They had an opening from a cancellation on Tuesday morning, so I took that opening, and I was able to drop my car off on Monday evening. There is a key lockbox, and the the exterior has cameras all around for security. They finished the work about 6 hours before the estimated time (I was told evening, and it was done about noon on Thursday). However window tinting is not something you should wait around for, so drop it off. I did wait for my car because it didn't bother me. The service was fast and the work was done right. They offer a Life time warranty against bubbling, purple color changes, and their work. I struggled with the percentage of tint, but ultimately went with the 35% carbon fiber Suntek all around. I scheduled an appointment to remove the 7-year-old tint from my back window because it had started bubbling up (I guess that is normal for old tint). I arrived at the shop on a Saturday morning at 9 am, expecting to be served promptly. However, I and another vehicle waited outside until well after 9:30 am, as no one was at the shop. Meanwhile, I received texts confirming my appointment, but the employee was nowhere to be found. Finally, sometime after 9:30 am, an employee arrived to open the shop. He started working on removing the tint and servicing the other customer. I was out of the shop by 11:45 am, but the new tint that was installed had small bubble spots and an area that looked like there was a crease in it. I felt that the job had been rushed and poorly executed. I emailed Tint Pros about the issues and sent them pictures. They agreed to fix it. After the second attempt, I thought the tint was perfect, but days later, I noticed the same problems. The crease area was still present, just a little smaller, along with a few new spots. Again, they agreed to fix it. Now after the 3rd try, the small bubble looking spots are still there. You can only see them from outside of the window, but I give up. After this experience I'll continue to go to Blackout and spend the extra money for a better, more professional experience, where the tint is done right the first time. She has had the car for a little over a year and has done an amazing job maintaining it. Recently, she expressed interest in getting her front two windows tinted, so we decided to use ILLIE Tints. Unfortunately, the experience was less than favorable. We were promised a 45-minute completion time and assured that we would receive a text or phone call once the service was complete. Instead, the process took two hours, and we never received a call or text notifying us that the vehicle was ready. I understand that this is a service-based business and that completion times can vary depending on how busy the shop is. However, the lack of communication was unacceptable. I literally had to return to the shop myself just to find out whether the car was finished. When we received the vehicle back, we immediately noticed that one of the door panels was discolored. Not once did anyone mention that an accident had occurred or that any damage had been done to the panel during the service. As soon as I noticed the discoloration, I returned to the shop to speak with the ownership. At that point, I was told, "Oh, don't worry about that. It's just from the water getting on the panel during the service. Just wipe it down." The ownership then proceeded to suggest a few products I could use to try to remove the discoloration THEY had caused. Not once did they take accountability, offer to fix the issue, or even apologize for the mishap. Instead, I felt completely dismissed. They took my payment and sent us on our way without showing any concern for the damage to the vehicle. If you're looking for poor communication, disappointing customer service, and the possibility of having your property damaged with no accountability afterward, then by all means, go to ILLIE Tints.
