I found Rod's Cleaners through yelp reviews. I live in Union City and drive 15 min out of my way to get there when there are tons of other dry cleaners in my area. The service is worth it. The first time I went to Rod's I brought a white dress that had been ruined by wearing it immediately after getting a spray tan. When I picked it up it was spotless. He is amazing at getting out tough stains. He was able to get pomegranate juice out of an ivory lace gown. He cares about what he does and it shows. Service like that is hard to find and I'm so glad I found Rod's Cleaners. I'll never go anywhere else.

However, I can now say, not only do I highly recommend that you DO NOT use them, but that you let everyone you know they should stay away from them as well. Not only have they ruined multiple items with stains that appeared AFTER they were "cleaned" but they price gouge and rip you off for alterations that they don't even do correctly, including uneven hemming on sleeves and pants, and will tell you "maybe your arms are uneven (literally!?. The final straw was ruining a Loro Piana rain jacket by stripping the finish and ruining the cashmere lining. how do I know? I have a second LP jacket of the exact same material and it's even visible to the naked eye. Yet, when asked to simply replace the jacket, the refuse. They lied about "taking care of it" and that they committed to do the right thing. They promised multiple times to call and never did. When we told them we would bring the items in to show them, when were told we had to do it when THEY were available. On top of this, there are 4 others in my building alone with recent complaints like this about them as if this morning. Not only are we taking our business elsewhere, we will be filing a suit against them for the damages to our items. I would strongly recommend that if you've experienced similar treatment from Grace at Riverwalk Cleaners you do the same. Or, feel free to send me a massage and I can connect you with my attorney so we can add you to the lawsuit. We have them every opportunity to make things right, and at every opportunity, they chose a different path to hurt the customer. Not only is Grace dishonorable and untrustworthy by lying to you, but will try to blame you when she makes mistakes. You cannot trust her to do the right thing and no one wants to do business with people like that.

Upon purchasing a new place in Union City and not really feeling the laundry area that comes in the basement, I figured to try a laundromat. When I arrived, I dropped off almost a months worth of clothes (again, just moved, the bulk was mainly in boxes). The lady at this location could not have been nicer. She took my order, and told me it would be ready before 7:30. At 6:00 I got a text stating it was ready. Everything was to perfection, washed and folded and I was totally won over. I'd definitely come back and recommend this business to anyone and everyone.
