This clinic does not appear to have a diverse group of providers or front desk staff, and the lobby displayed photos and book materials that suggested political alignment. Combined, this created an environment where we felt unwelcome and unsafe. During the visit, the provider did not physically examine my child's skin. She did not approach her, sit in front of her, or closely evaluate her face or body acne. She remained standing by the door for the entire visit. The assistant stood near the counter. I will not speculate on intent, but the impact was clear. My child felt unseen, uncomfortable, and unsupported. Despite no exam or meaningful medical history taken, Accutane was quickly prescribed. The only question asked was whether my child was pregnant. Provider and staff diversity matters. It affects comfort, trust, and quality of care. This visit failed to meet basic standards of adolescent dermatologic care and felt ineffective.

When she first meets you she talks you through everything. She tells you how the laser works, what it will feel like, what you'll see in the weeks to come, etc. She has a great "bed side manner" and she seems to never be running behind schedule. If you're doing the laser hair removal you'll need to go back every 6 weeks for at least 6 treatments. The laser works best on dark hair and the area needs to be shaved prior to each treatment. The pain is not too bad, kinda feels like getting popped with a hot rubber band and it's really quick. I very rarely wait longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and once I'm back in an exam room I'm in and out in another 5 minutes.
