I love this Ulta location and even when I plan on buying lower end makeup I find it more convenient to come here over Target/Walmart because they truly have so many options and it includes brands you wouldn't typically find at other stores. I recently went here to pick up one thing and of course I walked out with five extra. My only complaint is that they tend to be out of stock of the "viral" products no matter how many months later I check back in. I ended up ordering it on Ulta online but just something I noticed about their in store selection. read more

I had an appointment today for a cut and blow out - I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment. There is no one to check you in - so I waited 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment - then I went to the stylist - and asked if she was going to be much longer - she checked her system and my appointment wasn't in the books. I received 4 confirmations from Ulta - yet according to her I did not have an appointment - I will not try this place again. At this ulta we went to check out and they noticed we had so many points... they then asked for an id but the account is under my moms name... they wouldn't let me show my id with the SAME last name or her card that says her name they wouldn't even let me facetime her to show. Makes no sense why she has to be in store to use them when i have clear proof that im her daughter. last time i was there i was able to use them no id needed. they were going to let us use them until they realized we have over 900$ in points then asked for an id and said we couldn't. read more

I've been to this Ulta since they opened, it's nice that it's typically quiet. It is really well stocked. When I need help and ask for it the associates are really on top of things. I had gone in about a year ago looking for a new retinol product. The gentleman who helped me even Googled for me to figure out information on a product that wasn't on the label/box, it was great the extent of help he was giving me. Another associate even chimed in and was helping me find a good product at a good price. She was also amazing with her knowledge on the products we were all discussing. I went here throughout and have gotten the same treatment each time I've asked for help. When they see me they have greeted me often, but I'm grateful they don't seek me out sort of thing. I like to shop in peace and have social anxiety so I'm much happier seeking someone if I need help rather than have someone chasing me around. I've been to other beauty stores and they're quite like having a shadow follow you around sometimes, it's very uncomfortable. To each their own in that though! If I need help I ask, they provide the help well here and at least in my experience go above and beyond. I recently had an appointment with Amanda for my eyebrows and it was truly a great experience. I have no idea what I'm doing so I let her pick what to do with their shape. I got a wax and tint that day. They came out gorgeous!! Eyebrows really do change your face, and it was a much needed change. It had been a year since I had gotten them done. I'm so happy and I immediately booked my next appointment with her right then and there. It's definitely worth it. She listened to me blab on and on, yah know when you're nervous so you just don't shut up? Yeah that was me hahahahahaha! She was so kind though, and we had a very good talk which helped lift my spirits quite a bit and made it much more comfortable. She knows her brows!! Overall this is a great place to go, it's well stocked, well lit, good brow bar services, the people who work there are kind and helpful, and it's always clean. Typical Ulta, with almost all the products you desire. I normally love shopping at Ulta due to the helpful staff but I was kind of disappointed with my last visit here. Despite lingering around some of the product displays, the salesperson wearing extremely ill fitting flip flops proceeded to ignore me and just flopped around the store making a ton of noise. I usually come here after yoga so may not be looking my best, so maybe that is why he didn't want to help me, but I thought it was very rude to be ignored. Came here for an appointment with Rachael at the Salon. Was surprised how clean and organized this store was and was amazed at their products. I never realized how much products they carried! They literally carry everything from department store makeup to drug store makeup & everything in between. They have a huge selection of flat irons, blow dryers, makeup, nail treatment/nail polishes, hair products, and skin products! I was amazed! I only came in here to get my hair highlighted but I couldn't resist grabbing a few products on my way out. Rachael did such a great job on my hair. She was friendly and professional and let me know exactly what she was doing and how long each "process" would take. It was a bit on the expensive side but because I had so many different "processes" done so it makes sense! I would definitely be back! read more

If I could have given this location zero stars I would have but couldn't. I have shopped at Ulta many times. Walked in employees were standing around talking to one another never looked in my direction or acknowledged me. Had a couple of items I walked around the store for a bit until I heard male employee that was there today speak to a customer asked what brought her in if she needed any help. I guess at that point workers were done talking or they pick and choose who they help. At one point I walked by 3 employees that were standing up front not one of them said anything to me. I decided I had enough. I left the things I was going to purchase there and walked out. I will shop at Ulta but at the Middletown location. They're much more helpful and friendly. read more

