Trying out a new boba place at Santa Rosa Plaza! I looked them up and saw they were founded in 2019 in Silicon Valley. always nice to support a growing local business. The shop itself is super cute and pink, very aesthetic and fun. It is self service, they have large touch screen to order. I ordered the milk tea with 30% sugar and boba, and my husband got the jasmine green tea with tea jelly. The boba was chewy and cooked perfectly. The milk tea was good, but I didn't notice a big difference compared to other boba places. The jasmine green tea, though, was very refreshing, and the tea jelly was SO good! soft, smooth, and full of tea flavor. I actually liked the tea jelly a lot. Prices are about the same as other boba spots, but if you sign up, you get 15% off your first order, which is a nice perk. I'd definitely come back again! especially for the tea jelly option!

Great addition to Santa Rosa's boba selection. Large selection of tea and fruit based drinks with specialty creations like mango sago, Dubai chocolate, strawberry matcha and other unique combos! Quality of the drinks and boba chew are already matching Bay Area expectations at week 3 of opening - woohoo UMe. Ordering is mostly self-service! Order online or at the tablet as others have said as staff are busy filling orders in the back. There was a line of customers a bit confused at the empty cashier until I spotted the iPad station hidden on the left. Some signage/QR codes could help indicate where to order and also explanations on the plushie/merch-based concept that customers asked staff about. Drinks can be ordered in a surprise plushie cup for +$4.50. The bottom of the paper cup is opened to reveal a small plushie. Tip: Finish the drink first or else the emptied bottom doesn't have good support. There are also other merchandise like scented cards and larger plushies. I'm not a labubu/merch girlie so 4/5 stars just because I come for boba and rather not get confused with these extra add-ons to a beverage menu. But I appreciate that it's a trendy concept. This will be a frequent stop besides our usual Teaspoon, T4 or Happy Lemon!

This is my new favorite place for boba tea in Santa Rosa. Ume has so many delicious drinks and some twists on classics. The staff are friendly and quick! My recommendation is the Mango Coconut Twilight. It is THE BEST. A good balance of sweetness from the coconut and the fresh mango. You can't go wrong with their Coco Mango! I love the sago pearls and the mix of pomelo, coconut, and mango is so delicious. Their regular milk teas and fruit teas are just as good! 10/10 would recommend coming here!

YUMMY! I had a mango drink (can't recall its menu name) that had sago, coconut milk, coconut jelly, frozen mango and maybe some other delicious things. It was so good. Pricey, but worth it

Back for a second visit and it was just as good as the first! Tried the Tiramisu Matcha Latte and the Pistachio Dubai Chocolate Shake. Both were rich, creamy, and well balanced not overly sweet. Ordering isn't the fastest, especially when it's busy, but the drinks are made fresh and worth the wait. Solid spot inside Santa Rosa Plaza.

    Getting our drink.

this place is soooo pretty. I love it. and their drinks are dope and the people are friendly.

This new place in the plaza has a wide variety of options. You order through a kiosk. Service was a bit slow but the drink was really yummy with chunks of mango and coconut. Looking forward to trying some other items!

The boba drinks here are bomb! Everyone is also so sweet. Really cute place inside the mall.

UMeUji Matcha Mango Latte is really good. Highly recommended!!

I got Uji Matcha Mango Latte, which is really good. Got a surprise plushie and a cute bag as well.

My favorite drink place! I love the Mango Coconut Twilight. I'm so glad Ume opened in Santa Rosa. The staff is friendly and kind. You can order on the kiosk or with a barista. The surprise cups have cute plushies! The whole store is a cute overload. I really hope they bring the snacks to this location.

Ume Tea just opened inside the Santa Rosa plaza where Zero& used to be. Cute tea shop with a pink bunny theme. Ordering online was easy though the wait times are still about 15 mins on average. You can also order in store, make sure you ring the bell as all staff are in the back making drinks! I ordered the Coco mango and the Uji Strawberry Matcha Latte. Both were delicious and you can customize the sweetness, size, milk, ice, and toppings. I had a 15% coupon as a first time customer unfortunately it didn't take online. I looked closer and it has to be redeemed in person but I liked the convenience of online ordering so missed out on that! Good to see more bubble shops in town!

UMeMango Coconut Twilight yum. you can't see it but there's a marshmallow cloud on top..

What a cute little tea/boba shop! It looks like they just opened and are just getting things going. The pink bunny theme is quite adorable and you can get your drink in a pink bunny cup! I tried their mango coconut twilight and quite enjoyed it. They use real coconut cream (?) and mangoes with jelly. I added custard so that added an interesting texture combo, still a very lovely flavor. There are multiple options so I'm going to have to go back and try other flavors. There seems to be only one (?) may two people working so the wait was a little long but not bad. You do order at a kiosk so be prepared, no one is steadily at the counter or register.

