Some sweet new grips installed and all... $15
    Paul J.

I walked in to find some new grips for my mtn bike. I was greeted by a friendly staff member who showed me where they were. He explained a little about the differences in their selection, and made some pleasant small talk about MN/WI since I just moved down in April. He had another customer ask him about some bike options and excused himself to help him. While I was admiring some of the full suspension bikes another staff member asked if I needed any help. I found some sale items and one of them was a sweet set of grips. He said it's all 50% off. I was more than happy to get a $30 set of locking grips for $15. I asked how much to swap a set of petals for me, and he said no charge, and offered to swap out the grips quick while they were at it. Pleasant experiences like this make me a loyal patron. I will be back when I need accessories, or maybe one of those awesome full suspension bikes! ;)

I literally thought this place was a vintage shop based on the branding I could see and the TIKI STATUE in the main window display. The location itself was neat and clean, and totally packed. I was impressed with all of the inventory they had. That said, I didn't know what some of it was and I couldn't tell what a lot of it cost. Clarity of labeling is important to keep things from feeling like clutter and to allow customers to help themselves. Also, I just didn't really feel the love which tells me that at this location customers do have to help themselves. I came by to see what the place was all about and what kind of services were offered but didn't really find that out. Did speak with someone who appeared to be working and it looked like there was a huge shop area in the back but I didn't really get a sense for what was going on, what was available, who would be helping me/my new baby girl (haven't named her, yet), etc. I'll definitely check them out again if/when I've got something specific going on, but this visit felt pretty average. If you're going to help me with my wheels, I want to feel like you love her, too. Even if she's been around the block a time or two!

If your considering buying bikes, take a minuet to read my experience…read more Talking about getting bikes for over 1 year now, my wife & I were driving by The Bike Gallery on Park Rd. and decided to stop in. We had no intent to buy anything as we were just starting the process and didn't even have a budget or even know what kind or brand of bike to get. Immediately greeted by the guy at the counter, I let him know we just wanted some information. He asked us a few questions and talked us through several options. As he began to narrow down our goals, he walked us outside to show us what he felt would be a good fit. Trying them out in the parking lot we were pleased. Of course I hadn't looked at the price tag, so I asked the question, and much to my surprise they were much less than I expected. This guy could have "up sold" me, but he didn't. This was the right bike for us. No pressure whatsoever, I don't even think he asked us if we wanted to purchase them, but we were so thrilled with the experience we ordered two bikes that day. We got a call that our bikes were ready and went to pick them up. When we arrived, we were met again by one of the owners and he immediately got our bikes. Remember, we are new to this so they could have sold us anything, but no pressure. I asked about helmets, he showed us a few options but suggested one, so we both of them, I also purchased a bike rake for my truck, and they put it together so I could use it bringing my bikes home. They didn't have to do that.... But they did. A family-owned business for 50 years, brand name bikes, surprisingly reasonable prices and great service, I won't think twice if I need anything and will make the drive across town just to do business with these guys. If you think you're going to get a bike cheaper somewhere else, trust me, you will get a cheap bike. If you're thinking about getting new bikes or even need service on the ones you have, cheat yourself, go see the team at The Bike Gallery. Joe & Megan, Mint Hill, NC

When you're looking for a new bike, they will ask all the necessary questions such as, what are your goals, what type of terrain will you be using most, what price range are you wanting to be in? Trek Bike of Charlotte is one of the best bike shops in the Charlotte area. I've been coming here for about 6 years buying bikes, having repairs done and purchasing accessories. Every time I'm here, the staff is always professional, friendly and very informative about their bikes and what I need to do to maintain my Trek bikes. There have been many instances where a simple repair was needed and the staff would do the repair free of charge and not accept any form of payment. That's goes to show how in tune they are with customer service and service after the sale. I highly recommend Trek Bike Store of Charlotte because they do have some of the best bikes in the industry for personal and professional use. They stand behind their product and make sure that you have a great experience each and every time. I will admit that their bikes can be pricey but I do believe that you get what you pay for and I have one Trek bike that is 12 years old and still in excellent working condition.