I'm going to give it a three The reason for that I never had a good experience up until today. I just came out of the location in Seekonk. Met a associate there her name is Skyler She went above and beyond anybody that I have ever met.. Took her time to explain everything to me. guided me through picking out my products. Her personality alone is is incredible incredible I'm so glad I met finally finally a competent employee at this location. This girl needs to be recognized in some fashion from district management, Managerment and adove.above.. I asked her why she was not a manager she said that she doesn't have enough time that she takes care of children she's compassionate if it wasn't for her I would have never came back yet the only reason why I came back today was to return something and I swa and vowed I'd never return to this location because of the customer service I have received in the past. just look on Google review reviews. You should utilize Skyler to teach all the employees how to be friendly courteous and helpful she is the biggest asset to your company. read more

Visited this store today to buy some beauty products after getting out of work. At first I got a little anxiety about employees being all over me, but then I realized quickly that they could care less. I really needed help trying to find a product. No one approached me. Although I must have passed at least 5 or 6 employees, not one asked me if I needed help or had any questions. I must have been searching the store for at least an hour, no exaggeration. After I combed through the ENTIRE Ulta, not finding what I was looking for, I decided to look for an employee. Passed by 3 store employees with their lanyards/name tags huddled near the front displays. They were talking about what they were going to be doing later/complaining about their shifts. It was such a negative energy, they continued to completely ignore me. But I don't go into Ulta very often, and I really wanted my product. So I finally found someone who worked there, a man in a fedora. He looked annoyed that I asked for help, but I suppose he put forth the minimum effort of trying to help me find this product. I asked about the product, and apparently, this location doesn't even carry it. Yes, it was a cheap product, but I was spending about $200 and had a basket full of stuff I planned on buying. Maybe that's not tons of money, but still felt let down by how I was treated as a paying customer in this store. Especially when there are so many other options these days to purchase beauty products. I guess this particular Ulta does not care. The store itself is not very clean. Product is scattered all around, it doesn't look well maintained or cared for. In fact, there was buy one get one 50% off sale on a particular brand. Turns out the signage was old. At the register when I saw that I didn't get the discount, the cashier had to go double check, informed me the sale was over, and hesitantly explained that she would have to give me the sale price anyway, because the signage was not taken down. I will never ever again go here for that particular product because later that day I went to the Target across the parking lot, and they carry this same brand line for at least 10-15% cheaper, not on sale. I could overhear the hair stylist station, as someone was getting their hair done in the back, and it sounded like they were having a racist conversation. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop but they were just gabbing away very loudly. They sounded almost embarrassed when I kind of looked over at them. But continued chatting away. Still, no one asked me if I needed help, as I tried to look lost. I recommend no one go to this Ulta. Just go to target, or another Ulta location. This one is a (not) hot mess. I even put some of the items I was going to purchase back, as I was just turned off by being in this store. I will just stick to Sephora, or Target, maybe I'll check out the other Ulta's in the area. In fact, even the cashiers suggest I do so, to find the product that this location doesn't carry. I understand that they sell their products online, but that doesn't give me the whole shopping experience that I enjoy. This was a very non enjoyable shopping experience, and for an Ulta, I feel like part of its branding is it's accessibility, unlike Sephora, where you come to expect snooty salespeople (although still not an acceptable business practice, but I get it, it's like going/getting into to VIP clubs etc, only the "beautiful" people get in ) Ulta is not by any means some kind of "VIP" treatment. It's a glorified CVS beauty aisle, that happens to also carry Kylie Jenner Lip Kits and has an empty not poppin benefits brow bar. I went to Ulta Salon to get a formal style for my elopement wedding. Tatyanna was my stylist and she was great and so friendly. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted, just really a low/loose style (so I didn't look bald with my hair scraped back) and she did the most gorgeous woven bun. She used products that made the style stay in all night and I still had a sleek look in some parts without looking too scraped back. I was able to have her add in some hair pins that I had brought with me and it was perfect for my elopement day. read more

