Everytime I go into this Ulta, I am NEVER disappointed in their customer service. Employees are really kind and asks if you need any help. Recently I went with my cousin to get a Marc Jacobs perfume and the GWP, which was an umbrella collaboration with Murakami. This was after she went to the Waterford location the night before and had terrible customer service with the store manager there. I come to this location quite often as it is near my house. They have good selections here for all of your beauty needs. I'm very particular with the products I use for my hair so I come to Ulta to get them. Plus I have diamond rewards so everytime I purchase something I earn points to go towards future purchases. They always ask me to sign up for their credit card but I always tell them "No" I like that they offer curbside pick up when ordering online. I've done that a few times and it's made my life a lot easier. But I like to go inside the store to browse around and touch things and sample their lipsticks. I LOVE Ulta. The staff is always so kind, upbeat and helpful. The Ulta in Lee Vista is always humming with shoppers who genuinely seem happy to be there. Ulta is my happy place. The vibe is very relaxed and with women who are equally as happy to be there. I don't know how else to explain it, other than this store brings me pure joy. They have such a wide range of products, and are constantly bringing in new products, such as Tarte and Hourglass, just to name a couple. I purchased the dark spot corrector serum from this location just to get home and begin to use it that night to see that the dropper was missing. So the next morning when I called to see about getting it replaced Anthony stated that could have been a manufacture error and I couldnt have that replaced, I can return it and "HOPE" they have another one. So basically I spent $44.99 and didn't get everything that was suppose to come with it and this location basically is saying oh well. So let me be the example to not go by the associate telling you everything is in there and actually check for yourself because they won't care. I had made an appointment 2 weeks prior on the app for a blow out which consists of a cleanse, condition, scalp massage, customized blow dry and thermal styling. Approximate 45 min service. I was called back by my stylist and shown to the shampoo area. There were two ladies already getting shampooed. I was done so quickly they were still receiving their scalp massage which I didn't receive. It's the highlight I always look forward to and enjoy the most! Once back in her chair I had to repeatedly say I was tender headed, and please be gentle. There was no ease up at all. It was very uncomfortable. I had to ask for the pieces of hair that were sticking out to be flat ironed as she was ready to send me on my way. From start to finish was 18 minutes. I was in disbelief. The ladies beside me were still getting blown out and you could tell there was time and attention to their requested hair styles. As I cashed out the the cashier asked me if I was happy and I said I had a very unpleasant experience. Her only response was how much tip do I want to leave? I can only comment on products not hair care. I wandered in here while my wife was one shop over. I noticed that they offer a wide range of makeup and several shades of polish. This is mostly a location for hair products and their selection wasn't terribly impressive. I was impressed with the brushes. That's me. They were slow so I pressed them for assistance and information on products for Mrs. E. The nice young ladies went out of their way to guide me in the right direction. I even learned a few things I didn't know. In the end, I bought a couple of items to try out. I did have a less than stellar experience with an employee. I don't really care; I have to assume it had to do with me being a man. It was actually quite comical. I chalked it up to a bad day and blew her off. Everyone else was pleasant and happy to help! This place is definitely on the right street, being called Eagle Watch Drive. Because of the 21 day beauty sale I came in with a list of things that I was looking for, because I also happened to have 5 times points right now. When this little skinny man kept circling in the same aisles I went down. No matter what aisle, he appeares. The security guard kept coming closer, going around me for the entire 15-20 minutes I was there trying to read a label or figure out if I was getting what I needed that was on the sale. Staring and completely invading personal space. He evidently thought I was going to steal something or was just creepy for no reason. I was completely uncomfortable with the shadow I gained as soon as I entered the store, even though there were a dozen or so other women present. I finally put all my things back on one shelf, turned around and walked out. The store is nice and the majority of the staff that I encountered were friendly. I am visiting from California and wanted nice lashes for an engagement tonight. I booked a 3:15 appointment for lashes on the app. I arrived at 3:00 a few minutes early for my appointment. I was directed to the back of the store in the salon area. When I approached the counter I was met by a young lady who argumentatively told me that I was late for my appointment. It WAS 3:11 and she proceeded to tell me that I could wait for the technician to take her next appointment and then I could go afterward. It was very strange She then insisted that she had spoken with me by phone to discuss a scheduling conflict. I had never been contacted by anyone. Super weird. I then asked the young lady if she even knew my name. She