Well after having my things in storage for about 2 years I completely forgot how much crap I had. It's A LOT. Quality Care Moving were ready for the challenge. And bless their hearts they did an amazing job. I was definitely a challenge. Not only did I have a ton of crap but I also had things in two places--my storage unit and my brothers. They were able to get everything into the truck safely and I was thoroughly impressed with the care they took to make sure that all my things made it in one piece. At my house they got to work right away, moving furniture, asking me specifically where I wanted things to go, and more. They were SO polite and careful with all of my belongings. I actually had to tell them a few times "hey, that box is just full of clothes--don't stress out about it!" or "that table is a cheap thing I picked up, don't worry about it!" but they wouldn't even think of treating any piece less important than another. My new house is one built in the 20s which means it has some awkward stairways and spaces so two of my pieces of furniture wouldn't make it where it was supposed to go. They gave it their all but they couldn't make it work. They were SO apologetic about it and even game a small discount on my services since they couldn't perform the job as required. And it wasn't even their fault! The job lasted A LOT longer than we had anticipated and it was VERY hot out yet they kept working, only taking one short break and getting back to it. I was honestly so impressed with the whole process. I don't plan on moving again for a LONG time but if I were I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call again. They were fantastic! I needed a mover. However, I was not looking forward to hiring one because the last one I hired did a terrible job. (I'll leave it at that.) Anyway, I called a couple companies up. The first one was rude and the second one was wildly expensive. Next, I called Quality Care Mover. The owner, Joe, was helpful and his price was very reasonable. So, I hired him! His movers were nice guys and very hard workers. A lot of moving companies will drag their feet. Why? Because they are paid by the hour. But these guys didn't do that; they didn't waste time. I transported some fragile items by myself (which is always a good idea) but they did everything else. Anyway, the bottom line is, they did a great job for a reasonable price. Note #1: I should probably mention that I have absolutely no connection to this company whatsoever. And I don't know anyone who works there. I'm just a satisfied customer. Note #2: They showed up late. Do I mind that? No. Because that's just how the moving business works. If a moving company has a job before yours -- and the customer decides they want to take extra stuff or the movers have to go up and down stairs -- they're probably going to be late. I ordered an adjustable bed base online. The store owner was in Alabama. He convinced me that I didn't need white glove delivery, even though I told him the item would have to go up a flight of stairs. The base was delivered, it was all one piece, and 218 lbs! We could not lift it. I called the store owner, explained the problem, and he said he would try to find a company to move it ASAP, for the $100 it would have cost me when I ordered the bed. Quality Care Moving to the rescue! I was worried about this company, because it had no website (the new name is Home One Service--I think--and it's not fully changed to that yet), but I found several reviews under Quality Care, so I made an appointment. I'm so happy I did! Darrel and Josh arrived on time. They looked a little rough around the edges, but were super nice, professional, and strong! They got the base up to the bedroom with no problem, and knew exactly how to set it up. They removed all the cardboard, plastic and pallet. I was definitely shocked to read the negative reviews about this moving company, as I had nothing but a positive experience with them this past weekend. Mike and Steve in particular were such hard workers and moved everything out of my apartment in an expeditious and careful manner. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone out there and trust me, I do not give referrals lightly. I might also add that their prices were far more reasonable than the four other places I called prior to hiring them. We just had quality care move us last week, and they were superb! I cannot say enough about how good they were! They worked for 13+ hours straight. We offered them lunch and food and drinks and they just kept on working. They never diddle daddled or tried to stretch the time out (they charge by the hour) they worked the entire time. The two men moved solid oak furniture, a piano, and countless boxes. Everything was heavy! The men never complained, got irriatated, or anything. They were nothing but professional, and worked with smiles the entire time! Even after 13 hours they were as delightful as when they started. Have had this company move me twice and both times was more than satisfied, they were professional, respectful and brought along everything necessary (bubble wrap, shrink wrap, pads) to protect my furniture and breakables. I booked my appointment over the phone and was given a quote without them even seeing what all I had to move, and they even came in under that, I guess from reading two other reviews people dont understand that if you arent honest with what you have to move, you cant get a proper quote! I was surprised to see the negative reviews. We just used Quality care moving's services and had a very good experience. They were very professional and efficient with moving our stuff. They handled things with care and took complete care of our belongings. Their price was reasonable and service was professional. They provided a more accurate estimate of the time they would take to move our stuff after looking at the boxes we had packed. He himself came and picked up my stuff from the storage and delivered them to my apartment. He's a man of his words, courteous, helpful and willing to work around your schedule. My husband wasn't able to move us due to an injury so this was the first time we every used a mover. Quality Care Moving was referred to us through a friend and we are very happy they were. They not only did a fast job, even in the heat, they wrapped and treated our property with the utmost respect. I hired QCM to move a piano from my parents house to my house. I was a little worried because their price was $200 cheaper than any other place that I called. They used a soft wheel roller, carpet roller, ramps, blankets, and door frame protectors. They took extreme care not to damage anything. Very professional and outstanding service. Joe and his team were fantastic. I needed some help for a few hours to move some heavy objects, as well as a big truck to move them, and Joe was the exact guy to call. Jeremy and Steve from Quality Care Movers were my movers. They arrived a little early and got busy right away. They shrink wrapped and blanketed my things. They were very careful and also quick.