This was the first and LAST time I go into that store. I had to ask a sales associate (I use that term loosely) for assistance, because I was being ignored. (There were only 2 other customers in the store at the time and they weren't helping either one). They were too busy talking to the male from the "salon" to notice customers. I told her it was my first time in the store and seeking a shampoo for naturally curly hair. She immediately brought me to the products for someone with "textured hair". I told her I don't have that type of hair. She then looked at me and said any brand of shampoo has something for curly hair (talked into her headpiece) and walked away. I looked around for a bit on my own and thought I am not giving my hard earned money to a place that doesn't assist customers and hires terrible sales associates. Not to mention, the prices are absolutely ridiculous on most of the shampoo lines. I walked out of there without them even acknowledging me. I love this Ulta but today I went and it literally smelled so strongly of cologne I left with a huge headache like seriously it's one thing to have your store smell nice with one or two sprays of something but this was the most absurd suffocating scent in the world I literally felt like I was in a Hollister in 2012 idk how these employees deal with working w that smell it was actually godawful I'm literally going to go to a different location now bc of how ridiculous that was. I had such an excellent experience this past weekend. I was checking out and explained I was back because I accidentally grabbed my normal bare minerals foundation one shade off and the employee stated well why didn't you bring it back?! I said I alReady used it she said it didn't matter as long as there was more then half left. I came back later and returned the wrong foundation without issue. I was so impressed!!! This will be the last time I visit this location. When I walked in the store I was not greeted, which already rubbed me the wrong way. After being ignored I decided to ask someone for help. The only person I seen on the floor was a women name Amanda. ( I was told by the manager that there are several associates that work there with that name) I really didn't want to ask Amanda for help, because I walked by her several times and she did not greet me or offer assistance. Left with no option ( because I really needed help) I approached Amanda and asked her " are you working the floor" she replied " what do you me ?" I clarified " are you available, to assist me with finding a product." She said " well what do you need help with?" ( with an attitude ) I told her what I was looking for. She walked me over to two products. Didn't give much detail. Didn't seem like she wanted to help me. So I told her never mind I'll just keep looking. And she happily walked away , to nicely greet another customer and apologized to her for keeping her waiting. After leaving the store with no assistance and without anything, I called and spoke with the manager. I believe her name was Hanna or Haley? She apologized with an explanation/ excuse for my interaction with Amanda. She said Amanda does Brows and may have had an appointment. The manager offered me to come back in the store and she would help me, in which I declined. There's no excuse to treat your customers like that. I had never been to an Ulta before so rather than being overwhelmed, getting a broken pallets in the mail, etc - i ordered online. The item i want is also never in stock and just restocked. Pick up next day along with things i got while in store and got to my car to open and was the tester! Go inside and they are out of what i ordered .. i am giving five stars because they are human, it happens - but it was how they handled it, multiple staff apologized , every one was sweet. They offered to return in cash or credit- they called every local store for me (all out) and then redid the online order to me door for me. It won't be in time for Christmas, but that's ok, i appreciate all the effort they made. I also missed the birthday gift signup for the rewards program by like a week - so they hooked me up with a few freebies for my patience! You all rock and I'm sure you'll see me again. I have to say, I don't normally write reviews, but I received help from Desiree at the store, and she was PHENOMENAL. She spent close to 20 minutes running back and forth between different products/brands with me (because I was picky and didn't love some of the colors). She was so patient and I ultimately made a purchase of 4 items thanks to her. The reason I went to Ulta is because the people at Sephora next door in Kohl's were very unhelpful. I have recently went to this Ulta location, and my experience was okay. They have a wide selection on beauty supplies, but they are overly priced. I had bought a wet brush from them for $12.99 and later on I went to a different store and got the same brand for $9.99. So I think they could ease up on the price a bit. Otherwise they have a great selection on beauty supplies. read more
