Months later I can lift more than five pounds. I'm still using Riverside. The price is right -- comparable, I think, to drop off service. It is also excellent service. I have been a customer of this laundromat for over five years, but after my recent experience, I…read morewill never return. I brought in two expensive parkas for dry cleaning and they were returned with a strong, foul odor that absolutely was not there when I dropped them off. When I brought the issue to their attention, I was told to come back in two days. When I returned, the coats were still hanging on the same rack where they had been left two days earlier, still smelling terrible. It was obvious they had never even been sent out for re-cleaning. Over the next week and a half, I repeatedly called and was told they needed more time. Eventually, the coats were returned and the odor was finally gone. However, when I asked for a discount or some form of compensation for the inconvenience and the fact that they had caused the problem in the first place, the owner, Albert, simply insisted that "they got the smell out." When I pointed out that the coats were not dropped off smelling that way and that the problem was created by their service, he refused to take responsibility. The best he offered was a discount on a future service. After five years as a loyal customer, that was the extent of their customer service. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when they do. In this case, there was poor communication, a lack of accountability, and no effort to make things right. I won't be returning, and based on my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

This is a hole-in-the-wall laundromat. It's well-worn and it won't win any awards for cleanliness…read more Some of the machines are quirky but they get the job done. I have found the staff to be friendly despite what others have experienced. I'm usually here during off-peak hours so I haven't had any troubles finding open machines. At $4 and $6 the washers are right on par with what others in North Jersey charge. Best of all it's within walking distance of several watering holes and java joints, so explore the neighborhood between loads. I did get a kick out of the one reviewer who complained her clothes came out of the washing machine wet, as if it was some evil ploy to get her to spend money on a dryer. Is this what Yelp has become? Don't let a few critical reviews from the spoiled elite make you feel uneasy about stooping here to do your laundry. It's a freakin' laundromat! It may be low brow but sometimes you gotta live on the wild side.

Upon purchasing a new place in Union City and not really feeling the laundry area that comes in the basement, I figured to try a laundromat. Technically the one I settled on was 100 Laundromat on 33rd between New York and Bergenline. I shot a quick question thru Google Maps and received an instant reply. When I arrived, I dropped off almost a months worth of clothes (again, just moved, the bulk was mainly in boxes). The lady at this location could not have been nicer. She took my order, and told me it would be ready before 7:30. At 6:00 I got a text stating it was ready. Everything was to perfection, washed and folded and I was totally won over. I'd definitely come back and recommend this business to anyone and everyone.
