The rolling gate they designed and installed is beautiful and made of heavy material that should last for years. They installed a LiftMaster commercial unit to open and close the gate. we have had several issues with the lift master unit, but Greg has been there immediately to investigate them and fix them for us. His after installation service clearly is rated at 10 out of 10. One time I called because the gate was partially open and we couldn't figure out how to move it either direction, and he was there within 15 minutes of my caught Phone call. That's what you called. Real Service. I recommend ultra fencing, but might be hesitant to install another lift, master unit. read more

Our initial contact with this company was great when under original management. Now however, the business has been passed to the son Greg who appears to be in need of continued babysitting. We have requested three appointments for a bid to complete a fence line, and have been "NO SHOWED" on all three occasions! When I called the office the third time to determine if Greg was running Late, I was informed by Alison that she did not see an appointment and the owner was on another job. This review is way long overdue. I purchased white vinyl fencing from Ultra Fencing in 2005. Even though they are located in Redding, they helped me find someone who would deliver the fencing to my house for a minimal charge. The vinyl fencing still looks brand new after 19 years!!! All the cuts on the vinyl fencing were perfect too. We did all the labor ourselves installing the fencing. I can't believe it's been 19 years! I was very happy with the service and the vinyl fencing has withstood the test of time. Looks beautiful and I am very happy with my "forever" fence. read more

Can I just start out by saying that I love my two tone vinyl that I've had about three years now. In this last severe storm, a 2 x 4 came off of my dogs, side yard and cracked one of the fence caps. I went into the office to see if I could get another one, and they gladly accommodated me with the same cap and did not charge me . I was telling them that my gate was not closing (that is a different type of other than vinyl) . They called upon guys that were out in the field to stop over to check it and they fixed my gate for me just a few hours from the time I went into the office!! The customer service and the dedication of this family owned business overwhelms me! I cannot say enough about and the quality of their workmanship! Just read all of the one star terrible reviews and I was very surprised. I initially met with Ted, the owner of the company. I decided to give them a shot because I really liked the guy! His guys came out and it took them a week to finish, (this was a big job). I am a bit of a perfectionist and I do expect the job to be done as if I were doing it myself. I did find some issues that I wanted them to address and they did. They came out the next day to take care of me. The fence looks great, well worth the $ that my neighbors and I paid. My fence looks like a fortress, and I am happy that I went with the style I did. I would highly recommend Ted's business as he is a pleasant and easy guy to work with!!! read more

The initial estimate contact was positive so I had high hopes... It was only downhill from there. Could not get anyone to commit to a timeframe when installation would occur and we're finally give in less than 48 hours notice to prepare for our fence to be installed. The first day the framing was put up and was not what we were offered in our estimate so it had to be redone on day two. On day two they spent about 3 to 4 hours redoing their framing and then left. We got no notice that they were pulled from our job which is all we would have been looking for. I understand things come up but as a paying customer I would like to be involved in what is going on with my project. We had made it expressly clear that there were dogs involved and we needed to ensure that they couldn't get out to run into the road. We were promised to have a temporary fence installed where our gate was going to go while they worked on it. The day they left without notice, they also left us with no gate and no temporary fence. So that evening after work we had to go and put up a temporary fence to prevent any dogs from getting out. In the end it was nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone or to get anyone to seem to care about what we were unhappy with. Our gates were installed crooked and it looks like they rushed just to get done with our job so that we would quit looking over the work. The most contact I had with this company is when they were looking for a check. Fast forward to three months later and a good rainstorm and now our front gates will not closed because they were installed wrong to begin with. We will see how it is resolved once they come out but I do not have high hopes. Would not recommend this company. read more

Our fencing project was completed on June 27th, 2018. Other than a few small bumps in the road (wrong color when it arrived the first time, and took a little longer than expected, 3 months from deposit to completed work) we just couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of the beautiful fencing addition to our home. I must add, we are a repeat customer also. Ted and his crew worked fast and had the fence up in one day and we had to wait a week longer for the gate to arrive, don't know why, but, the important thing is it's all finished and the quality of the work is exceptional. Do not do business with Ultra Fencing. Took our deposit middle of April, did not complete the work until June 14th. They did inform us they were busy and short handed and it would be 4-6 weeks. We were ok with the wait, however there was zero communication after they received our deposit. Office does not answer phone or return calls. Ted the owner does not either. Were scheduled for the last week of May, no call, no show and communication about when they would complete the fence. The day they finished about half the fence, called my elderly Mom 7-8 times demanding payment or a lien would be slapped on the home. The next day the fence was done, received text requesting payment again. Then here is is two days later, calling Mom again. The check was mailed yesterday. The more me and my wife have to deal with our fence, the more I am ashamed we went with Ultra Fence. It has only been about 6 months from initial installation and I truly am disappointed with my decision to trust Ultra Fence to have the ability to install a half-decent, quality fence. Between the gate not being metal as quoted, how the gate is not square whatsoever (which should be something a fence company should be able to do with ease) and having the fence not even be attached to the posts in multiple locations brings me to the conclusion that anyone considering this company need look elsewhere or give fencing yourself a chance. If I had the option, and was less of a person as to not live with my mistakes, I would ask them to take it all down and either use someone else or build it myself. Not only is the quality of the fence poor, their so called "warranty" is a joke. IF you can even get someone to come out and fix any issue in a timely manner. Example: gate wouldn't close due to swelling (which is fine, that happens, its wood) but when you have pets that should remain in the yard with a gate that does not shut it causes issues; even more so when you call to have it fixed and have to wait 2 weeks with no response. Finally you have to call and demand it be fixed or you will call someone else to fix it and send them the bill. Fence issues aside, the quality of customer service with Ultra Fence is great....at first...this is where they get you. Very personable owner talks the talk but follow through is not there unless there is a bill to be paid. I didn't hear from anyone after the first quote for months then once the fence was done and there was money to be had, oh man I would get a call twice a day then. I get wanting to get paid who doesn't, but after all that we had to go through and the price we paid (which was way too much for the quality of work and product we got) was unbelievable. Only thing I can say positive is the two guys that did the work where very personable guys, quality wasn't good but they sure where nice...wish my fence was like there personality...nice.... Needless to say all the repairs that WILL need to be made I will be calling someone else or doing myself as waiting for anyone to fix it or fix it right will be a waste of time and not worth being disappointed all over again. read more

