Slightly awkwardly waiting in the reception area while she juggles another client. Slightly disappointed at the lack of mindless magazines - No Self, Seventeen, Vogue or Glamour. Fortunately, there was Harpers Bazaar so I could catch up on Paris Hilton's latest. I did the face framing height lights - 8 foils but I think she gave me a few extra. Saved around $60 by skipping toner and a blow dry. Asked for thick highlights, and they looked a bit skinned but the stylist showed me how they were actually thick. She was right. She didn't show me my hair automatically at the end. I had to ask, but I did like what I saw.

The only thing I didn't know is not to wash my hair and arrive with it wet for an updo. you should arrive with clean, dry hair. Kendall shared it takes more time as now it had to be dried .. She also showed me her inspiration pictures, and we agreed on the cut and color before beginning. While she was coloring my hair, I asked about doing a full highlight and whether a partial would achieve the color we discussed. She told me it was too late to switch to a full because the technique was different. I wasn't concerned because I trusted that the partial would achieve the result we had agreed upon. After bleaching and toning my hair, she then told me that my hair would not be as blonde as I wanted because I had received a partial and would need a full session to achieve that result. I was very frustrated because I had specifically asked about a full highlight earlier. If I had been told beforehand that a partial could not achieve the agreed-upon color, I would have chosen a different service. I also noticed a visible line from my previous color that had not been blended. When I spoke with the manager, she told me, "I am the professional and I know what I'm talking about." I agreed and explained that this was exactly why I was upset--I trusted the professional to tell me what service was necessary to achieve the color we discussed. Instead, I was told after the service was completed that I couldn't get the result I wanted. The manager became extremely upset and yelled at me while I was trying to explain my concerns. I had to ask her to calm down. When I said I would be leaving an honest negative review about my experience, she accused me of threatening her. I found that response completely inappropriate and extremely disrespectful. I was not offered a refund, only discounted additional services to try to achieve the look I originally wanted. I never would have agreed to the salon's pricing if I had known beforehand that the service being performed could not achieve the result we discussed. I only booked here because my regular stylist was booked and I was trying to fit in an appointment. Unfortunately, I left unhappy with both my hair and the way my concerns were handled. I will not be returning. Edit: I am also a natural blonde, as the stylist stated during the appointment when she said this would be and "easy" treatment during the appointment. Our adventure started with us running late due to an accident, and they were so understanding when we called to let them know we will be late. During their appointment, my wife was blown away at how friendly and kind everyone was. They even brought her over a little table to eat her food I dropped off for them. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. I clearly requested the same foiling pattern that had previously been used. Because I part my hair on the side, starting the foils along that part gave the best result. However, Victoria chose to use a different method and applied significantly fewer highlights than expected. It was very apparent that this was done to rush through my appointment while managing multiple other clients at the same time. The end result reflected that decision. My hair was noticeably over-processed, uneven, and poorly blended. I left with stark, white stripe-like sections down the middle and along both sides of my head--an outcome that looks unnatural and is difficult to conceal. This is not a subtle issue; it is a clear technical failure. The entire appointment felt rushed and lacking in care. The focus seemed to be on volume--fitting in as many clients as possible--rather than delivering quality work. This is a significant decline from the level of professionalism and attention to detail I experienced in the past. Victoria immediately acknowledged the problem and said she wanted to correct it, which made it clear she knew the result was unacceptable. However, that only reinforces that the issue was preventable and caused by poor execution and lack of attention during the service. I was also charged $220 for what was described as a 'partial' highlight, yet the coverage was far less than what is typically considered a 'partial' at most salons in the U.S. Charging a premium price for rushed, subpar work is extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, I am from out of town and was visiting on vacation, which made this situation even more difficult to handle. I am now left having to live with a poor color result for the remainder of my trip and will need to wait until I return home to have my regular stylist attempt to correct it. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others against booking with Victoria if you expect careful technique, proper processing, and results that reflect the price being charged.

For the last 6 months I tried different home remedies and nothing was working. My hair was dry and curl at the top was just not doing anything. That's when I decided to look on Yelp and see what others have been saying about local salons. This brought me here to FRS, Veronica the owner was very responsive through Yelp messaging and suggested glossing with some curl treatments. After reading the existing reviews I decided to give it a try. Veronica had an opening for today with a stylist that I remember reading good reviews on. An hour later I met with Sandy. She took the time to ask me about my hair and evaluate my needs and my hairs needs. After protein treatments and drying I am happy to report I have some curl revived. I don't expect to leave with my healthy curly hair but I left with hair that I believe is the beginning stages of restoration and rejuvenation. I decided to buy the product line they used to continue the curl treatments. After about a month of use I will be sure to provide another update as to the results. It is a lovely new salon that houses other hair stylists, massage therapists, barber shop, a botox spot and more. You can have a spa day all in one place. He has his own private room with a sink and styling chair. There is a huge mirror so you can see what's happening. He even has this fancy vacuum that sucks up all the hair. London is a fabulous hair stylist. He always listens to my vision and delivers exactly what I requested. My hair looks and feels fabulous after he finishes working his magic. I would absolutely recommend London for all your hair needs, from a cut, color and style. There are restrooms down the hall that are always clean. And a nice waiting room when you first walk into the salon. Give London a call several weeks ahead of when you need your hair done as he stays very busy! You will not be disappointed.
