Trying out a new boba place at Santa Rosa Plaza! I looked them up and saw they were founded in 2019 in Silicon Valley. always nice to support a growing local business. The shop itself is super cute and pink, very aesthetic and fun. It is self service, they have large touch screen to order. I ordered the milk tea with 30% sugar and boba, and my husband got the jasmine green tea with tea jelly. The boba was chewy and cooked perfectly. The milk tea was good, but I didn't notice a big difference compared to other boba places. The jasmine green tea, though, was very refreshing, and the tea jelly was SO good! soft, smooth, and full of tea flavor. I actually liked the tea jelly a lot. Prices are about the same as other boba spots, but if you sign up, you get 15% off your first order, which is a nice perk. I have been to this place when it opened and had two drinks which were both really good (tiramisu matcha & mango coconut). I have been twice after and the drinks continue to be consistent. The service is always good but usually like to order the kiosk to make things faster and so I can look at the menu a little while longer. I wanted to update my review because of the last interaction I had. About a week ago I went in and got 2 drinks which I ordered on the kiosk. I waited for my drinks and they came out. The only thing is that when the handed me my drink it had lychee and I had pressed boba on the kiosk not lychee. I went back and told them my order was wrong and the woman in the front was very confrontational and just answered " no you chose that" I told her that maybe it was a mistake on the kiosk but it was a mistake I do not like lychee and wanted boba instead. She kept repeating " you chose that" and I finally got upset and pushed the drink twords her and told her that if she was unwilling to fix it that I wanted a refund. She finally offered to remake it but not before again repeating " you chose that". She remade it and I left. I was speaking to my mom about the interaction and she told me that she watched me press the boba option on the kiosk and it charged me 80 cents for it. The woman before me ordered the same drink as me and we thought maybe the lady mixed it up and just handed me the wrong drink. Either way the interaction was upsetting because I was not being rude or confrontational and I felt embarrassed by this lady speaking to me that way, it was so uncomfortable and unnecessary. read more

I feel like I got scammed at this place. I used to love this place when it first open. This place use to have nice and friendly staffs taking order at front. NOT ANYMORE. I recommended this place to friends and families, and now I feel bad. My family visited this place yesterday. Me , my husband, and my daughter were excited to get our drinks. The attitude of the girl who was taking order made me and my daughter changed our mind. Only my husband went for the drink. We went from 3 drinks to just one drink because of the attitude of the person who took order. She was acting like she hates her job. She wrote " how much sugar?" On her phone and showed to my husband and I while taking order. She didn't talk until I asked about the price differences. My husband ordered Tiramisu Match Latte. The menu showed the drink cost $5.95. The drink came out at $7.25. I asked the girl why the price looks odd. She told me because of taxes. 20% taxes or what? She doesn't know how much the drink costs before taxes. Then she told me and my husband " maybe the price went up " . The electronic menu screen literally showed $5.95. If the price went up then why don't go ahead and change it since the menu is electronic menu. I believe they should have the screen for self-order only. If a person standing in front taking orders and acting like almost out of battery robot then I rather order my drink on a screen. One star for the attitude. read more

Great addition to Santa Rosa's boba selection. Large selection of tea and fruit based drinks with specialty creations like mango sago, Dubai chocolate, strawberry matcha and other unique combos! Quality of the drinks and boba chew are already matching Bay Area expectations at week 3 of opening - woohoo UMe. Ordering is mostly self-service! Order online or at the tablet as others have said as staff are busy filling orders in the back. There was a line of customers a bit confused at the empty cashier until I spotted the iPad station hidden on the left. Some signage/QR codes could help indicate where to order and also explanations on the plushie/merch-based concept that customers asked staff about. Drinks can be ordered in a surprise plushie cup for +$4.50. The bottom of the paper cup is opened to reveal a small plushie. Tip: Finish the drink first or else the emptied bottom doesn't have good support. There are also other merchandise like scented cards and larger plushies. I'm not a labubu/merch girlie so 4/5 stars just because I come for boba and rather not get confused with these extra add-ons to a beverage menu. But I appreciate that it's a trendy concept. This is my new favorite place for boba tea in Santa Rosa. Ume has so many delicious drinks and some twists on classics. The staff are friendly and quick! My recommendation is the Mango Coconut Twilight. It is THE BEST. A good balance of sweetness from the coconut and the fresh mango. You can't go wrong with their Coco Mango! I love the sago pearls and the mix of pomelo, coconut, and mango is so delicious. Their regular milk teas and fruit teas are just as good! 10/10 would recommend coming here! read more

Ume Tea just opened inside the Santa Rosa plaza where Zero& used to be. Cute tea shop with a pink bunny theme. Ordering online was easy though the wait times are still about 15 mins on average. You can also order in store, make sure you ring the bell as all staff are in the back making drinks! I ordered the Coco mango and the Uji Strawberry Matcha Latte. Both were delicious and you can customize the sweetness, size, milk, ice, and toppings. I had a 15% coupon as a first time customer unfortunately it didn't take online. I looked closer and it has to be redeemed in person but I liked the convenience of online ordering so missed out on that! Good to see more bubble shops in town! read more

What a cute little tea/boba shop! It looks like they just opened and are just getting things going. The pink bunny theme is quite adorable and you can get your drink in a pink bunny cup! I tried their mango coconut twilight and quite enjoyed it. They use real coconut cream (?) and mangoes with jelly. I added custard so that added an interesting texture combo, still a very lovely flavor. There are multiple options so I'm going to have to go back and try other flavors. There seems to be only one (?) may two people working so the wait was a little long but not bad. You do order at a kiosk so be prepared, no one is steadily at the counter or register. read more

WOW THIS PLACE LIVES UP TO THE HYPE! They have their drinks locked down. must places during grand opening are a little rocky but they hit the ground running pumping out drinks all with attention to detail and all tasting amazing! our favorite are the mango coco and the mango twilight! their mango coconut sago i like even better than the big places in the bay area! the pistachio shake is good but very sweet so id get like 50 or 30%! watermelon passionfruit is super refreshing and made with fresh watermelon for those that like natural and not too sweet! the grape is very good too and I love the tea jelly with it! the brown sugar is also one of the best i've had I love the mochi with it i could go on forever! and the store is super cute with all the plushes around! great service great drinks go check them out read more

By far the best Tea shop I've had in the North Bay and a great addition to Santa Rosa. UME tea has a good selection of drinks ranging from Milk Teas & Fruit Teas, to yogurt drinks and coconut based drinks. You can adjust sweetness and ice level which is pretty standard at Tea shops and extremely useful! I will say I didn't see a milk alternative option for their milk teas but if you can handle the lactose then go all out!! Aside from that, they have a unique concept of a surprise cup! For what you pay, you get a decent sized surprise plushie inside the bottom of your cup. It's so cute and worth it. McDonald's could never~! I went back for their grand opening BOGO deals and I have to say service was good! I think the first day lines were pretty long but everyone still kept a good attitude.
