I told him the multiple bids I was getting and we agreed on one price which was just a little higher then other bids, but I had a good vibe/plus I liked the reviews. Nonetheless the day before we text about the details and he went up over a $1000 dollars on what we agreed upon. I'm like really? I asked is there any wiggle room? Ans: No. Feeling stuck I confirmed you do take credit card? Ans: Yes, but it's at a 4% processing fee. However, because this is out of state job I need cash only half up front. I was furious and cancelled the deal. I was willing to do all the labor myself opposed to feeling like I was getting the bait and switch. We used Ultimate Movers this past weekend and were highly impressed with the service provided. The owner was prompt in replying with a quote, was clear in payment methods provided and gave all of the details without any pressure. The quote was off by about 2 hours, which was likely caused by myself forgetting to mention all of the items in the garage that needed to be moved. Even with the 2 hour overage, the movers were still professional and attentive to our belongings. Even more exciting, they were still affordable and far below any of the other quotes provided - including furniture wrapping! These folks hit it out of the park. I made an appointment for a Friday, Cool. On Tuesday, the company that was doing the interstate part of my move said there were weather problems, my stuff won't be there until Monday. Fine, I call, reschedual, all cool. Then FRIDAY MORNING they call and say, no, it is in fact already there, did we have someone ready to unload it? Well damn, I called them up, and they made it happen. I think with about a 5-hour turn around, I was meeting with Anthony and Pops at the terminal station that my trailer had been dropped off at. I cannot say enough good things about this company and my experience moving with them. The owner was very responsive and gave me several options for my move from Troy to Ann Arbor. I was a bit apprehensive to book movers with an hourly rate as I have had issues with other moving companies in the past when there was inclimate weather on the day of the move, and they had to pause for rain or snow, but the owner assured me that his movers would work through whatever weather came their way. They had some unforeseen issues with the truck I had booked the night before my move, but the owner called before they were scheduled to show up on the morning of the move letting me know that the movers might be coming a bit later than expected but that they would get the move done that day regardless. When the movers showed up, despite having worked until 3-4am the night before, they were consummate professionals. They moved everything I asked them to (including 2 TV's and 2 very large and delicate mirrors) and called whenever they had questions. Despite the fact that I was moving over an hour away and their truck couldn't go over 50 mph, they moved super quickly and were just so nice and accommodating throughout the entire experience. I have used movers for my last 5 moves, and this is the first time I have not had anything damaged or broken during the move. The final price was more than fair and they made me feel safe and secure throughout the entire process. I would recommend this company to anyone moving in the near or far future, and I will be using them again for all of my future moves. read more

Let me start out by saying that I actually never got to use their services. This review is about the reservation process. I set up a move 2 month prior to my actual move through Yelp messenger. I was directed to call Lloyd and we spoke. He confirmed my moving date and time. One month before, I called to confirm my moving day and Lloyd had no record of our conversation. After several hours, Lloyd got back to me and confirmed the time. Two weeks before my scheduled move, I used Yelp messenger to contact Lloyd as I was having difficulty with receiving my storage container in a timely manner. He was able to accommodate a reservation for the following day. Three days before my scheduled move, I again contact him regarding a small change. The message I received is that he would be no longer to keep my reservation as his truck would be in for maintenance. He did not call or email me to let me know that he was now unavailable. If I had not followed up myself, I would have been left high and dry. I politely thanked him for letting me know, even though without my diligence I would have been waiting for movers that would never arrived. I don't know about the quality of their moving team, but based on their reservation process, I would not use their services read more

I decided to go with this company because it had good reviews but my experience with them was not good. The movers broke my dressers that are apart of my bed. The SHOVED the drawers into the wrong sides crooked so they were sticking out so I tried pulling them out to put them in correctly and the barring's feel out on the floor. I contacted them and sent pictures the next day to inform them of the problem. I didn't get a response so I then called them the following day of sending the pictures. The owner told me to contact Andy one of the guys who did the actual moving and let him know. I contacted Andy and he said he would come out to see. He never came so I contacted him again and he said he would have to google the bed (because I wasn't sure the name brand of the bed) to see what he could do. It's been almost a month and still nobody has come to see or fix the problem. I called the owner today and he was "nasty" saying that when I pulled the drawers out I BROKE THE BARRING"S so I broke the drawers. I explained to him again that the drawers were shoved in to the wrong sides crooked and that his movers broke the drawers. He than started to raise his voice and get aggressive tell me what do you want to do. I said reimburse me some money for the broke dresser. He tried tell me he would give cents on the pounds of the dresser for the repair. I told him without the drawers the bed the bed is a hazard to my young toddlers. He the said send me your address again and I will send my DAD, not a handy man out to see it DON"T USE THIS COMPANY unless you don't value your belongings. read more

Ultimate Movers were great! Llyod answered right away when I called on a Saturday and got me all set up. He called to confirm the day before. I had an arrival window of 10a-11a and was given a 30 minute notice that they were on their way and they showed up at 1015a, right when they said they would! Anthony and Andy were super pleasant and didn't hesitate at all to find the best way to move all of my things from the 5th floor, even having to use the stairs for some items since my building elevator is pretty small and slow. These guys are, hands down, the BEST movers I've ever hired! I was able to book them for the date I needed on relatively short notice (two and a half weeks prior to my move). They were professional, kind and respectful, fast, timely, extremely careful with my belongings, fun to chat with, and what I paid was closer to the low end of what they quoted me. I like movers that are easy to work with, mindful of your time and don't linger too long on certain tasks to run up the clock, and Ultimate Movers was all that and more; I was impressed not only with their speed but the extra care they took to avoid bumping the walls and furniture. My entire move of about a two-bedroom apartment's worth of items (which included moving some very heavy boxes and cumbersome antique items around a couple of angled stairwells) from start to finish was three hours.
