Did someone eat half of my bowl?
Lena M.

I think I had the same experience as some of the others here. I wish I would have checked Yelp before ordering. The bowl was half empty with only a couple of pieces of chicken. I paid $2 extra for cucumber salad and it was about 4 sad pieces of cucumber on top. The flavor was good but everything was kinda swimming in what I'm assuming was kimchi juice. I chose kale for my base and it was very minimal. I ended up adding cabbage, avocado and carrots at home so it would actually be a meal. Great concept for a restaurant but very sub-par execution.

avocado bulgogi bowl: delicious and filling!
Josh B.

Great meal! Ordered the Avocado Bulgogi bowl which was delicious and super filling. Never thought to have avocado with bulgogi but I'll admit it was a great pairing. Can't wait to try some of the other options here!

Jessica H.

Very yummy bowl with many different flavors. I loved the attention to detail with the shredded seaweed and vegan bulgogi. It was also seasoned well. I'm grateful they have vegan options. The dumplings were also delicious. Pricey though

5 like always! Is good to be at home with this delicious meal! And yes I get extra spicy mayo! Is so goooooooood! And chicken I'm in love with this new seasoning!

I 'door-dashed' this spot because it's presumably healthy and I've been needing kimchi for gut issues but tonight my bowl arrived with raw chicken.

Kiley M.

Ordering here for the first time because of the Grubhub coupon. The bowl had a good amount of chicken, but I wish there was more sauce. Like others have mentioned the bowl is a bit bland and needs to be sauced up, since the side ingredients aren't really seasoned. Chicken/rice is warm but everything else is cold/room temp. Veggies needs more seasoning. I'm giving 3 stars because they have my order right, and portion is alright. There is still a lot more room for improvement.

I've been on the hunt for good oven roasted chicken because the Ktown area is mostly fried chicken, and I've tried so many places, but nothing compares to this spot. The wings are always so fresh, perfectly crunchy, subtly spicy, and they don't leave you with that greasy, heavy feeling afterward. You can genuinely taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I've already raved about these wings to so many friends, and even my friend from out of town who I had try when visiting, said she now craves them! They seriously deserve all the flowers. It was such an unforgettable and refreshing experience. Chef Anita has such a vision. Every detail was well thought of, from the outdoor patio dining surrounded by olive bushes to the indoor wooden and oak touches with Fairouz playing overhead. What's even better is EVERY single dish is labelled clearly for allergy diners! AHHHH as a nut allergy girly this had me geekin. All the celiac diners can enjoy their dining experience without any triggering fears as well. I went with their famous Lebanese egg pie and my friend got the grilled salmon plate. We shared the ful mudammas, my fave dish. The gluten-free pita bread def changed my brain wiring. I don't enjoy gluten-free food, and I was drooling. The pita was pillow soft, like how do you do that? Magic, I tell you. The egg pie was SO special. Pillow soft as well and super filling. The flavors of every dish were legendary. We couldn't stop talking about the colors, the plating, the top tier service. Everything about Levant deserves to be raved about. Come one come all. Def coming to Levant next time I'm in Echo Park.

We arrived midday on a Sunday and we're promptly sat, having been given the option for patio or indoor. We chose the patio, and between the clematis, lantana, and olive trees it is a very lovely setting in which to enjoy a meal. We were promptly brought a bottle of cold water and glasses, and our beverage orders were taken. I had a honey lavender latte with oat milk, and my husband had Lebanese coffee (no milk no sugar.) my latte was fragrant, the perfect temperature, and just the right amount of sweet. The Lebanese coffee was smooth, floral without being perfume, and excellent. We started with the falafel and the batata harra. Both absolutely excellent. For our entrees we selected the shakshuka and the Lebanese egg pie. Both were also excellent. Everything was well cooked, well presented, flavorful without being overwhelmed by any component. We took home a baklava tart, because we simply did not have the ability to eat more at the table. It was tender, moist, not too sweet, the pistachio flavor coming through as nutty and grassy, seriously so good! And it's worth noting, this whole restaurant is gluten free. I would not have realised if I had not known ahead of time. The texture of the pita with the shakshuka was exactly what one would expect, as was the bread of the egg pie. The pastry of the tart was flakey and delicious. And having said all of that, the service is what puts it above and beyond. Everyone was warm and pleasant, and seemed to genuinely appreciate the compliments. Staff seemed like they liked their jobs, which for me is always a good sign.

