With a month or so to go before our wedding, my wife (fiancée at the time) and I were still looking for a DJ for our wedding and reception. Our choices were narrowed down to two. After meeting with both DJs, we had a difficult choice to make. We were really impressed with Ultimate Events/DJ Dean Hall but the other DJ was significantly cheaper. In the end, we went Ultimate Events/Dean because we liked what they had to offer, and it was completely worth paying a little more for the added value and peace of mind that comes with an experienced, knowledgeable, and energetic DJ. Ultimate Events/Dean bring a lot to the table: professionalism; a good attitude; a people person; tons of experience; attention to details; a good grasp of what works and what might not (and he's very honest/straightforward in this regard); seemingly endless energy; and fun. Because of these factors, we felt more comfortable working with Dean. Dean had a lot to do with the success of our wedding and reception. With Dean's input and execution, the ceremony was virtually flawless. The reception was just about perfect as well. Seeing it first hand, a good DJ for a wedding and/or reception is not just about playing music. Dean did a great job playing the right music at the right times and incorporating interactive games into our reception at the right times for the right purposes, which kept our guests entertained and the general mood upbeat. For example, to prevent chaotic stampedes to the buffet tables, Dean excused tables one-by-one by engaging the guests in a trivia game about our likes and dislikes - nice touch and very thoughtful. I imagine it's relatively easy to cater to a particular demographic like the twenty-somethings in the crowd and keep just them happy but at our reception everyone from the little ones to the elders and the shy or grumpy to the out-going were up out of their seats having fun. It takes a talented DJ to make that happen. Indeed, throughout the reception, several guests commented that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to, and much of the credit goes to Dean. Planning a wedding is a big step in one's life and can be extremely stressful. Thank god Ultimate Events and DJ Dean Hall were there to help us every single step of the way. We've dealt with boring, unsupportive, insensitive, DJs who lack in experience and professionalism but with DJ Dean it was such a positive, fun, energetic, and very memorable experience. Dean is AMAZING! He was the DJ for my sisters wedding 6 years ago and he was so great and memorable that when I got engaged, he was the first vendor I booked a year and a half in advance! Dean is so professional and great at what he does. We had 2 meeting with him before our wedding and he completely put me at ease so that when our big day arrived, I had 100% faith that everything would go flawlessly (which it did!). We hired Ultimate events for our wedding in October and could not have made a better decision. Seriously the best choice we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. Ultimate events may be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. We have people from the wedding still saying it's the best wedding they have ever been to. People continue to say "the DJ was awesome, he made the wedding perfect." Having an amazing DJ is one of the most important factors in your wedding. Not only was he an excellent DJ for the day of the wedding but he was very prompt in answering any emails or text and made sure to address all my concerns for the big day. Dean Hall was a blessing to our wedding. We had originally booked another less experience DJ for our wedding, but about a week before our wedding he called and said his equipment was damaged and that if we wanted to use him still we would have to pay for the equipment rental also. We were lucky enough to book Dean Hall who is usually book far in advance. He did such a good job at our wedding and took care of all the MC and DJ service. Everybody said it was the funniest wedding they've been too and he created such a good atmosphere and ambience that friends and family were all over the dance floor. He takes the time to know his client and is super organized and detail oriented. He is worth every penny! Absolutely AMAZING!! My DJ dropped out on me 44 hours before my event and this company came through for me. I sent a blast of texts/emails from 9-11 pm on Thursday night and by noon on Friday, I had booked a fabulous DJ (lucky they had a cancellation.) Not only was the music great - everyone had the BEST time - but I (mother of the bride) did not have to worry one little bit about anything. Every 5 star review anyone reads here or elsewhere, are all true! How do I find words to describe Dean with Ultimate Events that others haven't already said? My husband and I did our research, starting with Yelp. Then I found more awesome reviews on The Knot website and we knew we had to meet Dean in person! When we met, we knew in a heartbeat he was our DJ! No need to interview anyone else, Dean was our guy! My husband and I wed October 24, 2018. Our reception was on October 27, 2018 at Dave and Buster's in Orange, CA. Dean truly made our day stress free, fun, and enjoyable. Our guests of 135 were happily entertained with games hosted by Dean giving my husband and I a chance for sampling our appetizers off a plate Dean prepared for us, eat our lunch, and allowing us time to walk around to socialize one on one with our guests. The Dave and Buster's staff assigned to our event also mentioned they enjoyed our DJ and his games as well. We received a referral to Dean Hall of Ultimate Events from our photographer, Scott Land. He highly recommended Dean, so after reading wonderful 5/5 star reviews, we decided to book a meeting with Dean. Dean was so friendly, enthusiastic, and welcoming; we knew right away that he would create a fun, energetic atmosphere at our wedding. Dean Hall