But with a marathon next week I was in a tough spot and was able to get in at this location. Upon arrival for my 10am appointment the front door was locked, the receptionist warmly greeted me and apologized. My masseuse, Quaina only does light-medium but did her best with my 200lb frame and hit my problem areas, and with the deep muscle enhancement I throughly enjoyed my session.

I talked to the owner, who was very dismissive. He gave me cream that was supposed to help with healing but didn't give any instructions on how to use it. To make matters worse, he gave me the cream as if I owed him for it. I had multiple RF microneedlings before moving to Alabama. So, I know that this time was not normal. It has been over a month since then, and the discoloration and needle scars persist. I reached out to the owner for a full refund. He said they don't provide refunds but only store credit. Please tell me who, in their right mind, would want to go back to their medspa after what I have endured. Microneedling is supposed to make my face look better, not damage it. I have taken care of my skin, and they ruined it. The least they can do is own up to it and hold themselves accountable. Do not go to this spa! If something goes wrong with your procedure, you are on your own! They have no accountability!

I wax my underarms but I wanted my legs done properly. The salon is clean and well organized, I can say that at least. My esthetician is a very fun person but her wax knowledge is lacking. The wax was too hot and gave me a heat rash each time. While she did use a clean stick each time, she didn't apply any tension and pulled slowly. My leg hairs are not removed, they are all broken. So I am left to deal with a multitude of ingrown hairs and stubble! I'm really upset and I HATE leaving bad reviews but this was too much to let slide. Never again.

They are new to the area, so they were very receptive to feedback when I encountered some issues on my first visit, and I haven't had a problem since. Coming from Seattle, the mask policy, or lack of it here, was a bit confusing, but local regulations are very different in AL and businesses can only do so much. So be aware that masks are not required at this location, but you are free to wear one if you prefer it. Plus at least some of the technicians do wear one.

It almost looked like I had gotten a peel because it was so bad. It makes me think the items used in my facial were not properly cleaned. I cannot imagine any other reason because I've never had issues anywhere else with any service. I had booked another service and ended up cancelling the next day since I woke up looking like a hot mess. I told them my reason for cancelling and zero follow up or even an apology. The people are also somewhat pushy. They would not take no for an answer about joining their clubs or whatever they call it. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I would say be aware.

Kit reviewed my paperwork, let me know everything looked great, and told me I'd be with Liz, reassuring me I was in good hands. A few minutes later, Liz came out to get me and walked me back to the suite. The room smelled amazing, the table was warm, and everything felt calm and inviting. Before starting, Liz asked about my problem areas, and once I shared, she got right to work. Her deep tissue massage and spinal decompression techniques were incredible. When I mentioned my lower back was still a little tight afterward, she didn't hesitate to go back and make sure it was fully addressed. After the session, Liz walked me up front where Maria helped check me out and book my next appointment and she was super friendly and made the process easy. Overall, the entire team at Hand & Stone made my experience smooth, relaxing, and professional from start to finish. I'm already looking forward to seeing Liz again in January. Today's review is from the perspective of pharmacy services. I was here for immunizations that I…read moreneed to stay working. The appointment process is fantastic--all online and simple. Arriving ten minutes before my appointment there was a loooong line at the pharmacy. The special garage door for COVID Vaccines was closed with signage indicating ask at the pharmacy desk for FREE take home tests. No thanks. I waited in the line behind six others who were there for a variety of things, most picking up prescriptions. Fifteen minutes later I made it to the front. There was a bit of confusion as to whether I needed additional paperwork (I competed it in the app). I was sent to have a seat and wait. Seven seats and they were all taken, so I stood. I have no problem with standing--I'm merely pointing out that they were oversubscribed. I was called back up and given...paperwork. Why would I spend time in the online system to "expedite" my visit..,only ti do it manually at the pharmacy? Furthermore, why would I fill out the same Vaccine Administration Record questionnaire for each shot? Then there was an employee shift change. Evidentially the app allowed me and some others to schedule at this awkward time. I waited for a full hour after my appointment. Each time there was an immunization the person administering it would lock up and disappear for a cigg break or something for 10 minutes. Must be unionized. I would have left, but they had my immunization record and I don't feel like recreating that. This place stinks to get in and out of, and frankly I avoid it because of that. I wouldn't be here tonight if they had not offered me an appointment. Bottom line--save yourself the frustration and an evening. Go to Walmart for your vaccines. Most certainly avoid this Walgreens.