This company sold us a baby pool fence for $850 but when measured, didn't adequately assure it fit into the pre-set holes in the pool deck. When I called and asked for a fix, was told I needed to correct it myself and refused to set an appointment to come look at the problem. Follow up emails went ignored. I had to work with the parent company in Florida to finally get a baby pool fence that would provide safety. Will not recommend this company. read more

I have been asking Ted for over a year to repair some issues with the fence we had him install all most 2 years ago and some of those issues have not been corrected. The fence was 4 weeks late and was installed incorrectly, Ted and crew returned to finish the cleanup 3 weeks after stating they were done with the job and still left us a MESS to clean up. 14 months after the fence was installed Ted and crew corrected the major installation issues with the fence but did not correct a fence post and rail that are crooked in the front of the house as Ted stated he would. I have called the office about 10 times over the last 6 months to get this resolved, then out of the blue Ted called me about a month ago to tell me he would have the crew come by in a week or so and fix the 2 remaining issues. To date Ted and crew have not showed up at the house or called to schedule a date and time!!! We are having a vinyl patio cover installed at the house and we will not be using Ted as he has proven we are not valued customers of Him or Ultra Fence!!! Ultra Fence has not been good to me or my dogs!!!!.......please be careful if you use Ultra Fence. read more

I was extremely pleased with the fencing I received for around my pool area. The workers were pleasant and hard working. Ted (the owner) came out and discussed with myself and my husband the expectations of our project. He answered each and every question asked. Calls were always returned promptly. After the job was completed, we noticed a week later that the gate was rubbing which we thought was caused by the heat, expansion issue. I called the shop and they came out and took the gate and fixed it to eliminate the issue. I am VERY pleased with the look and design. I will not hesitate to recommend this business. BEWARE...We had a fence put up about 9 years ago and it had a life time warranty on the fence. We had some discolor on the fence and wanted Ted to come and look at it he never did. Called multiple times and he never did show up or return a call. This last week we had to take part of our fence out and we destroyed a post and a bottom rail. We went to get the pieces to replace them (we were going to pay was our fault not there's that we destroyed them) and the gal at the front desk said that Ken was not there and the other guy couldn't cut them. She said she would call back when Ken returned at 1. He never or she never returned the call. We call back the next day and ask what happened she said that he will be working for the next 2 weeks. So there again no customer service at all. We need to put the fence back on Monday of this next week after the other work is done and NO fence to put back. We will never purchase anything from this business again we will order it from somewhere not sure where but not from this place. Please be aware of this place they never return a call or take care of warranties. read more

We called Ultra Vinyl Fence to install our backyard fence as first time home owners. They did a horrible job on the fence leaving screws poking about a quarter of an inch out of the wood, damaged our property, and never returned our calls to fix what they did. First of all Ted, the owner made me very uncomfortable. Wants to constantly hug or touch you. Second they cannot follow instructions and their contract says premium wood used. After only 4 yrs I have a rotted out 4x4 post and found they did not use pressure treated wood for the bottom piece that was to be an added weed prevention. It is also rotted out. After numerous calls trying to get them to come out and take a look they finally came out today only after I told them I was going to post a review. Ted was quite curt and started yelling at me saying I threatened his wife by saying I was going to post a review. I said that it's not a threat it's a promise. So here it is!!! He also said some derogatory remarks about me. I am a 64 yr old woman about 5' tall. He towers over me. I felt very threatened with his demeanor. All I wanted was him to look at his work and explain why it did what it did. He came with an attitude and left with an even bigger one. If you want quality work...do NOT go here!!! I marked the 1 star because that was the lowest. It should be a minus 5!!! Horrible, horrible company to work with.
