I took my mom in for make up as a Mother's Day treat, and she enjoyed it. I wouldn't even let her know what went on behind the scenes as to not disrupt her day. This rating is for the people at the register. Zion provided horrible customer service. One of the girls that helped us had written out instructions for my mom's make up on one of their sheets. He saw it on the counter and started questioning why there was nothing checked on the back. I told him the sheet was instructions only and he wanted to make a big deal, saying didn't y'all get your eyebrows done. I told him to call the girl up to the front and he did when she arrived the lady up there with him (maybe the manager told him we had been in before) and she said he was right in what he did since he didn't know we were in earlier. He had to know something if he kept saying, didn't y'all have eyebrows done? I had just walked in to pay for my mom's services so he didn't see me get services earlier or did he? Why would he have said that unless he had some prior knowledge. He took what should have been a happy experience from me to my mom and made it just the opposite (Ulta). When we were in earlier we had a little wait checking out while I guess the manager assisted Jacorian who was being trained. He said it was his first day. The checkout experience was the very worst of the day. My mom loved her makeover. Kudos to the two ladies that helped. read more

Ulta is supposed to be my happy place, where a girl buys makeup. Not this Ulta. The nail polish selection is scarce in your basic colors like pink, nude, red, basically anything that is ok to wear in the workplace. There is almost NO CONCEALER AVAILABLE ANYWHERE FOR FAIR SKINNED WOMEN LIKE MYSELF. There are no testers for the Hempz lotion, leaving you to only buy the $7.99 travel size, which I did before, and what a waste of money, half the lotion stank so bad. Most of the tried and true cosmetics cannot be found here, no Covergirl, anything you can typically find at any drug store. Too many "new" brands that may be popular for the younger generation, but for older customers like myself with money to burn, no reliable products.Maybelline selection is too small. The Zoya, Pacifica, Essie, Orly, & China Glaze nail color is in desperate need of restocking. The staff was wonderful, some girls getting their makeup done. I just think I might hit up CVS, Walgreens, Target, or Walmart in the future because when I go buy makeup, I want to see BIG, RESPECTABLE BRANDS, not stuff that only caters to Instagram influencers. read more

I give this place a 3 for product options. There are a ton of product lines to choose from at Ulta and several different ranges of prices. I went in this weekend and a few employees were talking about their personal lives but not greeting customers. I walked around and noticed several pretty messy cosmetic areas. The ladies restroom has had an issue on two of my recent visits - let's just say it needed attention both times. I've never gotten my hair or nails done here so I cannot speak to that but saw several clients receiving services. read more

I have to admit, I had never been in an Ulta store before. I went in to buy a shampoo that someone had recommended for thinning hair, and after locating it, I decided to walk around. I was hooked!! I had no idea it was such an awesome store. I always thought of it as a beauty supply warehouse sort of place. Jess and Emily, two fabulous saleswomen, who helped me find a perfect perfume (Chloe Nomade) were patient and never pushy. Sheri, the absolutely delightful woman who helped check me out, took the time to explain how the Ulta credit card worked (yes, I got one for 20% off today's purchase, plus double points), and she also explained how the points worked, and why I should download the app, and she even told me about upcoming sales. we can't say enough about Rikki and the team there. They won our heart when the saved the day after a local salon did a bad job on her homecoming hair and didn't have her makeup appointment. so we called and the manager hooked us up with a great makeup expert. When she saw my daughter crying, she got her in to the Salon where Rikki made her hair spectacular!!!! A couple of weeks later, she wanted her first growny hair cut with highlights. Ms. Rikki was amazing!!!! Go see her for all your hair needs. read more

This is a sorry excuse for a store. Everything is so disorganized and poorly stocked. The makeup section is especially bad. The shelves, displays are filthy and need to be wiped down. So many products are out of stock. Very ticked at the constant long lines (every single time I have been in) with only one available cashier, while there was a cluster of at least 4 employees talking at the fragrance bar 6 feet away from the registers. At one point another cashier came over, opened his register with a huge, dramatic sigh, rang up 2 customers and then closed back up leaving me next in line wondering WTF? Hate this place but they are the only game in town. read more

I love Ulta. I really do & I am somewhat of an addict.... last year I redeemed $250 worth of points so I am an Ulta super fan. Lol. Today for the first time I went to the benefit brow bar. In the past, I had avoided benefit's brow bar because it was more expensive than what I was paying at other waxing salons but today was Sunday & all other waxing services were closed. I needed my eyebrows waxed really bad so I decided to book here. My appointment was at 11:20 & I arrived around 11:15. McKenzie immediately started working on me. She cleaned my eyebrow area with a great smelling solution. She outlined my eyebrows based on the perfect shape for my face. She then showed me the "results" & gave me recommendations which I went with. She then clean my eyebrow area again & waxed my eyebrows. She was precise and she took her time. I did not feel like it was "wax, wax, leave" like other salons do. She then filled in my eyebrows. They look great! She had great customer service and was super friendly. I will be coming back not only because of all the extras you get with the eyebrow wax service but because of her! Ladies, if you're wondering if the $20 is worth it, IT IS! I went into Ulta today to buy a gift card for my teenage daughter's birthday. I was perusing the aisles putting on makeup, enjoying a half-day off work, when this young man, Shaunelius, asked if I wanted to buy a hair package insted. I declined, but asked him for a haircut for myself instead. My hair was loooking RAGGED. He took me back right away and immediately started trimming the hideous dead ends from my head. Fifteen minutes later, he had, in one small hair cut, done absolute wonders for my hair. It looked SO much better. I'm not sure where Shaunelius went to cosmetogy school, but he has TALENT. This place is not just for women. It does a couple of shelves for men. I have purchased shaving products and some cologne from there. They have many brands of shaving supplies: Lab Series, Art of Shaving, Anthony Logistics, etc. Store is clean and staff have always been polite and helpful when you see them. read more

I just left the Ulta across from the Bel Air Mall. There were probably about five associates working in there and no one could help me. Even after I asked an employee helping someone else if she could grab another associate to help me, to no avail no help. On top of that she gave me some weird face. The other associates were talking to each other and walking around. Won't be going back. You may want to evaluate your employees because I'm sure there are plenty of people who would kill to work in there. People that can give better service than what I just received. read more

Went into Ulta 9/10/14. As the employee was unlocking the door to open, late I might add, she closed it behind her and muttered a barely audible good morning as I opened the door for myself to walk in. The store was dirty, trash was all over the floor. The shelves were not organized, products all over the place, nothing where it should be, they were out of a lot of products, too many to just be waiting on more. There was no alcohol or cleansers out to remove samples. Not one person asked if they could help me, employees were walking with their heads down, intentionally avoiding doing their jobs. I want to thank Ulta for reminding me why I shop at Sephora. I will not waste my time there again. read more

Cosmetics and polishes are always poorly stocked, the shelves and fixtures are filthy with make up and the store in general is dirty. I came here to get a perm in spring 2013 and asked for the salon manager to do my hair, not sure if it was the manager but a small dark complected girl did my hair. As soon as she started pulling out the rollers chunks of my hair started falling out, she said ohhh this is normal it will be fine, well for weeks chunks continued falling out and the rest of my hair literally was in dread locks, I finally had to cut it all off and before I came in I had long beautiful silky hair!!
