I got my hair cut at the Salon by Melody, who is probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. She's extremely talented and funny to listen to and talk to in the chair. She's did an amazing job with my hair, was extremely willing to share tips and knowledge, and answered any questions I had. She does a great job with men's hair, which worked out it pretty well for me. Im not shocked at all that this place has bad reviews. The employees don't really care to help customers. I went in with webpage opened letting them know I needed a certain type of product and showed them the product on their webpage that is online only. They said they don't have anything like that at Ulta, I mentioned... this is the Ulta webpage, this is what my daughter said to get something similar to this. Was a white eyeliner thing. The employee didn't know what was what and said they dont have anything like that. She asked what. would assume was the manager and said to look in a certain brand. I'm looking around... completely clueless... I asked an employee to help me and they are worthless. Good customer service is to help them find an item or something similar, if they don't know, maybe look it up so you can make a sale, not just say, oh just go look in that brand. read more

I had a horrible experience at this salon! I can see why people give this place horrible reviews! Brittany did my hair I had a picture of the cut I wanted and she didn't even pay attention to it she cut my hair completely off with horrible short layers which was nothing I wanted. it looks choppy and awful! I didn't want short layers because I have autoimmune skin condition and now I can't keep my hair off my face and it's itching! I won't recommend this salon at all! So now I have to wait till my hair grows out and going to be struggling for months after having a horrible year already, so thanks Brittany for making my life so much worse this year! read more

Went to get a haircut yesterday. We had loved it previously. We had a new stylist we had never seen before as our previous stylist ( who we had loved) was no longer styling at the salon but had recommended this one.The stylist was an hour late (had no customer ahead of us) we came for a full haircut and shampoo and got and got a dry bang trim and absolutely none was taken off the back at all and the bangs were not straight and charged $42. The hair dresser did not listen to us at all and lied through the entire experience. We have gone to ulta for years and loved it but after yesterday we will never go back. read more

Would you like to be completely ignored when all you need to ask is if this store carrie's a specific brand? If so, this is the place for you... You'll find many huddles of workers having chats about everything from, what their mom is taking for her diabetes, to what they did this last weekend. And you'll learn all the details because they won't stop taking to each other till they're finished with their conversation. I'm a guy. I don't even use anything in here, but I do pop my head in here every now and then to pick up gifts. You know how Target or Walmart has a cosmetics/beauty aisle? Well, this is just like that but like 100 aisles of stuff. They pretty much have EVERYTHING beauty or hair/skin/nail care, except the one thing I would like. A cream or lotion of some sort that can be applied to my face that would absorb all the oil and make it matte look. Anyway, every time I'm in here I always get approached by almost every staff in there to ask if I need help. Very cool. Place is also very brightly lit, and extremely clean. Even when they are swamped. Why can't other stores take note of how Ulta achieves that. They are always having amazing deals of items too, and many times you get gift baskets filled with goodies if you purchase over a certain amount (and the amount isn't even high, something like $20). Right now for the holiday season they have a makeup kit/box for $20 and supposedly it has $200 worth of stuff. Now, I'm not sure if the value is indeed $200 or not, but based on input from my gf it is indeed a crazy good deal. Did you know they also have lots of stuff for men? Yep, us men have a whole little area for ourselves... oh, speaking of that, I HAVE bought something here for myself. A nice classic wooden comb for like $3. I've been using it for about 2 years and it's still in perfect condition. read more

Little selection of a brand i use, will have to buy it at an Ulta in another state as i travel to a larger city. No one acknowledges when u enter, look around, or exit. Not the type of service or shall i say lack of service that I had come to expect at an Ulta. My suggestion, stay home and order online if u must or buy direct. Not worth driving to. read more

This is a newer Ulta in the Tri-Cities area. I visited the salon and Madison did a great bombshell blow out for me. It is hard for me to find a stylist that knows what to do with my hair due to the length & thickness including the correct products to use. I would totally recommend her! Very friendly!
