Went in for my birthday to get my makeup done. I was a bit nervous, but the makeup artist was super nice and made me feel comfortable. When my makeup was finished, I really loved the final results. A few hours later my eyes started itching and burning so I left my birthday dinner and went home to wash my face and take off the false lashes that were applied. My whole face was on fire when I just applied water and a gentle cleanser that I use all the time. Eye makeup was remove with cellular water makeup remover. My lids were itchy and red. One eye started to feel like a style was trying to form. I progressed into an eye infection. I had to get antibiotic eye cream. My face broke out and was itchy feeling like something was constantly crawling on my face and the same with my eyes. 10 days of eye antibiotic ointment. Infection better but the crawling on the skin and eyes has not gone anywhere. I called the customer service number and asked for corporate, no corporate direct number they had to take a message and would have someone call me. The store manager called. I told her about my experience. She said that the associate said she cleaned the brushes before my session. Which she may have, but obviously she did not clean them good. I do NOT put anything on my face, so all this happened after my session. I am still dealing with this weeks later, and I have yet to hear back from corporate or any of the higher ups that the manager said should reach out. Contaminated makeup brushes and lack of proper cleaning have made this experience miserable for me. I have to set up a flow up ophthalmologist appointment to see where to go from here because the contact itching, dry eyes, crawling feeling in my eyelids and skin is too much to handle. A $90 makeup application had turned into hundreds of dollars, inconvenience, and discomfort for me. Image being on vacation for your birthday and having to deal with this! My wife did not request either the color service or the Olaplex. No explanation was provided as to why the highlights went from the quoted amount of $115 to the billed amount of $134. Stay away from this place unless you get a price quote including all charges in writing before you receive service. This was her 1st and last time to use Ulta. read more

Worst haircut of my life at this salon, a total disaster. The stylist didn't even ask me if I liked it, my face must have said it all. I'm so upset and I don't know what to do. I went into this Ulta yesterday to have my hair cut with long layers and curtain bangs. The "master stylist" Daveta butchered my hair. I'm a kindergarten teacher and have to participate in graduation on Tuesday. I'll be on stage handing out diplomas and helping my kids with their recital as well. My bangs are not only short but thick. The front "layers" are choppy and do not blend at all. I've been crying since I left there. She was overbooked and doing someone else's color and also piercing ears. I sat with a deep condition for almost an hour and the product in my hair stained my dress because it dripped down my back as I waited. Which I did, I waited patiently in hopes of getting a good haircut. I am on a budget but that shouldn't mean anything. I paid for a signature cut which I don't even know what this is. My hair is uneven and the layers don't blend at all. I don't even know what to say other than she seemed distracted the whole time. She was very nice but I don't know how this is supposed to be a signature cut. It looks so bad and I'm literally going to have to figure out how to hide my hair for the next month or more because I am embarrassed and ashamed that it looks this bad. I'm crying as I type this. I haven't had my hair done in over 15 years and I told her that. I also told her how important it is to me to have my hair look nice on graduation day. I could have butchered my hair for free. I will NEVER get my hair done at an Ulta again. I mean what do I do now? I can't afford anything else and graduation is on Tuesday. When I came in I noticed they were very adamant about safety procedures to prevent COVID. I like how safe they were and they were still very helpful. Multiple employees asked if I needed help and they were able to show me what I needed. I ended up getting Born in Roma by Valentino, dermalogica toner spray, beauty bakery setting spray, and beauty bakery's baking oil. I always get the setting spray because it works amazingly. The fragrance was a new buy for me, but it smells fresh & sophisticated. Overall, the customer service has improved over the years. I just might be back. read more

I was shopping at target and I had my infant in the cart and my toddler. My husband wanted some body butter and i was going to buy a nail polish, i didnt want to keep picking up both kids to carrying them throughout the store. I came in to ask the lady at the desk if i could roll in with the basket to just get 2 things. She said she would ask the manager the manager runs over to the lady and she tells me um we really don't have room between aisles, if you don't have room for a small shopping cart then women coming in with a single or double stroller you won't have room for us to shop either. Looks like i wont be shopping here anymore. You missed out on a $30 dollar sale today and i was sending my husband in to get more Christmas gift boxes of body butters and lip glosses as my gifts. I went here to get a highlights and the first session was good I had no complaints whatsoever but the "hairstylist" Amber Cordova said I was going to have to go back to go lighter. I went back on January 15th and she literally fried my hair. There's no way she didn't see my hair falling out and didn't even say anything to me about it, I had to find out when I got home after even buying a conditioner for my hair that she recommended. I go to this store as it is very close to my home, however they store is in rough condition. The displays are in such bad condition. I mean I opened 3 of the hourglass palmettes palettes as well as some of the colorpop palettes and they were broken and the product fell all over the floor. But it was the Urban Decay and Fenty.., and more. I understand this is a high shrinkage location as I have seen theft in there and tried to stop it, I was thrown to the floor. I had asked the manager to call security and a 20 something security guard showed up and nothing was done. At the very least, the displays need to be replaced, wiped down and be displayed properly. This location is a hot mess and given the amount of money we pay for these products, we would appreciate someone addressing these concerns. It's filthy .., just filthy. read more