had never asked my name, nor had she taken any information from me. She gave me an incorrect name. She did not even know who I was. I was early for my appointment. The young lady was looking at someone else's appointment while delaying and inconveniencing me. She then told me that she needed to "find" the tech with whom I was scheduled. This took a while and I was invited to sit and wait multiple times. Eventually, the technician casually descended upon the area where I was waiting as if she did not have any scheduled appointments. I should have run like hell! She took me to a treatment room and glued lash strips on me. There was an excessive amount of glue on my eyes. The lashes are uneven and I look like a damn fool. Thankfully, I have lash removal in my hotel room. The tech assured me that the glue was clear and that it would dry and become invisible. LIES! My eyes were practically glued shut! Within minutes of leaving the store the lash on my left eye was hanging off. Unbelievable! i hate this experience. I hate wasting my time and my money. I regret going to this location. Let me start off by saying that I have been getting my hair cut by the same stylist for thirteen years prior to my experience with Ulta. My stylist recently moved out of state and I have been hesitant to let anyone else touch my hair. I decided to take a chance on the Ulta salon after having several friends rave about their experience at Ulta and I am extremely disappointed as this is the worst haircut I have ever received. My Ulta stylist was super professional and friendly and I have no complaints about the customer service I received but I am less than pleased by the haircut. I walked out of the salon to realize that there were several pieces of hair that don't seem to have been cut at all and are substantially longer than the rest of my hair, there are chunks of hair that are much shorter than the rest of my hair, the back is uneven and choppy, and (probably worst of all), my hair is a completely different length on the left side than it is on the right. I am so disappointed and will definitely continue my search for another good hairdresser. read more

Little known fact- Ulta has a beauty salon! Yes they sell makeup, face products and perfume, but way in the back is a hidden gem. I came across it when the salon I used closed permanently during COVID. I wanted a cut so I walked in and made an appointment that same day. Lucky me, I got the best stylist! No not going to reveal her name! Because I want to get my appointments! All of the ladies are great, but she is a hidden gem! She listens, remembers what you like and want, will go for vivid colors, recommends usable and affordable products, and actually looks at you to see if your vision and here will be possible. I once had a stylist give me a fade when I didn't ask for it and I never went back. I get my color with her, I can even ask for makeup tips; she does wedding and special occasion parties. If you want a color, cut to bring health back to your hair, or a new look, I say go to the Ulta website and book an appointment. It's worth the wait and worth the price. read more

Since covid I have been in the store several times, each time I walk out thinking corporate would not think the appearance of the agents working was professional, their image is being tarnished. The professional artists are wearing sneakers, gym clothes, little to no make up and their hair looks like they rolled out of bed. I want the looks they have and I go there shopping for their professional guidance on trends and products to purchase. I have been a loyal customer to Aveda salons but due to locations and ever changing staff I decided to look for a new salon. I frequent Ulta for their products anyway and decided to try their salon. From the moment I arrived everyone was really nice. They offered me water and my stylist really listened to my concerns and goals. She recommended a conditioning treatment that left my hair feeling like silk. I just had a cut and style but I was the best I've had in a long time and will be back for coloring. She was knowledgeable about products for my hair and even walked me over to that area of the store to show me a few things but wasn't pushing me at all to buy anything. Went last weekend for highlights . Asked for partial highlight and she gave me full highlights . The color I asked for and what was done was also not right . She put me lighter shade. The stylist name was karla. I dont think I am going back there again . Last two time I had Cassandra and My experience with her was also not good. Yelp 100 challenge 2017! 20/100 I love every Ulta that I go into, it's a magical place of transformation! They have so many services and beauty products in one convenient place. This is a brand new store, in the new shopping center near the airport. It is well organized and slightly overpriced like all Ultas, but we just learn to deal with it because of the convenience. They have someone on staff that does eyebrow waxing, which I thought was pretty awesome in addition to the regular salon in the back and shelves upon shelves of crack.... I mean makeup! They always have a promotion going on, usually on Ulta brand products, either B1G1 or B2G1 or spend a certain amount and get a gift. I like the incentive. It makes me feel a bit better about spending my money there. I am a rewards member as well which is cool because you get coupons in the mail and a heads up on sales. This location is really close to my job so I stop in during the day or after work to watch my paycheck disappear before my perfectly lined cat eyes. read more

