself from petting the pooch). I paid my $41 - a dollar extra for paying with a credit card - and once I was escorted into the booth, got comfortable on the massage table. While I didn't get my masseuse's name due to the language barrier, she did do a great job kneading my muscles with her hands and elbows. She even came back with a hot towel to wipe down the areas where she'd used oil (keep it clean - it was my back, shoulders, and the backs of my legs). And I even dozed off a couple of times during the massage session. So, clean massage room and a great massage... so why the 3-star review? Easy - remember how I mentioned earlier how she left the room to get a hot towel? Well, she left the room after popping my fingers and knuckles without a word... and she came back five minutes later to see if I was okay. Turns out the massage session was over, and she didn't even let me know! Awkward... While cheaper than where I normally go, and while they do take credit cards (not to mention having a rewards card where with 10 visits, you get one free massage), it'll be a while before I return! read more
