Glad I made the change from a previous company. Oil prices are fair and reasonable, pretty much what it is based on market pricing anywhere you go. I was happy to come here because I need a full service oil company. I have not had any issues with their services that I needed. Last February they installed an new oil tank. The previous tank lasted since 10/1/1966. This finally solved a hot water issue that never got resolved with two oil companies.

Same day they had to come back, no heat, they claimed vapor lock in oil line. So I guess at the very least if was not even checked to see if it was running. I was not there, we let them in, I can only see from cameras and Nest thermostat. I live in California. So no one has been there for months. I can monitor the heat, but I could not monitor all the oil that was flying all over the place and into the ducts and insulation. It was a mess. We arrive at the house to find it smelling of heating oil. I found oil all over the floor and called. They did send someone out. He told me the O-ring for the jet needed to be replaced. It had been blowing oil ALL winter long, ducts were full of oil. It was a mess. He came on Friday and told me someone will contact me on Monday. He said it would take a day to clean up all the oil and is not covered by maintenance agreement. NO one called me after that. I ran to the store and bought bags of kitty littler. Picked up a lot but it was soaked in everywhere. I tried hot water and Landry soup and wet vacuum. I think at least 500 gallons over and over. By the 3rd day realize it was never going to be gone in any reasonable time. We were all having headaches from the fumes. We decided to replace the whole unit with a propane burner. It was faster and we could replace the lower ducts and insulation that was soaked in oil. I am over heating oil. Cost us 14 thousand dollars but at least I know it's done right. We still have the oil water heater but I would never trust you guys to service that one. It is only a few years old. I wrote them a letter, they said they did not know when it happened and it was our fault for not knowing sooner. In conclusion their service guy told me those O-rings go bad all the time, if that is the case why did they not replace it as part of the service. I would have never wrote this review, all I asked for was our service money back and an apology, I did not receive either one.

I heard a hissing noise, which I followed and I'll be darned, there was water on the basement floor, which I traced to have been coming from the hot water heater. Panic mode set in. I called a local repair guy and he couldn't come until Sunday. NG. My first call was to Ferguson's plumbing Supply (formerly Blackman's), told them what the problem was, gave them all the specs about my water tank and they said they had it but they were closing at 12 noon. Made several phone calls, and they either went into voice mail or they couldn't be bothered. The main reason was that I was providing my own water tank. Less money to be made. Somebody that was not readily available, recommended Anthony from APV Mechanical. He called me, I told him my predicament and we agreed on a price. He gave me a time frame and his people showed up as promised. After I had agreed with Anthony to do the job, received several phone calls, and when I told them I already had someone, they underbid him by a couple hundred but I had promised Anthony that no matter what, he had the job. Ran like a maniac and purchased the WH, and Anthony and his people installed it in less than 3 hours, and my life went back to normal. Anthony and his people were very considerate, honest, efficient, very affordable, and pretty clean as his crew made sure that all the water was gone and ensure that both, my boiler and hot water heater were working. Based on my experience with Anthony and his company, I would recommend him, no questions asked.

Anthony happily took my money but when it came to the repairs he was nowhere to be found. I've had to have other companies come in and fix his poorly installed work on several occasions because he is unwilling to stand by his warranty. Spend a little more and get someone who knows what they're doing. I have spent double the cost fixing his numerous mistakes and spent an entire summer without air conditioning waiting for him to make repairs. Trust me, run, don't walk away.
