I called Total Comfort Control because my heating unit went off intermittently. They sent a technician, who performed two repairs in 1.5 hours: reconnecting an intake hose and greasing the inducer fan bearings. The next day, I had the same problem with the heating going off on a daily basis. I called Total Comfort and they said I may need a new inducer fan assembly which would cost about $900 + labor, but they did not provide a written estimate for over a month. I called a different company for service. The technician from the other company discovered that the intake hose was NOT reconnected. Once he reconnected the intake hose and made sure it would stay connected, my heating unit worked fine! That was a month ago. I have had no further problems with this unit. I did not need a new inducer fan assembly. I will not call Total Comfort again. I was very disappointed with their service. read more

Called Total Comfort as they serviced my A/C unit 4 years ago, but had no record of it, even though I had an invoice from them. They came out, were here about 45 minutes, told me he knew what it was, fixed it. My A/C unit was making a noise after it shut off. Wrote on my invoice "no noise", even though he never ran it to actually not hear a noise and I was charged $154.00. I figured he knew what he was doing. Next day I run the A/C unit and the noise was still there. Called them back, as on their invoice it states "all labor performed is warrantied for 30 days." Said they would send some one back out. I received a phone call two days later, which was fine, and spoke with same person that came out to fix the A/C a few days ago. I asked if I would be charged again for him coming out to fix the same problem that he told me was fixed when he left the first time, and he said, "yes" I am going to charge you. I asked why? You didn't fix it to begin with. Was told I would still be charged. I told him not to bother coming back. He said ok and that was it. No phone calls back or anything! So I was ripped off by this company as they don't stand by their warranty. read more