We got the large bossam platter, kimchi jeon, bindae tteok, and mandoo guk. There was 5 of us and it was a lot of food. We had quite a bit of leftovers. Bossam platter was great, the meat was tender. I really enjoyed eating it with the radish wrap. It didn't feel greasy at all. Paired with the mandoo guk to take a break from bossam was the best. Service wise, we did hit the button for a server and it took a bit for them to come help us. It was a bit busy and we were in no rush. Service was never that superb here, as the servers always looked busy and they're hard to flag down. Today was a busy night for them as well, we came at peak dinner time, but by 20 mins into our dinner, quite a few tables had cleared up. It seemed like they only had 2 servers on the floor - same ones I see when we come in for lunch. The taller gentleman is usually nicer and more accommodating. For a group of 6 people, we got so little banchan. Usually when I go to a Korean restaurant with more than 5 people, we usually get 2 sets of banchan for each side of the table. With 6 people, 4 guys, we ran out of banchan almost immediately. Some of my friends' water cups stayed empty unless we asked for more. Never once did either of the servers check on our table. Every time we needed something, we had to flag them down or go up to the register to ask. Things we asked for were all reasonable: 1st round: - water refill 2nd round: - water refill - banchan refill - another order of soju - sharing bowls for the soup When the other server had brought over the bowls for the soup, he slid it against my soju cup and it spilled on the table and my lap. He noticed it too even turned around, but didn't offer any napkins. Our water refill, banchan AND the bottle of soju never came. I had to get up and ask for extra napkins to wipe the table/my jeans. My friends went almost the entire meal w.o water - at one point, it was SO hard to find & flag them down. We gave up on trying to get more banchan & soju, finally got water refill at the end, had to flag down for check, had to go up to the register to have them close the check, by this time the restaurant was maybe 50-60% empty. I'm giving them a higher rating because this is still my favorite bossam and doenjjang jjigae. However, very bummed to have experienced such an unpleasant service.

The smoked salmon sandwich was probably my favorite of the savory bites. The desserts were pretty, sweet, and fit the whimsical princess tea-room aesthetic well. Nothing was overly adventurous or fusion-y, but everything felt thoughtfully prepared for an elevated afternoon tea experience. The portions were surprisingly filling by the end too! Price: Rose & Blanc is one of the more approachable afternoon tea experiences in Los Angeles. Their standard tea service starts around $38 per person, while the more elaborate tea set runs about $50 per person and includes additional stuff. Given how expensive high tea can get around LA, the pricing feels fairly reasonable, especially for special occasions like birthdays, bridal showers, or catching up with friends. Ambiance: The ambiance is probably the biggest draw here. The entire space is decorated in soft baby pink with floral accents, chandeliers, vintage-inspired décor, and elegant table settings. It feels feminine, charming (not tacky at all!) and intentionally designed for celebrations, and of course Instagram photos. Despite being located upstairs in a bustling Koreatown plaza, once you're inside it feels surprisingly cozy and transported from the busy city outside. Service: Service was friendly and attentive throughout the tea service. Staff checked in regularly, explained the tea sets, and kept things moving at a comfortable pace without making us feel rushed. Since tea service is reservation-based and served during designated seating times, everything felt organized and structured. Most servers spoke both English and Korean yay Parking: Parking is easier than expected for ktown. There's a self-parking structure available in the building, though spaces can fill up quickly during popular tea times and special events. I'd still recommend arriving a little early to secure a spot.

Great teas and little finger sandwiches and pastries all at an affordable price of $30-50ish per person (vs. some other places which may go upwards of like $60-100 per person). The whole decor is cute with pink and white being the main motif of the tea room which is a stark difference from the plaza just outside. The dishware and tea sets are all so cute and the teas? Plenty of options. My wife and I tried out the pear and hibiscus teas respectively and they were just right: not too sweet. The sandwiches were great with slight asian influences to them. The pastries were my favorite though, nothing like a scone with butter and jam to go with your tea. Anyway, great teas, great food, great vibes, and great prices. What more do you need? A reservation? Yeah I suppose that helps too hah!

A lot of them come in personal sizes or you can even do half and half of a pizza. That's different types of crusts and sauces so you can customize what you want too. My friend and I got the $7 draft modelos, a personal size Surf n Turf, and a Calzone. I thought everything was the perfect texture and flavor, with the crispy crust and right amount of sauce. The calzone had a little spice and came with a little side of kimchi, and the surf n turf had the "hash brown" crust that seemed to be made with sweet potato and went really well with the toppings. We went on a Saturday night but ended up being the only people in there for most of the night. I thought they were open late but they seemed to be closing early since it was so slow.
