Stopped in for my birthday gift, and you might have thought I was asking to see Ulta Beauty secrets and business model. They found my account only after I asked them to look it up. I was then advised they apparently have a new process, which resulted in me calling guest services and took about 15 min for an email just to get a freebie. I spend a lot of money here and have never had a problem with Ulta, but the customer service was mid. Felt I was bothering them, and it wasn't a pleasant ulta experience. read more

This store are a hit & miss. Sometimes I go in and they are stocked. Sometimes you go and there isn't anything in stock. The associates are always nice though. I do like they stay open later than the other stores cause getting off late this helps except with the occasional stocking issue. The displays could've been better. I still shop here because I do get that the theft is horrible at the stores at River Crossing so I know low stock could be due to that. read more

I go to this location often, if I don't know where something is i am usually able to find someone quickly to point me in the right direction. My most recent visit was on a Thursday about an hour before closing time, I had a coupon for a product and I had no clue where the product was. I heard a lot of noise and noticed the employees were stocking inventory so I asked the closes person to me where I can find the "C.Boots" products. The nice girl that I located( colorful green & purple curly hair) not only told me where the product was but actually took me to the products I was looking for. That made my heart smile because she really didn't have to do that. I quickly found the product I was looking for and approached the cash register. The girl at the register was very helpful and patient and even gave me some time to look for another coupon in my email ( that I ended up not finding ). This ulta is TERRIBLE!! I was so disappointed with this store and its lack of customer service! The employees treat you so rude. The management of this store needs to step up and see what's going on with the employees!! There was 3 associates standing around talking and laughing when I asked for help 2 walked off and the other girl acted like she didn't hear me. When I finally got her attention she was less than helpful I could have done better alone. My mom was trying to purchase a coach fragrance set she had a few questions about it and due to the employees ugly and un helpful ways she left without it. We left without buying anything and will gladly go back to the ulta in our hometown and spend our money where the employees are happy and helpful and the customer service is top notch!!! read more

The store overall is clean and they have a decent stock, but upon closer look you find the displays are old, not well kept or cleaned, and the testers are often gross and need replacing. Items are often disheveled and misplaced. They definitely either need a new replenishment person to stock shelves and keep them up, or a sales associate designated to clean and straighten them throughout the day. Customer service is so-so. It seems like they've only focused on cashiers, hair dressers, and makeup artist. Other than that, you're on your own as the associates are either bothered by you, or more wrapped up in their own conversations with each other. In the past 5 recent visits, we've only been helped maybe once. By a young black male makeup artist (I didn't catch his name), we were in love with his approach, personality, and he introduced us to a new product we wouldn't have otherwise looked at. But unfortunately, he disappeared and we haven't seen him working there since. It's okay... it's like we stop here just to try and restock on stuff we see online IF they even have it, instead of the experience/treat of the store. Going to a Sephora store is more like a experience/treat for us; going to Ulta is more like a typical visit to Walgreens for essentials. read more

Workers are absolutely rude! I was doing some research on my phone about foundations when a worker asked across the store if I needed help. I told her I didn't think so that I think I figured it out. Another worker laughed at me and said "she do need help." All 4 workers then started laughing at me. I highly doubt I'll be back into this store. So I went to Ulta and got a consultation about a balayage ombré hair style. Everything sounded good until I went into my appointment and it was a different stylist than the one who consulted me (because the original lady was in an accident), I brought in pictures of what I wanted and she seemed to know what I was talking about however she gave me a bad strips/zig zag of dark roots compared to the dirty blonde that she dyed it. It was no where near the picture so they had to fix it but they had no time the same day so I reschedule with the original lady. She corrected it and did a much better job. I would not recommend going to patty (salon manager) for a coloring but I would recommend going to Carrie for better quality service and hair that's who corrected it . read more

There are many makeup choices In this store. There are employees that are available to answer questions. I personally like the smaller makeup counters with people who have been trained on a specific product, but my niece was happy with her shopping experience here. Andrew did my hair color yesterday and he did an AMAZING job! Excellent customer service. His consult to determine what exactly I was looking for was spot on. He kept a very nervous lady well informed on every aspect of the procedure. He wisely talked me into a less dramatic cut as the color was quite a big change. Best of all as I was walking down a hallway last night I noticed a lady's hair I really liked. Turned out it 'twas a mirror! Andrew has created an Ulta customer for life and a walking talking endorsement for your company. I've worked customer service long enough to know the intrinsic value in that. Sadly I live about 800 miles from your Macon location so I will not be able to use his services regularly but there's an Ulta in Bradley, Illinois that's about to get a bit busier. The customer service at this ulta is disappointing and awful. There is never anyone on the floor to help you if you have a question. And when you do finally find someone to help, they act like you are a nuisance. They rather stand around & gossip about their fellow co-workers and customers. The store is filthy compared to other ulta's. I had an associate who would not help me & I asked for the manager (Jordan, I think was her name). She could of cared less about the service I received. Brides beware!! And really everyone else should be too. I made an appointment for my sister to have her make up done on her wedding day. When I called they couldn't make the appointment any earlier than 11:00 but that was fine because we had to be at the church at 12:00 and it wasn't far from the store. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told that the person that would be doing my sister's make up hadn't gotten there yet and would be there shortly. My first thought was "why did you make an appointment for 11:00 if the person doesn't get there until 11:00?". The makeup artist didn't get there until about 5 or 10 minutes AFTER 11:00. My sister got in the chair at 11:15 and I had already gone over to the Clinique counter to ask if she would do her make up. The Clinique lady told us that all make up like that had to go through the salon. So I asked for the manager. The manager and makeup artist told me to calm down and everything would work out. She hadn't even gotten any supplies together but felt it was necessary to tell me she was supposed to come in at 10:30 and wasn't feeling well so she came in at 11:00. Not my fault. The salon should have scheduled it with someone else or called us!!! We ended up walking out because of the horrible service. No one EVER apologized to us or tried to make my sister, the Bride, feel better! Never shopping here again!!!!! read more

Disappointed with the customer service I receive at Ulta today. Yesterday, someone failed to put nail polish I had purchased in my bag, and I called to see if they were able to find it behind the counter. The girl on the phone said no and didn't offer to help me in any other way other than I can come back in the store. (I live 45 minutes away) So I come back today and told what happened to the employee at the counter. She never apologized and gave me two options because they no longer had the nail polish (that I had bought and not received) anymore in the store. So I just opted to get my money back, and she gave me my receipt and said, "Thank you." Um, I would have preferred an apology instead of, thank you for not being satisfied. I was intending on shopping and purchasing something else in the store afterwards, but instead I just wanted to leave. I will go back to Ulta only because I can't get the products I use elsewhere near me, but I suggest that they put a little more emphasis on making the customer satisfied and appreciated. read more