is not a standard wedding DJ who plays music and makes announcements. Dean Hall has a very special talent of entertaining. He is very sharp and witty and can create funny moments spontaneously either with words or music to fit the moment. Dean Hall thoroughly entertained the wedding guest with the games and icebreakers. He had the guest totally engaged, rolling in laughter, and having such a good time. We heard over and over from our guests that this was the best and most fun wedding reception they had been to. My wife and I met Dean at his office about a month before our wedding! The last thing we had to do kind of late to actually book a DJ like Dean, luckily he had a cancelation just before we met with him. We spoke with him about our expectations and preferences to which he had amazing ideas. He was a little above our ideal budget but after talking to him for about an hour we knew that there wouldn't be anyone better suited to deal with my crazy family and my wife's more tame family and keep them all completely entertained. You wouldn't believe how good he actually is until you experience him first hand. My 70 year old grandma said "This Disk Jockey really is good where did you find him?" also Dean made my great grandma (97 the day of the wedding turning 98 the next day) an awesome birthday announcement all the guests at the wedding sang her happy birthday. I don't believe there was one person who didn't come up to me personally and tell me how good he was either during or after the wedding. He was very professional kept the party moving along at a perfect pace not one lull. It was hard to leave to go to the restroom because no one wanted to miss anything. We had the guests write song requests on the back of the rsvp's which we gave him along with the guests name so he could call them out. Great with ice breakers and easing the whole experience for all the guests. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing about DJ Dean! You truly won't regret hiring Dean I guarantee it and if you do I will personally come smack you in the mouth and set you straight, just kidding but seriously though he really is amazing. Dean was an incredible DJ for my wedding in June (the last weekend of June when the heat wave come through, and our venue was in Riverside...) Dean was so relaxed and helpful with setting up and giving advice to the people setting up and is a very good communicator. Our ceremony music was perfectly timed, he did a fantastic job with the lighting, and our guests were on the dance floor all night (except when they overheated and had to go into the air conditioned room) I was so surprised to look back at my pictures and see all the guests on the dance floor, dancing the night away. it was great for me to see as the bride because i was going around thanking guests for coming and just knowing I had a DJ that did a great job makes me feel like my wedding went fabulous! read more

Dean was recommended to my by several event coordinators and, ANOTHER DJ! I once made the mistake of going with the lowest bidder DJ for a Christmas party, and boy did I pay for it! Even when everything else was perfect (i.e. the food, location, service, etc.) that DJ really killed our party. Everyone was falling asleep during dinner, we lost at least half of our guests by the time we started dancing, and all but 15 people had left when we still had an hour to go. That $600 DJ, completely ruined a $5,000 party. It was then I learned how valuable a good DJ can be, and how much damage a bad one can cause. DJ'ing is not just a business, it's an art. You wouldn't hire a high school photography student with a Canon Coolpix to photograph your, hopefully, once in a lifetime wedding, would you? If you answered yes to that question you need to be sacked. Ultimate Events was recommended to us by our wedding venue the French Estate. We decided to set up an appointment with Dean, and after talking with him for a while we decided to book him for our wedding. Dean is a really great guy and very outgoing. The energy and passion he has for his work are what convinced us to go with him over other DJ companies. We were a little hesitant because they are very expensive, but I have to say they are definitely worth every penny. Our wedding day turned out absolutely amazing and Dean is a big part of the reason why everything went so great. Dean has done many weddings at the French Estate and if you are getting married there, I highly recommend hiring Dean. He is familiar with the venue, so you do not have to worry about anything for set up. He already knows where everything is and where he needs to be. He's also more than just a DJ, he's really more of an event planner. Dean not only plays music, but he also creates an entire timeline of the events for your big day. He will work with you on the schedule and help you plan the day from start to finish. He makes sure that there is never a lull during your event, and that really makes a big difference between hiring Dean or hiring someone who just stands there and plays music. He has lots of ideas for creative games for your guests to play while you are going around greeting tables. He makes sure everything stays on schedule, and he also takes the time to make sure he is pronouncing names correctly. He is very good at getting to know your personality, and reading your guests if they are responding to the music or games. We also had a few last minute changes and Dean was more than willing to accommodate those changes. When we told our parents how much we were paying for our DJ they couldn't believe it, but at the end of the night they said he was worth every single penny. I cannot express how amazing Dean Hall is!! He made our wedding so memorable and fun! Dean truly knows what he's doing and he does an excellent job at it! He makes sure that you and your guests have the best night possible. He went above and beyond our expectations.
