When I moved away in December 2018, Hannah was super helpful in giving me pointers for finding a new stylist, telling me what keywords to give the stylists to get exactly what I wanted. When I went to my cut and gloss appointment in Buffalo, the stylist would not stop complimenting my highlights. I think it says a lot when another stylist recognizes the skill of another. I've also seen other stylists for getting my hair done with weddings and other events, and gotten compliments on Hannah's highlights technique as well. Hannah's a certified Rusk instructor, meaning that she's taken an extra step to learn the proper approach with the Rusk products, and trains other stylists on how to use them. So, her expert technique isn't surprising! I love Hannah's work so much that I made an appointment to get balayage with her while I was visiting my parents in Greensburg for the weekend. And again, she was super accommodating knowing that I was coming in from 4 hours away. I can't recommend Hannah enough! And yes, I totally plan on keeping her as my stylist even while living in Buffalo. I'm also getting microblading done with Dawn, and I'm super excited about it! I'll update this review once I do.

Right uptown Mt.Lebo, plenty of parking on the street and in a nearby parking garage. The salon itself was very clean, and everyone working was very pleasant from the moment I walked through the door. My hairstylist had her mask on, which I really appreciated. My stylist was Lizzie. We had a mini consult when I first arrived to make a game plan for my mop, and she went to work. Again, my hair is blonde and getting highlights/balayage is always "refreshing" but is never a dramatic change for me. I was pleased to know that my Groupon covered balayage, because foils all the way to my scalp aren't my favorite, especially in the winter months! I've had my hair damaged in the past, so I asked Lizzie 3 or 4 times to check my progress (I was annoying, I'm sure) but I'm glad I did. My hair turned out great. The color was beautiful, and felt completely refreshed. I also really liked how Lizzie cut my hair! After checking out Yelp, I see some reviews here aren't the best. I can say that I had a much different experience than the negative reviews here. With blonde hair, I don't see "mistakes" as easily. Also, I was a hairstylist and was absolutely horrible, and eternally grateful Yelp did not exist when I was a hairstylist, it's truly a very difficult job and people are hypercritical with the way they look.

They temp you on arrival and ask the standard covid questions. My stylist was Kiersten and she was wonderful. Really funny, listened to what I was interested in, and gave great tips. I love my cut, she did an amazing job. The hair color is nice but not quite for me. But that was my fault for not knowing what I wanted in the first place. My blowout was fantastic and left my hair so bouncy and soft. I look forward to returning for another great experience.

I met the owner of Meraki Styles Salon last year (2019) after trying to find a salon when moving to Pittsburgh. Usually I stay with a salon because of the location but in this rare occasion I decided to follow the stylist when she opened up on her own. Location: the space is very nice. Minimalistic, with four chairs and a google assistant to set the mood - when she wants to cooperate. Cut: It is hard to judge a cut for everybody to judge, because it's personal style. But Bri's been cutting my hair now for a year now and I keep going back. But seriously. I had it cut every six weeks and I'm happy that my layers grows in very evenly. So even if you're jot a pro, like I am not it still continues to look good. When I come for balayage the process takes about 2 hours and I came out with really cute curls. See picture. Also ps: I keep asking her to curl it when I go but I really like it straight I hope she chuckles when I admit this on yelp Price: this is pretty fabulous. I pay as much for my haircut as my boyfriend. Bri is very fair and is able to cut and/or in an efficient way with pleasant conversation while giving you a homey feeling. Overall quality: I want to give her a five star but I'm a bit worried about how many reviews that are good have been hidden by the yelp algorithm, which is a little concerning for me looking at a new business that opened during corona season.
