I scheduled an appointment to remove the 7-year-old tint from my back window because it had started bubbling up (I guess that is normal for old tint). I arrived at the shop on a Saturday morning at 9 am, expecting to be served promptly. However, I and another vehicle waited outside until well after 9:30 am, as no one was at the shop. Meanwhile, I received texts confirming my appointment, but the employee was nowhere to be found. Finally, sometime after 9:30 am, an employee arrived to open the shop. He started working on removing the tint and servicing the other customer. I was out of the shop by 11:45 am, but the new tint that was installed had small bubble spots and an area that looked like there was a crease in it. I felt that the job had been rushed and poorly executed. I emailed Tint Pros about the issues and sent them pictures. They agreed to fix it. After the second attempt, I thought the tint was perfect, but days later, I noticed the same problems. The crease area was still present, just a little smaller, along with a few new spots. Again, they agreed to fix it. Now after the 3rd try, the small bubble looking spots are still there. You can only see them from outside of the window, but I give up. After this experience I'll continue to go to Blackout and spend the extra money for a better, more professional experience, where the tint is done right the first time. The owner at Solos Glass (Jorge) was the first to explain the necessary recalibration process for the safety features on my vehicle and answered all my questions easily. He also had a very honest and transparent pricing quote. I went with a Nissan OEM windshield and recalibration, he ordered the windshield and had it ready to install within 2 days. My husband took it in and talked to Jorge while he waited and he found him super knowledgeable and friendly. Also ended up saving $100 over his initial quote. The business was small, but warm and friendly and he told me to pop in whenever and he could write up an estimate and deal with Progressive even though they are not one of Progressive's providers. I was very lucky to get my car in within a couple days because of all the flooding, auto repair shops were jammed. They kept in touch by email and phone to let me know the status. They had my car for about 15 days because they had to order parts as some were not repairable and also they are not open Saturdays or Sundays. When we did go to pick up my car, the work was fantastic, even better than I thought it could look. I was happy to support a family owned small business.