Fair selection of products that I'm looking for - specifically Clinique so that I don't have to make a trip to the mall. Half the time I go here, they have what I want, and the other half the time they're all sold out. Today I got the ONE item that I was looking for (they did not have more than that), so someone coming in an hour after me looking for the same product would have been so out of luck. Customer service is negligent and despite the fact that there are 3 cash registers up front, I've never (EVER) seen more than one being operated. There may be 2 people in line or 10 people in line . . . yup, just that one register open. And let's hold up the line a little bit longer while I try to sell you on our membership points and all that other jizz-jazz that they want me to participate in -- I keep telling myself I'm not going to come here any more, but I absolutely hate driving to the mall when all I need is a tube of lip gloss. I've been to other Ulta stores and wish this one was as comprehensively stocked as they are. This Ulta took over Pier I a few years ago. I was so happy they opened a makeup store closer than going to the mall. The staff is a hit or miss. I've walked in there and received no help a few times, so I didn't purchase anything. Since they're not a large volume store like the one in Humble, they don't carry miss spa face masks or under eye gel strips. I'm on the hunt for a good brand that's not overpriced. Overall, this location is the cleanest I've seen. Products are easy to find. I love how there's always a $3-5 coupon to use on purchases $10 or more (some brands excluded). I was RACIALLY profiled in this ulta on MULTIPLE occasions, i go into this ulta only because it near where i live, The employees aren't friendly. The manager followed me around the store the entire duration of my visit and acting like she was " straightening products " right next to me. Every time i would go on a new aisle she would follow me. You walk into the nearest Ulta and let someone you've never vetted properly attempt to make you look like a supermodel. Insert Edmund. He's tall, cute and quite comical. Pretty much everything you'd want in a man you're spending over an hour chatting with in the reflection of a mirror. I needed a color change and some new long layers. My hair turned out FANTASTIC. I couldn't be happier, I was worried I'd end up with a distinctive line between the colors and not a gradual change like I've seen in so many horrible photos on Facebook. But, it turned out perfectly. Bravo Edmund, Bravo! He suggested new products for my hair that will help maintain my new color and shine. Apparently the products I've been using are a big "no-no". Out of embarrassment, I won't tell you what I was using or where I purchased said products. This is my second time trying Ulta. First time was a horrible experience in Jersey and yet in Houston the same thing. This location isn't suppose to close til 10pm. I literally got there 10mins before closing to buy a face mask I saw advertised. Well when I got there the doors were locked. I saw 2 people in there at the register who blatantly ignored me, didn't even bother to acknowledge me as if I was wrong. No y'all closed early. Yes I get everyone wants to go home but still. On Saturday at 10am I booked an appointment for 1pm. I was so worried about how my hair would come out because I have never heard of anyone getting a formal hair style done at Ulta. Well! My hair looked amazing when PAM was done styling my hair. I received so many compliments on my hair at the wedding. I showed her two pics of what I wanted and she outdid herself! I love love Ulta. I also like coming to this location. I have bought some Opi nail polishes from here and been disappointed. When I ise the polishes they look dried up on my nails like the polishes have been sitting there for years. Other than that Ulta takes all my money and I dont have any money to give away! I absolutely love this store! The staff members are awesome and are extremely helpful. I utilize pretty much every service they offer. Hair, eyebrows and facials. Andy with the benefit brows rocks she does amazing work and is super friendly. For my hair I use Evan I went to him for a cut about 3 months ago and I will be visiting him tomorrow for cut and color. This Ulta has HORRIBLE customer service. If I could give them negative stars, I would. I booked a facial a week in advance and the day I get there, the person is late and then proceeds to tell me that they are out of what they need for the facial. I specifically called and asked to make sure they have everything. Someone called me a day later saying everything was good to go. There was no apology or anything. She basically just told me we don't have it and can't do your facial. This is the THIRD time that's happened to me at this Ulta. I know that one customer not going here isn't going to affect them but they still need to learn to treat customers better read more