Pros: The staff are super excited about makeup. There are lots of staff on hand. Cons: The customer service is atrocious. The staff is super excited about the products FOR THEMSELVES. There was a group of at least six staff members circled up working on a colleague for about fifteen minutes when I was in close proximity. No one noticed I was there. Later, when I was getting product from stock myself a staff member told me that the drawer pulled out. When I asked a staff member to help me match a foundation to my skin she had to get a coworker. The gal that helped me with the foundation did a fine job but didn't seem to be interested in me after meeting my request. She didn't offer or suggest any other augmenting products or engage me further. When I checked out at the register it appeared that I got a manager. However, customer service was not modeled by this individual. - our interaction was allowed to be interrupted multiple times by coworker -social interaction at the register -answering coworker questions about recommendations out loud across the room - I was asked if I wanted to join the loyalty program with no explanation of the benefits. When I asked if I got free samples or discounts the reply was, "Yes." She then retrieved two small samples and put them in the pile with no explanation of them. I didn't see any discount nor was a program explained to me. I spent close to $200 but felt like nothing when I left. I understand that brick and mortar are having a hard time competing with online sources for product. Personal service is what physical stores have over virtual stores. I only got my hair color and full highlight done with her, She did a great job on my hair, listened what I want and give great advised. I like the color, It turned out to be so nice with highlight. This is the newish Ulta located in the Lee Vista Promenade. I'm normally an online shopper. I decided to look at nail polish in person, instead of trying to select color online. Mistake. First, there are HUGE gaps in the OPI section - like MOST colors were not on the shelf. The shelf looks like they might have 40% of the OPI colors? I remember when Ulta first opened - they had all the OPI colors - now they have maybe half. Although there are lots of people "working" in the store, there is no one to actually help you. They are...I'm not sure...stocking? There was one very slow person working the register. By slow, I mean, each and every customer was asked if they wanted to be on the mailing list - if yes, then they were asked to recite their address, which was then slowly repeated back, and typed in - then your city - then your zipcode - then your cell phone - then your home phone - then your email address. In the meantime, the line to check out is growing and growing. Where is the line? That is unclear. Some ppl tried lining up in front of the (one) open register, while other people lined up at the far end of the counter - far, far away from the register. People in line started complained to each other - justifiably so. There were at least 6 people standing in what we hoped was "the line", and staff were just milling around the store, ignoring the line, while the person at the register droned on and on about signing up for the mailing list. This location on Eagle Watch Drive in Orlando has the absolute worst customer service in the store! They are rude, talk about customers and offer no help at all. Ordered online for a pick-up and they did not fill the order correctly. Only 3 products ordered. When I nicely pointed out my order was missing items, they told me that they 'must be out' and that was 'all of my order'. I checked and was charged for all three items and the shorted item was in stock on the shelf in the store. No apologies for getting the order wrong, no thank you for shopping with us. Just rude clerks that stand around and talk about the customers! This location is THE WORST!! This is by far the worst experience I've had at Ulta. I was walking around looking for a certain product that I couldn't find. I approached one of the ladies that worked there to ask if they carried this product. Before even catching her attention, I had to say excuse me more than once as she walks right past me. The beauty hairstylist at this location, Cassandra was absolutely unprofessional, she came recommended as the best. I always get my hair done at ulta I came from NY to Orlando and I want to continue getting my hair done with ulta. I had an appointment for 12:15 she called at 12 to let me know she was running late to come at 12:45 so I was fine with that. When I got there one of the other stylist told me to wait another 20 minutes n I made it clear to the person attending me that I wasn't pleased she had wait even longer . So I walked around n I came back to the reception area N saw she was still with a client n I just waited nearby on my phone looking at my email when I hear her say to her client she's running late, n she has someone waiting (me) and the client said 'well I waited too' and I hear Cassandra say she's(me) giving me a dead stare' (when I wasn't even looking at her I was texting my friends but I could hear her). Mind u this was at 1pm and I waited 55 minutes. Hearing her talk badly about a client (me) to another client is completely unprofessional. I left with a bad taste in my mouth. I can't believe she even said that when it was far from the truth. Im glad I didn't let her touch my hair. Also my first visit with her I got my hair done n it took 6.5 hrs when normally the longest I've ever done my hair was 3.5 hrs n i dont have long hair (shoulder length) but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt n came back again read more