WOW THIS PLACE LIVES UP TO THE HYPE! They have their drinks locked down. must places during grand opening are a little rocky but they hit the ground running pumping out drinks all with attention to detail and all tasting amazing! our favorite are the mango coco and the mango twilight! their mango coconut sago i like even better than the big places in the bay area! the pistachio shake is good but very sweet so id get like 50 or 30%! watermelon passionfruit is super refreshing and made with fresh watermelon for those that like natural and not too sweet! the grape is very good too and I love the tea jelly with it! the brown sugar is also one of the best i've had I love the mochi with it i could go on forever! and the store is super cute with all the plushes around! great service great drinks go check them out

I used the self-service touchscreen to order, but a staff member checked in to make sure I didn't have any questions, which was very thoughtful. The place itself is spacious, clean, and bright. The menu is simple and easy to understand, and I like that you can build your own drink. I ordered a classic milk tea with coffee jelly, 25% sugar, and less ice. Unfortunately, the drink was about a 4/10 for me. It didn't have much tea flavor and tasted pretty watery. I was hoping for a stronger tea taste, and even at 25% sugar, it was still quite sweet. That said, the service really stood out. I asked them to double-check the sugar level because it tasted so sweet, and they kindly offered to add more tea to my drink. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Overall, unless I'm really craving tea with boba or toppings, I'm not sure if I would come back, but the service is definitely a 10/10.

But we got our drink to go for our road trip. Plenty of mall parking, way safer than the parking near Costco! Service - Counter service. Price - $9; because she added boba. Expensive, but seems like the going rate for boba now. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2023 and your company (franchise) success with so many locations.

The BBQ pork was shredded, which felt like a cost-cutting move on protein. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting for the price point. I was seated outside with my dog on a busy, loud street. I ordered a bánh mì sandwich by number. Our server came back mid-order to ask about rice or noodles, which I assumed was a clarifying question about my mom's vegetarian soup, as both dishes contained tofu. When the food arrived, I received lemongrass tofu and not what I ordered. I flagged it immediately. The server acknowledged the confusion but then returned to inform me that the owner, who was off-site and being reached by phone, was requiring me to pay for the wrong dish regardless. This is apparently their policy: if an order is made in error, the customer is still responsible for the cost. I asked to speak with the owner or an on-site manager. Both requests were denied. What I was told next genuinely shocked me: the server mentioned that the cost of the wrong dish would be split between the kitchen and serving staff. These employees were willing to cover a mistake out of their own pockets rather than push back on the owner. The server was visibly uncomfortable throughout the entire interaction. To be clear: the staff were kind and doing their best under what appeared to be a stressful and unfair working environment. This is a management issue, not a staff issue. If you dine here, confirm your order carefully, especially if seated outside where it's loud. And know that if the restaurant gets your order wrong, their policy may hold you responsible for it.

I have often accidentally ordered tea with cheese foam, because Happy Lemon also offers milk-free tea options. Pros: I love salted cheese foam, and Happy Lemon delivers on it! Their milk teas with salted cheese foam are amazing. I've also had the taro milk tea with salted mochi in it, which has a very creamy texture and a great combination of saltiness and sweetness. I have also had the strawberry matcha smoothie, which I also enjoyed. The counter tends to be busy whenever I go, but the staff is always trying their best and they are helpful. Another great thing about Happy Lemon is that they never charge you extra for ordering drinks without ice. There are also no issues with parking since Happy Lemon is located directly in the Santa Rosa Plaza Mall, where there are parking garages close by. Cons: The tapioca tends to be undercooked, so the texture is often stiff instead of chewy. The drinks are too sweet for my liking, and this is coming from someone who has a sweet tooth. I've ordered drinks at 75% sweetness before like I do at other tea shops, but when I ordered from Happy Lemon, the drink was so sweet that I felt extremely sick and had to add some water at home to dilute the taste. This is because Happy Lemon adds an unbelievable amount of sugar to their tapioca and jellies. If you plan on ordering a drink with tapioca and grass jellies, consider getting 0~25% sweetness. I've been ordering at 0% sweetness lately. Depending on the time and day, Happy Lemon tends to get busy, but I haven't experienced any long lines. One way I feel that they could cut down lines is having a self-service device, but unlike other Happy Lemon stores, the Santa Rosa Plaza Mall location does not have one. I asked the staff about it and they said that they don't have one because of concerns about theft. Overall: Happy Lemon's service is great, and having salted cheese foam is a plus in my book! However, their drinks are extremely sweet, and probably much more sugary than any other milk tea shop I've been to. Consider ordering 0~25% sweetness if you add tapioca or jellies. I have not ordered anything else from Happy Lemon, so I can't comment on them, but I would like to try the egg puff waffle someday.
