Organic Tofu Rice & Cabbage Bowl
Cindy C.

So good! Fresh ingredients, tastes homemade and healthy! Love it! So glad to have this healthy lunch option. I ordered the Tofu bowl with cabbage, lemon garlic soy sauce and the chili oil crunch. I like that they use paper bags and boxes. No plastic. Love the hand-written thank you note! Will definitely order from here again.

Y'all, yes this is operating out of the ghost kitchen/ carryout place on Western. And, it's delicious! I ordered once on Uber eats and once for pickup. It's been delicious. I'm so happy to be able to order something with great protein and veggies nearby. They have followed my order notes and even took the time to thank me for on Uber. It's definitely a new regular spot.

Chicken Rice Bowl

Listen to me, if you're debating on whether to order here....DO IT NOW!!! I was in LA for a quick business trip and wanted something healthy. Umami Express did not fail. I ordered the chicken rice bowl, smoothie and chicken rice & cabbage bowl. All bowls were absolutely ahhhmazing. Very healthy, delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Everything was natural and made of quality products. Can't wait to order another bowl. This will now be my "go to" when I'm in LA, wanting something healthy. So enjoyable and appetizing!!!! Highly highly recommend. I was also very appreciative of the "Thank you" note on my takeout box. Truly fabulous!!!!!!

Tucked in!

Really good 치킨! The…read moreserver we had (I think it was the owner) was really attentive. This was my 3rd time there and the food and service always stood out. We always get the Bulgogi Fries (Fries with Cheese, Spicy Mayo, Jalapenos, a creamy salsa, onions, and LOTS of sweet bulgogi), and the Honey Garlic Wings. Also definitely recommend the original marinade or even plain (anything but boring). Seating is plentiful. Lunchtime is never too busy, which really surprised me. I love that they give us gloves. Alcohol is served too, so I think I'm gonna have to come back for a 회식 with my workplace.

I've eaten from there before. It's well cooked, juicy, with a good crunch, and light flavor. If you're gluten-free, like myself, you can only have two different sauces, and of course you have to pay for those separate. Not a fault, just an observation. Having any Sauce at all, is awesome... My complaint and withholding of a star is that The Only individual sized portions you can get is a chicken sandwich (I'm one of those dreaded * duh..duh..dunnnnn,* "Gluten-Free" peeps. After that the next size is half a chicken (to much for me to eat in a sitting.) and it Doesn't come with any sauces or sides. I'm not saying that's it's a bad price, for the amount and quality... It's absolutely fair. But an individual option, be it wings, tenders, something easy like that. Something comparable to the chicken sandwich, would be really appreciated. That's Star worthy to me. To add insult to a sour moment, I had to pay for parking... for only 3 to 4 minutes. While not truly a fault of the restaurant, it is a part of the experience, and should be noted. Lest others find themselves in a similar situation. And a final note. The manager was never anything but courteous and professional. He put up with my braty hangry behavior like a champ.

The atmosphere at Levant is another highlight it's remarkably peaceful, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed dining experience. The service was impressively fast without sacrificing quality, ensuring that everything arrived promptly and with a smile. Both times the waitstaff were strangely rude, like remarkably unfriendly, and hard to get a hold of. The entrees we ordered were oddly small portions, like bizarro small. It was cold, with all the doors open, and the music was so loud we could barely hear each other. I really wanted to like it, how nice to have a Lebanese place close to my house, and returned thinking maybe it was a fluke the first time.

Next came the main attraction: the Bossam Plate, featuring simmered and cooled pork belly sliced to perfection. When you wrap all the other ingredients together, they create the perfect bite. Just after the Bossam Plate hits the table, a bubbling cauldron of Kimchi JJigae (Kimchi Stew) follows behind just in time to help wash down the delectable bites of bossam. Don't forget to order some rice because you'll need something to soak up the stew which turns the rice into a whole meal by itself. The service was jovial and welcoming, and like other Korean establishments, they have a handy-dandy button that jolts the attention of every server working whenever you're in need of service. The small space is very cozy, just the way I like it when I'm visiting with my loved ones. They don't have an extensive menu, just the OG staple items, but I feel the taste has improved over the years. God and I drove all the way from South Bay, stuck in traffic for almost 1 1/2 hrs of this. Maybe this is the type of place you should dine in only?? Do not ever do take out here! The food in general was just ok. Nothing special and Kimchi soup was very salty. Threw all 3. Wow, what a waste of money. Very disappointing... I guess I won't be coming here ever again.

The shop is LOVELY! Pink everywhere, lovely set ups, it was a dream! The tea we got was soooo good too! I got the Des Alizes and my friend got Paris for her. We asked for a side of cream and took our tea with one sugar lump. It was fantastic. The three tier stand of scones and finger sandwiches were super yummy too. We went with the Rose Tea set - came with 3 finger sandwiches, 2 scones and desserts. The desserts amd scones were good, but of those 3 finger sandwiches, my favorite was the cucumber dill sandwich. Second was the smoked salmon. Didn't very much care for the egg one. I will definitely be coming back with all females I know in my life! I highly recommend, such a fun time!

The whole decor is cute with pink and white being the main motif of the tea room which is a stark difference from the plaza just outside. The dishware and tea sets are all so cute and the teas? Plenty of options. My wife and I tried out the pear and hibiscus teas respectively and they were just right: not too sweet. The sandwiches were great with slight asian influences to them. The pastries were my favorite though, nothing like a scone with butter and jam to go with your tea. Anyway, great teas, great food, great vibes, and great prices. What more do you need? A reservation? Yeah I suppose that helps too hah!
